The girl is not a bimbo as some ppl are perceiving her to be, she is actually pretty intelligent and honest.

Yes, she is multi talented but even though being half Tamilian, she has acted only in few Tamil movies,so basically everyone simply knows her as a daughter of a superstar than a multi-talented heroine. So basically we Tamil people are not underestimating her, rather she didn't showcase her full talent to us.

Reason is her Tamil accent and pronunciation which is not promising for tamil audience...Like her father, Shruthi wanted to speak in her own voice in Tamil films..but unfortunately her mother tongue is Gujarathi, because her mother is from that place... but father is Tamil.. because of this her Tamil accent and pronunciation has a different influence.. it often sounds like how North indians settled TN speak Tamil. No matter how talented or beautiful an actress is.. Tamil audience will accept any actress as long as the language, diction and pronunciation is nice to hear. This is why many famous actresses started using dubbing artist in the 1980s.... and it continues even today. Same Shruthi is using dubbing artist in Telugu films and she is more successful there.

Must give it to Shruti.No other actor has been able to articulate the pros and cons of being a star kid so effectively..

Shruti speaking English semma. Very intelligent.Very casual.When she speaks it's just another language. Doesn't imitate English like Priyanka Chopra and other Bollywood biggies and feel 'English is a status'

Priyanka doesn't fake anything.she had a few years of education in America.Thats where she gets the accent from.

Like honestly, how does someone break up with a girl as authentic as this? This has to be one of the most interesting interviews I've ever seen from a Indian movie actor. The way she processed her parent's separation with utmost maturity was something to behold. And the way she discussed her process of maturing into her art, the honesty in itself was commendable and was so engaging to hear. This is honestly inspiring.

I agree. Michael missed out. Shruti is truly vulnerable and did lots of self-discovery. I would like to see Siddharth & Shruti together again and give it another chance. They are quite similar in terms of their understanding their craft of acting, music, and how they look at life. They are different people from who they were a decade ago when they met. It's highly unlikely it will happen but, it's just a small thought.

She is one example of don't judge a book by its cover. I have never liked her before on screen. But her personality has made me like her. So simple, authentic , and genuine. I would love to have a friend like her.

Just adore d way she has build up her independent persona , too confident n know to talk her mind .... she is very real

Some of Shruti 's observations are priceless ...on pain, breakups and milk & cheese. KH is larger than life & an institution by himself, Sarika is no less a powerful actor & comes across as very compassionate & articulate in her Bollywood interviews so it's no surprise to see their progeny evolve into a person with such matured thinking.

I went into this interview only because I have heard Baddy on Let's Talk Movies and he talks sense. I haven't seen any of Shruti's work, so had no expectations. I have to say I am so impressed by Shruti's thought process, articulation, confidence to be herself and her observational humour....loved that bit about expired milk and exquisite cheese. I am definitely going to be looking up her work. Way to go, girl!

Avanga pesurathu normal conversational English - nothing out of the ordinary.

That's what nepotism does...even if you don't know acting....you still can make a lot of money... directors/producers are to be blamed for not able to say "No" to these kids... I like this interview because she admitted things honestly..
