This was insane. I thought I got pretty good at the game after getting the platinum but this video completely shot me back down to earth. Amazing gameplay man! 😂

@@ends_with_a_bullet you don’t overlevel hard mode. It’s all designed for level 50. You can grind out a little more damage via AP + SP, but that’s pretty much it.

You made reno and rude seem heroic the way they persisted in their mission, despite the cosmic ass-whipping you put down on them.

To be fair, the Turks are your allies by the end of the game. In the original you bond with them so much that the final battle with them can be optional and even if its not, you still dont kill them.

60fps is definitely the way to go. Makes everything so much quicker and smoother. Synergy in 30fps sucked. But now it's a must! I hardly never found a use in Perry materia but seeing you use it has changed my mind. And I'll absolutely be there for your Rebirth videos. Glad I discovered you. 👍

Love the video but no whipser and Sephiroth no damage fight?

I hope that in Final Fantasy Vii Rebirth you'll do the same process as the Final Fantasy Vii remake as that will be amazing at the start of 2024 when it comes out on the ps5!

Finishing the final boss on hard mode had it be one of the most satisfying things I’ve done in a game. Once you understand the combat it’s a damn fun time

All practice and understanding the mechanics really dude. He's super vulnerable to stagger as soon as he's pressured, more so than most bosses. Clouds physical damage is key to forcing pressure. As for the limits, with refocus you're refunded half of your limit bar and it'll only take one, maybe two staggers after that to have a full limit ready afterwards 👍

Question: Those unique little dodges Cloud does in the Reno fight, are they due to a certain materia? Second how are you staggering bosses so damn FAST?! I can't get anywhere near that fast with staggering them!

Hi mate. The Reno jump isn't a materia it's just a quirky little mechanic of the fight. Dodge roll toward him at exactly the right time as he lunges at you and you'll vault him. With regards to the staggers, utilise enemy weakness with magic as much as possible and once pressured, everything generates 4x the stagger value. As a tip, using a level 2 spell such as Fira has the same stagger value as level 3 (Firaga) so it can save you cast time and MP. Ice has significantly higher stagger values than any other element, if the enemy doesn't have a specific weakness or of course it's weakness is ice, Blizzara is by far the most efficient way to stagger it. Hey man, no problem at all. It's as simple as dodge rolling towards him. The timing has to be pretty precise, as he lunges at you with that specific animation just roll toward him and if you've timed it correctly you'll vault him. Good luck 👍

The description says this is pre-intergrade, so how did you cancel whirling uppercut into focus strike in the airbuster fight? I haven't been able to do that

Hi mate. It isn't a cancel, it's just using an ability out of the uppercut. Basically identical to uppercut-divekick, only focused striking instead. Just spam it as the uppercut lands and you should be fine 👍

You just need to dodge roll toward Reno when he lunges towards you. The timing has to be precise though! Him and Weiss are the only 2 bosses you can do this against.

After finishing the game and enjoying it a lot i thought i was ready for hardmode and couldnt even get close to beating the scorpion sentinel. i see now there are so many more mechanics and strategies i need to learn. I think ill just play it again on normal mode instead. How long it take you to be able to do this? very impressive accomplishment right here btw.

Thanks man I appreciate it. It takes a while to learn the mechanics like this, I think it was more about getting comfortable with using no shortcuts first and then applying that to be bosses. Lots of trial and error but it's great when you pull it off 👍

Insane, i got like 100 hours in the game and still found some things where I am like wait whats he doing. That dodge on reno at 7:34 is sick, i never pulled that off. Howd you do that

I think I had it equipped for that fight, but it is not required to do that move. Just a regular dodge roll will do the trick.

Can you please show us your character setup, equipment, armor, accessories, materias, how you set everything. If can even do half what you're doing I'm happy. So good.

Hey man. It's difficult to give you one setup as it changes slightly for every boss. Some are physical fights so you'll need Hardedge, Metal Knuckles etc. Others may be pure magic so Mythril Saber, Mythril Knuckles, EGK cannon. Aerith should always have Mythril Rod. Few general rules to help though: Keep ATB assist on the character you're going to be spamming abilities with to feed the rest of the party ATB. Tifa is good for this but Cloud is fine too. Cycle skill master to keep feeding yourself ATB. Decide which characters will need to use an ability instantly in a fight and give those 2 the first strike materia. Generally keep elemental + enemy weakness on the weapons of Cloud and Tifa. Sometimes Barret may need one instead (eg. Valkyrie fight). All bosses have multiple phases so try to conserve ATB for when the next phase starts if possible. If you feel confident, fury rings are the biggest source of damage increase any character can get but you'll also take more damage so be careful.

that Rufus takedown after defeating Darkstar was CRISPY. trigger the grapple, dodge the punish, a single Braver, and a single limit break. pure cinema tbh

When you face Scorpion Sentinel on your first playthrough on normal difficulty you do maybe a tenth of the damage. That's what I call hard mode

I'm just here seeing the differences of the regular FF7. It's completely different. Maybe I will get it. It's only on PS though, luckily I have a ps4 and an Xbox one. I gotta upgrade though lol I should've done that cyber Monday or black Friday. THAT'S usual the best time if u don't know. 99% of the time.

During his very specific lunge animation you need to roll toward him, if you time it right you'll vault him. He does it intermittently during the fight. Good luck dude 😎

Im clearly under leveled... Im attempting hard mode under lvl 40 and can't kill the scorpion. He almost dies then the healing engages and i can't do enough to kill him off.

In this version of the FF7 continuity... the party members are crazy scary. Like. Geez.

What materia are you using brother to make them get staggered fast?

The materia setup varies from boss to boss. Specifically for staggering, each boss is pressured in different ways. Some by a percentage of damage, some by so much elemental weakness damage, others countering certain abilities. A general rule to follow is always use elemental paired with the boss weakness and do some decent damage quickly. Then use your focused abilities. Blizzara is also extremely good for raising the pressure bar if they are not resistant to ice. Good luck dude.

Yeah understandable. If you can, the best way to experience the game is to do it all your own way dude, if you fail just try again and change a few things that you did. You'll get it eventually. In my first hard playthrough I played it all in order, so I'm not actually sure if you can or not. But I'd recommend doing it chronologically either way, it'll give you chance to level everything and not get annihilated in the last few chapters.

Why is it that in some boss rush videos that some bosses are missing? Like sephi and the bosses after sephi? I know gameplay recording can get blocked but ain’t that usually for when scenes are being played? Would love to see all bosses, arena & battle sim bosses get boss rushed.

Critical hits are all based on luck and each character has a base luck stat that influences that chance. Tifa has the highest luck stat, add the luck up materia to a character to increase it further

Hi dude. Explanation in the vid description! As for the Motorball, I didn't consider it a boss fit for this video as you don't fight it using the normal combat mechanics. Basically the same reason you wouldn't include Roche's bike fight.
