I have had a look at the European version of this model, and I see that it comes with a window in the bathroom. Do you think Westfalia in the US would consider doing the same for their US production models. A window just opens the space up, and I find bathrooms in vans without windows so claustrophobic. Also a window helps with ventilation. Thanks!

Thanks so much for sharing this! It's awesome to see what is evolving. The rear area design to me is the most intriguing. Also liked the bathrooms inset compartments. I assume the sink was under the glass to with the gas burner? One feature Id like to see changes is the stoves glass top. From my experience glass is a rattling noise maker on rough roads. I'd prefer a different material top.

Love the Wesflia! European styling looks so much better and that innovative use of turning the jump seats into a bed is a game changer. Finally a class B that can fit my family 🤙

Boy do I like that garage, especially since you can expand it by making the bed solo, which I plan to do. I don’t think Nick overhyped it. There is so much innovation, which the Class B market needs. I’m surprised 2024 Westfalia didn’t get more coverage. Thanks, Hank and Steve.

I love them all, especially the pivot; however, the Westfellia is my first choice because of the converting seat. I wish it was a little shorter, like the storyteller; otherwise, it's perfect. I'm a mobile massage therapist, and I've been looking at ways to incorporate my table into a van. Thanks for featuring this van; it just made my day.

A few things should be noted about this unit: This is a Westfalia Columbus 640 if you want to compare the vehicles. - There’s no release date, I would not expect anything sold until 2025-6. - This appears production ready, but I think this is very early and rough around the edges - The seats are from previous iteration of Westfalia in Europe. They’re all black now in the 2024’s. - Cabinetry has design confusion on handles, and 2024 Westfalia vans have push to open upper cabinets and positive latch bottom drawers. - The body exterior design is Roadtrek (except the windows) - European models have hydronic in floor heating, not the Truma system. - 600AH Lithium from Roadtrek is the proprietary KS2 system they’ve used since the Ecotrek days. It’s not user friendly or cheap to fix. I hope they drop this system in production. - The AC, Shore power location and Firefly systems are also hold overs from the Roadtrek line I expect big changes when it goes into production. Especially the Roadtrek design elements.

The Westfalia is the sharpest! I'd like to see if they can reinforce the platform where the transformer bed is, the squeaking is too much and makes me think it will crack.

I like the Roadtrek with the navy blue accents is beautiful.

FINALLY!!! I've been asking myself for years why Europe gets all the really cool features, with excellent engineering and design! The only thing I'd like to really see is the Cook-style hardtop loft. Maybe Westfalia has that in the works. Really exciting stuff!

It's very hard to find a camper van B that can sleep and seat 5. Only a few campers have that ability.

Is the pop top still accessible via ladder when the back seats are converted into a bed?

Yes! Even when the seats are converted into a bed, you can access the pop top.

Would love to see this type of floorplan on a transit, love the extra bed option in the front lounge!

Great overview. Is this Westfalia 21ft long?

I think this is the only one that will work for me because my giant two-wheel drive ebike could fit in the back and I could still sleep in it I'm wondering if I can get it raise a little bit for some ground clearance and I definitely want a gas stove and a few other stuff added like a super-cool stereo system up front like I have in my dodge truck , but I will pay extra for that not a problem.. and I love that battleship Gray that's my favorite color.. even those other Vans with the new colored plastic. I think I'm going to go with the Westphalia

I am definitely impressed with the 2024 selections..Thanks for sharing..Can’t wait to order mine..I have a lot to choose from ( in class B ). As far as insurance..is there a specific company that does the insurance for these or do we go through or own ( State Farm..Allstate..Progressive ) ?

Any plans to do a Vlog on the new 2024 Westfalia Wave to be on display at the Florida RV Show in February?

The Westfalia is great - bringing Euro design to the US is a smart move. There is some great stuff in there - there are a few things I'd be interested in learning more about - the Westfalia solar and inverter - is it comparable to the Revel system where you can run your AC for long periods, runs the fridge full time and allows for a portable (indoor/outdoor) induction cooktop? The inverter allowed us to live off the solar for multiple days with no generator. I like the changes to the RAM front end - has the engine or any other part of the chassis been modified? Thanks for the video & info - keep them coming!

