YOU ARE RIGHT. I think I was thinking of the charge 5 in the moment 🤦🏾‍♂️ my apologies to y'all 🙏. My point of wider sound stage and better stereo separation still stands though 😎 I think driver spacing most especially from the tweeters is what's making all the difference 🤷🏾‍♂️

It does but it’s doesn’t sound that good it has like a hissing sound when the highs hit good for outdoor use terrible for indoor regular use

The souncore sounds quite harsh at max volume. The Xtreme 3 it seems more balance at 100% volume. Idk what model of Xtreme3 willington's have. Neither GG or ND versions

It is not possible, in power they are the same but in price it is incomparable, the soundcore costs the same as a jbl charge 5

Ive got soundcore motion boom plus. i watched several reviews first before buying it. as expected motion boom plus is killing. clarity and quality sound. the bass is amazing without xompromising other instruments

Great review I am now considering buying the Motion boom plus. Just correction, Xtreme 3 is not Mono, it's stereo, test the Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen you will here the left and right speakers at works.

Holy crap!! As a JBL fanboy for alot of years, the Extreme series, this has converted me, JBL just got their butt handed to them, in my opinion, sending the Extreme 3 back I just got from Amazon and getting the Motion Boom Plus, at 179 and at the moment, a 30 dollar coupon, so got it for 149, it's a no brainer for me, especially for the money.

I have both of them. The Xtreme 3 is a little clearer but the motion boom is louder and has deeper bass

Xtreme 3 have tighter bass, Motion Boom have deeper bass, mids and highs are better on the Boom because highs are too boosted on Xtreme 3. Both have Custom EQ though

The highs don't sound that good on the Motion Boom Plus in my opinion, but that could also be because of the EQ

You are not wrong. Firmware 0.29 really made the highs even harsher. It's rough! The speaker will get tiring real fast.

Probably i heard different video like you. Not everyone could hear something up to 18khz. Soundcore plays to 40khz

A good comparison would be the new W King d10 it has similar spec and some more extras for even less.

Dang! That’s crazy performance from anker! I ordered a XB43 today and I’m almost regretting it. I’m not sending back the Sony though because I bought it for $100 and that’s a big enough price difference that I’m not jumping up to the anker. Speaker for speaker though anker seems to be in the lead right now. But if I bought another XB43 for another $100 which would only be a $20 difference from the anker the pair of Sony’s would definitely out perform the anker. So I guess when there’s an $80 difference between the 1-XB43 and the Anker it makes sense that the anker is better, but if there’s only a $20 difference between 2-XB43’s and one Anker then I think the true winner for price would be Sony.

Bro please I'm kind of lost with all these loudspeakers and everybody at the stores trying to convince me to buy their speakers. Which speaker has the deepest bass. Maby you can make a review between an expensive portable bluetooth loudspeaker, a middle class one and a low budget loudspeaker. You should go for soundcore. Has deeper bass and so much cheaper than JBL. I have motion boom and Xtreme 3. The motion boom is louder and has more bass. The Xtreme is a little clearer. Motion boom is about the same price as JBL flip 5 which is 2 steps beneath the Xtreme 3.

Nice video but jbl have a equalizer turn of for this test. One more test please with jbl equalizer turn on (jbl equalizer is location in jbl portable app) please video Soundcore Motion Boom Plus vs jbl boombox 2 because Soundcore Motion Boom Plus have 80 watts and boombox 2 too. Thanks

Thanks for the comparison and video! That was expected, I knew and was expecting that Soundcore will be better. But in design and look Xtreme wins and it's pleasant to watch at it, while Soundcore looks like cheap shit and it's disgusting to watch at it.

Soundcore Motion Boom Plus sounds louder/more powerful. And it's not even close. Motion Boom Plus = Giant Killer

I think the soundcore has better bass for sure, but it's to harsh on the frequencies around 4000 hz on the tweeter. For bass, soundcore. For balance, JBL.

Fun fact. If you look closely towards the end of the sound samples, the Motion Boom Plus is further from the mike because I forgot to take off the plastic on the rubber feet and it was very slowly sliding backwards as the sound samples continued, so what you are saying is the complete opposite. I didn't repeat the recording like I usually would because the Motion Boom plus was way louder anyways and it wouldn't make any difference in the outcome.

