It was my first time flying the DJI mini 2 and I sure love it it’s easy to operate and it even stays stabilized in the air while I’m trying to take pictures of my property and my house

First of all really nice video ! I had a question, so earlier this year i've been offered the mini 2 se which i love and adore, yet I was leaning toward of getting a mini 3 as an upgrade, would you say it is worth it ?

I’m still flying the original Mini ! I’d like to upgrade mainly for active track of the 3 Pro but it’s a big price jump. My requirement is as small as possible to record my solo Bikepacking rides so object avoidance and follow mode would be best on country trails. But that price leap is my current barrier

Have you considered purchasing a 3rd party application for your Mini OG? I use Litchi with my Mini SE and LOVE it! There are a lot of videos on KZread that show off the capabilities of Litchi, including my own. Well worth spending a few bucks to check it out versus dropping hundos (or more) on a new drone.

@@CousinSchultz yes I’ve got Litchi but found it’s follow mode for the original Mini very very poor. Way too unreliable unfortunately

If you're going to make that jump, I'd recommend going with the Air 2S for a little more if you can. I'm researching the Mini 2 SE for my Dads first drone but I fly the Air 2S and it really is an awesome drone and at that price it's a good deal in my opinion. I don't think it's much bigger than the 3 Pro and has great obstacle avoidance.

@@djchristensen1 Funny you should mention that. My Air 2s fly more combo is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I am super stoked!

I picked up the Mini 2 se at Christmas for my son and he absolutely loves it. So easy to fly out the box and his first drone. I got it from Costco and it came with a few extra's, second battery, carry pouch and spare parts.

Hello, 1, Thanks for the great video:) 2, The differences between mini2 se and mini2 is the quality of the video 2,7K vs 4K. What's your opinion of the video difference, is it worth buying the more expensive one or is the difference between 2.7K and 4K not significant? thanks a lot

Just depends on your output. Do you even need 4k? Are u editing and exporting out in 4k or 1080

No unless it’s over 250 grams. Check your local laws for more guidance.

Will buy SE. international travel always carries risk of this thing getting confiscated for me. So it’s easier to replace. Also, DJI sells body only, no battery or remote version of SE for this very reason.

Not sure what you mean by 'forced', that sounds like standard RTH feature to me, but yes it does, and RTH kicks in automatically at low battery as well

DJI offered the Mini 2 and Air 2s with too many features and now they are trying to back pedal. The idea of a Mini 2 SE is without doubt is to kill the regular Mini 2.......Crazy stuff!! In this market it should be Mini 2, Air 2's and finally Mavic 3 Classic in your cycle of drones

I still stay at the 2 se because the extra batterys and etc are much cheaper to buy

I have read of owners who wanted to use their Android phone and the Fly app would not work. Can this be confirmed or denied? Thanks.

I really want the drone to follow me, since I like doing bicycle touring videos, but the jumps from 300 to 700 is a lot. I heard only the pro had a tracking. I feel like for a starter drone the mini 2 se is a good drone.

I like your videos, being watching for quite some time but I am left with the impression that you work for DJI. You made reference that the Mini 2 SE or whatever does not have tracking ability. That may be true using DJI controller software but if you use Maven controller software, you have tracking, way-point and many additional features where you don't have to pay DJI for a newer drone.

Don’t work them, and there’s not much out there that compares. If you know of any let me know.

I went with mini 2 fly more combo as 1st drone. That was already too much money for a beginner.

Beware of SE limitations. Litchi is still not supported by software linking. It pays to have a can of inert gas duster, as open motors pick up metal fragments on the magnets in the motors, making them crunch and jam. Blowing is not enough to clear the magnets, U need compressed air.

I live in Norway, they have prices the Mini 2 SE same price as the Mini 2..... they are both for 600$ flymore combo... Dont know who would buy the SE 2over a Mini 2....

Why they created Mini 2 SE? To kill regular 2 and sell more Mini3's. So if you are going to get Mini 2 don't wait to long.

I fear they are playing you into their next thing, marketing foremost. That is both exciting, and eqaually worrisome

I wouldn't compare the Mini 2 SE to anything but the original Mini or the Mini SE, simply because of the Stone Age 2.7K camera. It's simply a replacement for the first Mini SE, with the better transmission of the 2. I can't believe that they took such a significant step backward with this one.

Thanks for your take. To me, the mini and se are obsolete now. I compared the 2 Se and mini 3 because as a new buyer, I would want to know what’s the latest platform out there and what do I get for my money.