That Westy is nothing less than a "Work Of Art" !! Form and function go hand n hand. Like at that separate fold-up bed?, it's genius, and the rear, that creative space should fit my AWD E-bike. Then Roadtrek ?.. Those colors look good enough to eat,, and styles in options are definitely doable. Here's a company who listens to its customers and actually stands behind its product. It's not just my opinion, I've heard it from people who own them. It's also best to purchase from a reputable dealership.I can't wait to come down to SSRV and experience these in person, because no dealership in New England can hold a candle to these guys as far as inventory and product knowledge. Plus you get a two-night stay at a campsite and a year of Harvest Hosts ??? .In Connecticut there's no more than 10 class B's in our state,and if you mention extras like Nick offers? They look at you like you're from another planet. A steering wheel isnt standard e.q. here. You want to save more $ ?, they'll probably disconnect the brake lights and horn for you, doesn't matter anyway on sleet and ice ! Connecticut however, does have the best clam chowder...as long as the clams come from Rhode Island..😂 Kudos to Nick,Hank and Lola.. We all love you up here.!!!

Don't need a pop top but really like the flexibility of the Westphalia. The colors on the Roadtrek are nice. Silver, white and gray do get boring.

Do you think RAM will offer an AWD version of the Promaster at some point?

It would be awesome if they did, however that would be a complete redesign of the chassis and I would guess they’re probably going to off an electric version first and perhaps that could be AWD…I think there is a 4x4 kit out there though

Is it 19 feet?

will the a/c be 12volt?

It looks like it needs one more travel seat. It can sleep 5 (2 in pop top, 2 behind and 1 up front), but only seat 4 (4 belted seats). Maybe one (or two) more jump seat(s) in the back?

With all the squeaking floors that give you an indication of overall build quality

How about a Westfalia on a 136 wb Promaster?

Is there going to be an AC? How big are the water tank, gray tank. You guys have to take care of the squeaky flor and I want more details about the toilet!

Yes, there is an AC. With the pop top it will be the same GE unit that Roadtrek uses on their Slumber model. Details on the tank sizes and toilet should be released as we get closer to seeing them on the production line!

Westfalia....They need to make the back seat into a groove type lounge type adjustable seating...a shelf for the outside...power lifting bed....

I was set on getting a roadtrek zion slumber until i saw this. My main criteria is 5 seated passenger and 5 sleeping. This Westfalia Ram is amazing but it falls short. Why would there be room to sleep up to 5 but only 4 seatbelts. Does not make much sense. There should be a way to allow more seating in the rear. Really like the design and details. Also cargo area is a great concept.

Does the Westafalia EURO 2024 run on gasoline or diesel and any solar panels on top?

It is on the RAM Promaster Chassis, which runs on gasoline; this model with the pop-top does not include solar panels. But stay tuned for future models.

That squeak needs to be fixed.

Price?

The bathroom does not have a window or ventilation, missed out on that.

Great to see European inspired Camper Vans finally starting to hit the U.S. Market. However, they keep saying that Euro vans in the US is a "new" development. Seems they forgot about Erwin Hymer's Aktiv and Aktiv 2.0. Those where in the US Market in 2017 to 2019. Then they left the US market, of course after shaking up the US market. Which is why we are just now beginning to see Euro Vans coming to the U.S. I guess the European van builders realized the potential in the U.S. market. Provided, they could make a deal with the U.S. RV Cartels. Not to mention the fact that Americans have been asking loudly for euro vans. Since Americans where introduced to them with the Hymer Aktiv. Also, take a look at Wingamm out of Italy.

Beautiful but no one did it better than The Airstream import of the Sprinter Westfalia in 2004/5.

The Jame Cook high roof in the mid 2000’s was an actual import, not a reimagining for the NA market. But, I am with you. We need a closer European standard and features to be held too. AC, 600ah, microwave, etc need to go. Give us more base features and to build off of with a lower price tag at entrance. These also have in-floor hydronic heating in Europe.

@@cmprvnyup, I was the lucky few that owned one. It was amazing that they struggled with sales back then. Can you imagine I paid $65,000.00 back then. They are selling for that now in great condition. I believe they only imported some 400+ units.

Many refrigerators in Europe vans have doors that can open both ways. Why not this one?

I think they went too big at the outset...where's the Nugget equivalent? A daily driver that doubles as a camper...that's what I want...I still work a day job and would like long weekends on the road.... IE a low top Ford Transit with a pop top.

I stopped watching at 10:24. Cassette toilet. :( My wife hates the lingering smell of human waste that gets carried around. Costs less for the manufacturer; I get it.

Agree! Cassette toilet is a deal breaker. I got a expensive bike and travel solo so would be the perfect setup w/o the pop top plus solar and would be a hybrid between adventure van and luxury van.