When listening to xtreme it feels like my ears are locked

@ 60-70 % volume an old motion boom with a bit of eq sound better than those speaker. I mean sound quality, listening fatigue at 60/65 db output that is the standard volume we usually set. Do you always listening at 100%? Motion boom plus have sibilant shh shh cheap tweeters, jbl lacks in clarity. 2 Motion boom classic 80$ sound better expecially if you need output outdoor, 2 speaker are a better solution.

yess! I have two booms in a wide TWS and they are awesome. I thought I was going to upgrade to two boom plus... but the booms seems to have that "HiFier" sound I prefer so far!

lol, that JBL at 100% volume sounds like when you have your speakers wired out of phase! hahahahha

the soundcore is louder and gives more space the jbl is more refined and accurate

😂😂, sorry dude. 4k takes my videos from 2gb files to 9gb files. My current internet situation is not good enough to do it for every video (I live in a very rural area) Maybe when starlink finally comes to my area, every video will be 4k 🤞

To my preference at the 60% volume level the JBL sounded richer and more pleasant to listen to. Unfortunately for soundcore I do notice the complaints about the boom+ being harsh sounding. However at the max volume JBL loosing quite lot of bass. And volume opposed to the boom+ making it sound less full. Than there is the price difference between the two. I reckon at lower listening volumes the JBL wins, however we have the regular boom for such purposes. I you really need something loud and thumping not necessarily as accurate sounding..the boom+ is a great almost wanna have. Yet I do think overall a regular boom is really sufficient nice quality sounding and at a bargain price opposed to the extreme 3. But yeah it's tempting to go for the "in your face" powerful speaker. They just really need to lower that harshness

The SOUNDCORE is a 80 watts speaker, & the JBL is a 50 watt speaker. The only way that you'll get the full 100 watts that JBL claims, is to have it in A/C MODE. ( Plugged into a wall outlet). I read this on the SPEC SHEET, after buying mine. I'll say this, in A/C MODE, it's very loud & sounds really good. You'll want +1 or +2 on bass, & -1 on mid & treble, on the EQ. It's best used only when using the supplied A/C adapter in a wall outlet or an extension cord going to a wall outlet, for optimal sound. The reason why it doesn't have much power in battery or portable mode ( 50 watts) is because of the power configuration: 25 watts ×2 tweeters 25 watts ×2 woofers. It should've been more like 35 & 15. Everyone knows it takes more power to produce mids & highs, as opposed to bass. In battery or portable mode, you're only getting 50 watts. Much better portable options out there for the money. With that being said, it makes a great indoor only speaker.

Just because volume and a bass-up, equalization curve is better in JBL (which was flat in this video)

Motion boom wins 💪

Jbl is more balanced but the bass is embarrassingly weak in comparison. The motion boom plus can be bought for $125 right now and the xtreme 3 is still over 300 dollars. You can't take phone calls on the xtreme but you can on the motion boom plus . You simply get more for your money with the soundcore motion boom plus. But ... the motion boom plus is a bit harsh at higher volume.

I just bought a motion boom plus as my extreme 3 started crackling and distorting on the right channel then cutting out and crackling then going really loud, I opened it and tested the speakers it turns out to be an issue with the motherboard, it is only a year and a half old and used only to listen to music no more than 50% volume, I am very disappointed in JBL and its put me off their products.

This soundcore speaker may be good but the party pair mode it has only works with other motion boom plus speakers, so that means it doesn’t work with its little brother. Which in my opinion makes the JBL brand better. Even tho it’s way more expensive.

RIP xtreme 3. Next…

It should go against jbl boom box 3 ( more than twice the price lol)

@@lukabosnjak3829 If the Vifa Helsinki really blows away the Xtreme 3 then wouldn't it be more popular? The Motion Boom doesn't compete with the Xtreme 3. You can say it sounds good for the price (If you EQ it right) I don't think the average buyer would even bother, especially when you want a good sounding speaker out of the box and not have to waste your time flicking through sliders. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, and the Motion Boom looks and feels like a plastic toy because it is one.

@@evaristocorripio5434 Actually this thing is still louder than the Boom box 2 and has more mid bass than the Boombox 2, while the Boombox 2 has more deep bass. (You can take that from Alan Ross) It's a draw, not anything close to destroy. Although I don't really like the highs of the Soundcore, it does compete with JBL speakers of tripple the price.

That treble is annoying on the MB+, too metallic and nothing natural on it. The Xtreme 3 is no better either in other departments.
