It’s weird. He looks so frail and sickly here. Then he seemed to bounce back and looked fine playing shows and in new BAM promos. Then he suddenly passes. Such a shame. Dude was my childhood hero and is the reason I play guitar. Nobody could ever replicate his style and sound exactly like him when trying to cover his songs. RIP to the absolute legend.

He lived fast... Accomplished so much in such a short time! After all his body is mortal.. His music is immortal!

Man seeing one of your idols waste away is hard to watch. Weather it’s from drugs or some health issues I hope he gets some help

I've been a COB fan for 20 years. When I first heard "Follow The Reaper" I was very impressed with Alexi and this masterclass band. Over the years I followed their fate listened to the albums and I was very happy for every information about the new albums. About two years ago I noticed something was wrong with Alexi. Like everyone else today I thought He was crazy about this stupid fashion of being thin/fit. It never crossed my mind that he might be sick :( What a loss. The world has lost a great man, a great composer and a technically perfect guitarist. Rest in Peace Alexi. I'm totally devastated.

I will never forget this guy. Back in the early 2000's after the first 2 years into metal trying all the shitty bands that was popular in the mainstream, cob was one of the first "true metal" bands i started to discover and found how talented a metal musician can be.

Hurts like hell to see him like this, glad to live at the same time he was alive

Super sad to watch his physique and playing being affected by his illness. RIP Alexi. It still doesn’t register that he’s gone to me sometimes.

Everytime I Die ironically breathed sanity and life in me during my rock-bottom times past with emotions I’m so familiar with and so Children of Bodom will always have it’s own place within the depths of my memory.

OMG, a mummy of himself. This is so sad. Unfortunately he didn't get well. This is so common for geniuses. They live fast and bright life, do so much, their organisms wear out quickly and they die young.
