"Point Break" is what Tony Stark called Thor, I think in reference to Thor looking a little like Patrick Swayze's character Bodhi in that movie. Also, IMO this movie's use of Immigrant Song is one of the greatest uses of an established song as non-diagetic music in ANY movie EVER!

I can't say I loved it, but I definitely didn't hate it. It had some specific moments that were awesome, but I think the humor just went too far with some of the running gags. And Korg is something that is best in small doses. I think he had too much dialogue overall. The ending bit though, that was awesome. No spoilers but when that one thing happened, and that particular song chimed up for the climax (you know the bit I mean), I was 100% on board. 4:46: Sadly it's been long enough since The Dark World that Ashleigh forgot the ending scene where Thor tells "Odin" that he doesn't want to be king, just a guardian of the realms, and after he leaves Odin is revealed to be Loki in disguise. 10:03 Trivia: Though this movie makes her moniker mean she's a master at killing people, in the older comics more directly based on real Norse mythology, Hela is the goddess of death because she is the ruler and caretaker of the realm of the dead (similar to Hades in Greek mythology), Niflheim. (She's also Loki's daughter in that continuity) Don't worry about Valkyrie being a romantic interest for anyone. The whole point of the Valkyrie as a group was that they were like Norse Amazons- warrior women who lived independently from the rest of Asgard and were uninterested in men.

In mythology, the Valkyries were responsible for gathering the worthy dead from the battlefields and transporting them to Valhalla. They also helped decide the outcome of battles to some degree. In the comics, Valkyrie is a tall blond shield maiden named Brunhilda and she has a winged horse whose name I can't remember at the moment. The scene in the memory Loki jars back into Valkyrie's mind is an allusion to this. Edit: Valkyrie's name should be spelled "Brunnhilde", according to the Marvel version. In reality, there's several different spellings that are all equally "correct", depending on the exact language and region. Oh, and the horse's name is Aragorn.

Love your reaction (As always!): Fun Theory about why Loki looks so similar to Hela and not Thor. You noticed in this movie when Loki touched Valkarie he was able to see her memories. The Theory is that when Odin found Loki as a frost giant baby and picked him up, baby loki was able to see the memories of Odin and changed his appearance to be similar to Odin's first born Hela. This would explain why Hela and Loki not only have similar features and hair color but also wear green in their outfits. So Loki having that strong memory as a baby still in his mind he subconsciously bases his appearance on Hela and why even though he is a frost giant he doesn't normally have his bluish skin like he should.

The theory I've heard and liked about why Loki and Helya kind of match (for the MCU anyway) is that Odinn banished Helya but still very much loved her and missed her. He encouraged Loki to have a similar look. In the original myths, Loki was Helya's parent. The fact you said "Not the voice I expected" when Korg first spoke was intentional. The director based him off bouncers he'd met at New Zealand bars back home where they looked like they could kill you with a thought, but were actually pretty chill dudes. The director also voices Korg. When Korg also mentions the three vampires weapon, it's a reference to the director's other work "What we Do In The Shadows." I also love Loki's reaction to Thor getting "Puny God" pounded by the Hulk, since he knows how it feels.

    1) Fun fact: in the original script, instead of sending Loki to liminal space to keep falling while Strange and Thor chatted, Strange sent him to hang out in a port-a-potty on a construction site; the workers could get in to use it, but he couldn't get out, until Thor showed up with a special key Dr. Strange gave him. They filmed this version, it's on youtube, titled "Thor Ragnarok deleted scene,Loki Vs Doctor Strange,Loki Vs Doctor Strange" 2)Jeff Goldblum's character, The Grandmaster, is one of the oldest and most powerful beings in the universe, the ageless "Elders of the Universe," which is why he so easily overpowered Thor and Loki. He is the brother of The Collector (from Guardians of the Galaxy; the weird guy with the huge collection of beings and artifacts on NoWhere). 3)The character Korg - the rock being Thor meets - is voiced (and motion captured!) by the director, Taika Waititi. 4)The big ship in the first end credits scene is Thanos's war ship. DUN DUN DUN. 5)You should really check out the gag/blooper reel on this one, it's SO FUNNY.
