Sorry to say, huge fan of shankar sir, shankar has brought certain moments, stories and nuances in his direction, a simple example is the background, watch carefully in every scene there is huge background artists in most of the frames, and the atmospheric intense capture, another example for that is Indian 1 where he murders the officer in an godown, he creates tense moment of something is about happen, but in recent it's missing, comparatively it's there in I and 2.0 but the soul of the movie is missing.

Shankar peaked in Anniyan. Sivaji was highly dependent on Thalaivar. But Anniyan was next level. My favorite of Shankar sir

True Anniyan was last proper Shankar commercial film. Sivaji was more of a Rajini film with mass , build up , punch dialogues etc with small Shankar touches here & there.

That song in Amsterdam is perhaps one of the most beautiful song in Indian cinema.

I have been seeing some of the recent interviews on this channel. Props to the close-up shots that are interspersed throughout. It looks sharp. Speaking of sharp, appreciate the resolution as well. I can even see the texture of the couch clearly...props to the set director on incorporating such set design. I know these are just technical things. But i genuinely appreciate that they still are displayed strongly, on par with Baddy's sophisticated interviewing style.

Sujatha is the best criticiser. Earlier I thought Sujatha was his backbone in writing . But now after his recent interview points and movie output ,it’s clear Sujatha was his best criticiser thus he had to accept the variations and deviations . Now he has no personal like him at that stature in his mind . So what he thinks is his right and correct from his point of view. And not able to adjust or compromise his flaws .

This flim doesn't need this much budget , first 3 days collection can only save this movie to get decent box office

Badly need a Shankar comeback for Kollywood he is the real game changer

Padam ippo thaan paathuttu varraen. Nalla illa :-( Disappointed. How is Shankar able to convince folks that this movie will work? Very shallow story, multiple bad ppl, no character sticks to mind. Bad writing is all it is. Eg: when Indian thatha kills a bad guy, we can connect only when we have already seen how bad the guy is. Like what manorama goes through in Indian-1 and then when the killing scene happens, it has a strong effect. Here, a random bad guy is killed and only while killing, thatha says what all crimes he committed. Didn't work. Bad music. Not a single song stuck to mind. The ad like song in 1st half is utter waste of time, money and energy. The mixing of comedy while killing - I didn't find it good, I wasn't expecting comedy mixed while murdering. it loses the seriousness. Can somebody please tell Shankar that he should start on movie, AFTER the script and screenplay is solid? May be he is missing Sujatha?? #Ukkara mudila da dei (from a kamal fan). Office leave pottu ponaen ba!

Shankar's last proper masala film was Anniyan. Even Sivaji was more of a Rajini film than a Shankar. His older films like Indian (1996) , Jeans were all top notch entertainers and still fresh.

What I do is trend😂! Pa raniit, mariselvaraj laughing at the corner.. after watching Indian 2 movie I realised Shankar don't even know the root causes.. where as dalit directors tell story with details.. most of his movies are like when the system / society is corrupt, not following rules and regulations- a hero come and destroy the culprits.. Ranjit in Madras climax scene where hero teaching the kids, vetrimaran portraying importance of education in climax scene of Dhanush's asuran movie , hai bhim climax are thought provoking.. Shankar has to learn n understand society at root level.. instead of getting anger for the mistakes in society😂 Brahmins n upper castes who ruled n occupied prominent positions ( like politicians, lawyers, judges, doctors engineers , University Dean n directors, principles ) after independent India are the one who started corruption, looted the wealth of India further .. later every one followed to do corruption.. even at present most prominent positions are still occupied by Brahmins and upper castes only ..such a hard to digest facts will eventually lead him to study the effects of the 'caste system' to India 😅 n realise caste is the root problem of most of the things that hampered development in India😅

Initially I feel Shankar seems very least interested in giving this interview. Later when BR takes the lead, Shankar seem to be interested and again BR is least bothered about this intervies.

How ironic. Hes talking about AI (technology) being just a tool but what matters is the human Ideas behind it. But in all his recent films theres no human emotional depth. just technological facades to cover up absolutely bad writing..

This is the real capacity of Shankar. In past his projects was done with top most technies, his full vision project was succeed only in enthiran, and all of his other projects was full of bad stereo topics about black people's and showing transgender character as volgour. Now these things are exposed and his bad writing is revealed. Out dated fantasy foreign locations and unwanted huge number of people's using in an irrelevant single shot and so on.

He tries to attain Hollywood status for our film, story,casting,cinema, drama,comedy. It is so easy to criticize cos we all know the prequel, yet we can’t think of one storyline from the first part on our own.

Those nuiances added for Kamal were just awful

The fall started from I which was pathetic with some stupid story then came 2.0 which is surprisingly poor and was only lifted by the 3d gimmicks and now Indian 2 is the final nail in the coffin for Shankar . Hey Telugu ppl pls take him from us .

Shankar era Finished way before 14 years 😂😂. Enthiran (2010) that's it. Nanban is a remake in 2012. After that ? 2.0, I and Indian 2 all are great flops 🤦🤦

I loved both 2.0 and I. I think it’s a personal preference. But this Indian 2 is something we all can come to a mutual agreement that it was indeed badly crafted
