Disagree, Baddy doesn't want simple answers, he wants complicated which he thinks intellectual answers. Shankar answered very honestly. When he said how would you make Gentleman now, he just didn't think about it and he thinks there is no point of thinking about it, he really meant it

Like how english make biopic movie director shankar sir should make a biopic of his coloberation with Sujata sir and Balakumar sir explaining the entire process of story creation till finalize collecting all his movies till they were with him it will be very interesting as when he explained I was able to visualize in my imaginary it can be made as webseries as 10 to 20 episodes more detailed with 50 min per episodes just a thought from this discussion it can be titled as 'iruvar'

I don't Shankar is in the age nor the mental space where he could indulge in a conversation about whether the end justifies the means. Kudos to baddy for trying to put that question as diplomatically as possible. But there's no way a battered down, sleepless Shankar, who is focused on being done with promotions is gonna take it all in, process it and have a meaningful discussion about something as philosophical as this.
