People can be kinda cringe. They see someone lift 500kg, something that really shouldn’t be possible yet people manage it anyways, and instead of thinking “that’s impressive” they think “one man did a different lift, that’s cringe, I should flame them in the comments”. Like, who cares? It’s not as if this video is an official list with important parameters, it’s just a compilation of heavy deadlifts, I’d like to see you lift 500kg if you think it’s so easy

This video is a proof that Sumo IS CHEATING! It is completely different lift, and should never be considered as a deadlift!

Eddie Hall's lift will always be the stand out. he took the record from 462 to 500. before that everyone was adding 1kg to break the previous record and again after Eddie Hall, they are all just adding 1kg to break his record

The fact that they even managed to lift it off the ground is already mindblowing

I really hope Makarov makes it one day, even if it 500 and not the record. It will be really inspiring to see him never give up and succeed.

Eddie Hall’s deadlift is the best of all time, not only did he smash the record by 38 kg, he did it in competition, he broke down the door for everyone else to walk through

Respect to Ivan Makarov for almost deadlifting 505kg, that's not easy feat at all, 4kg more than Thor himself.

Two guys around 105-110kg bodyweight have pulled 500+ sumo and raw compared to two guys both over 200kg bodyweight pulling 500+ conventional with suits.

love how you can see, that almost every failed attempt failed at the same height off the ground that would be locked in sumo :D

Eddie remains the only to achieve in competition.

This is insane. Just the amount of strength required to even move it an inch is crazy. This seems like the limit of human strength in this particular competition.

Sumo or not you can’t deny it takes years of dedication and strength to even get it off the ground

I know nothing about any of this. It just popped up on youtube because algorithm. But I got fuckin chills watching these guys do the impossible through sheer grit and obsessive levels of work and dedication. Humanity is so cool.
