I appreciate now as to why Mr Rangan left the platform of Film Companion. He has a great insight into anything related to films. On that platform, he had to share with others and restrict himself to South Indian, specially Tamil films. He brings out the best from his interview subjects, without asking superficial and controversial questions. I always look forward to his interviews and reviews. The only request to him/Galatta Plus is to add English subtitles to the interviews he does with Tamil film personalities.

The interviewer is so well prepared. The fact that he didn't have any rubbish personal questions and focussed on asking sucha sensible logical questions.

The way Alia answered Baddy’s questions show how far she has come as an actor and how mature she is. Apart from the rubbish talk on the “couch” with a cup of “coffee” I like her as a performer and how she deals with people accordingly.

I wish people understood that KWK is a rubbish talk show for gods sake. Any conversations on that couch is not to be taken seriously. They're there for gossips and jokes so you can't really expect her to give a ted talk there, it's just fun.

10 yrs ago I would not have imagined saying these things : 1. She is so smart and has learnt and grown up so well . Kudos 2. Ranbir would have been written off by now for his recent track record had he not been with / married to Allia right now.

Alia is such a breath of fresh air and you know there's tonnes of instinct and intelligence behind what she does and speaks. Brilliant performer, smart brain making the choices - looking fwd to catching up on Darlings this weekend.

wow this girl is actually insane, her growth is insane. The way she talks about cinema and the art of acting she blew me off. Both the husband and wife can basically start a talk show they're such good speakers.

Growth of Alia in film industry is amazing.. she became a better actor.. became more sensible.. more humble.. more appreciative.. more understanding.. The sky is the limit for her. Great interview as always Baradwaj :)

I think most people don't realise that she had everything in her then that made her who she is today! The fact that she agreed to make fun of herself in "Genius of the year sketch" at that time speaks volumes about her persona. We are the people who jump to conclusions quickly about people and judge them from moments of public appearances! I regret judging her after SOTY but Highway completely changed my perception of Alia. Ever since then I have been a proud fan of hers!

Baddy is the the superstar of the interviewing world. People associate the word genius and legend with Kamal Haasan. For me Baddy is the KH of the film critique/interview world. Cannot believe the amount of preparation he has to put in to get it right with so many interviews happening and so movie reviews. I hope he doesn't get burnt out. Great work Baddy! Thoroughly enjoyed the insights from this discussion. The quality of conversation was top notch, totally surprised me. Full credit to the interviewer BRangan for having brought out an excellent set of questions. His observation about Darlings as a theatrical release was a good one, and unexpected one at that! I agree with him - similar to AndhaDhun even Darlings would have had a slow and steady positive run at the theatres. The questions were soooo good and refreshing! It was a real challenge and Alia answered them all like a celebrity I have never seen before! In all her promotional talks so far, I haven’t seen this deep thinking, smooth talking and insightful side coming out. It has been fluff, frill and frivolousness. Why do people even compare her with Kareena Kapoor😨 She’s her own person, and an intelligent + talented + articulative actor at that. I have seen only Shah Rukh come close to such answers, and even he exaggerates and goes astray quite a bit. Alia’s answers were enriching, fully of brevity. You realize that she can switch persons as a public figure based on the person she’s talking to! What a talent that’s gotten honed. Alia calls herself young in the industry, I would disagree with that. It has been 10 years since her debut film released. She’s an accomplished one-of-a-kind veteran, who hides her terrific mind and ambition under the well planned garb of frivolity, gossip and age. I wonder how many other actors will be able to hold such a fruitful and enriching discussion with BRangan! Time will tell. He truly sets the bar high. Glad you started your own KZread channel💪🏼

Premiering on Netflix Plot of the Movie : Badru played by Alia had married her love Hamza played by Vijay Varma. Hamza is working as a Senior TC. But all love stories don’t glitter, the same happens in this case. Hamza had been drowned in the alcohol & as a result the martial relationship became toxic wherein Hamza use coercive actions against his wife and one fine day how Badru reacts back forms the rest part of the story. Personal View of the Movie: We might have heard of domestic violence against women, here the topic is taken on that subject itself. A topic today which needs to be given a reminder in today’s society wherein on one side where there is extreme support on gender quality but still there is huge section of society where a wife is being called a “DARLING” but how much that word really meant or being expressed is still a big question mark. Parveez Sheikh & Jasmeet K Reen’s screenplay very well designed as there was a moment of thrill as what happens next. At one part where Alia’s character was being pulled down with no chances of getting up but then she just bounced back and gives a hope to the audience especially the female audience “a moment of courage” that when atrocities happen against them a stern action should be taken. Alia’s another stellar performance after Gangubhai Khatiawadi is what want to say. I admire the way she choses the scripts as from the glamour performance to the movies like Raazi, Highway, Dear Zindagi, Gangubhai & now Darlings she just travelled a long way around. Vijay Varma performance was noteworthy as with his performance towards his character made convincible in a way that at one point audience will feel to kill a husband like him & that where an artist calibre be applauded & here, he goes for it Shefali Shah also gave a noteworthy performance. Roshan Mathew screen presence was less but was quite ok enough. Lastly to say, a black comedy film passing a relevant message to the society
