What an iconic picture, alexi standing with one foot on the monitor, his guitar on his thigh, playing pretty hard Riffs while screaming in the mic. Truely a legend

They could easily just decide to *not* play this live because it's one of the hardest songs they have. Respect!

I think the Something Wild all songs on that album and this one are the hardest Bodom songs ever, although their songs are so difficult in general. I think AYDT? is their only easy song.

2:19 is something we humans like to call "OUT OF THIS WORLD". Seriously though, it takes a shit tonne of consentration to sing and pull that melody off. R.I.P. Alexi Laiho

There's a reason they don't play this song live... it's almost physically impossible when you're on tour and drunk.

Ten years later, this is it. These wankers saying that these guitar parts aren't hard have NEVER picked a guitar up. The intro, verse, chorus, fills, solos ... Alexi was classically trained, from a family of musicians. Perhaps at regular speeds, some of his music isn't too complex. However, drunk, sped way up, and live -- nevermind both playing lead and handling vocals.. Alexi Laiho is the goat of singing, guitar playing frontmen. There's no one better who can sing and play what he plays.

All my respect to Alexi and he aws a great songwriter and guitarist, but to be honest almost every live show they played he played all the solos really badly... But I quess he just didnt practise them and also he was always drunk. No hate towards him love the guy but that is just how I feel!

haha he IS a fucking god. Okay he fucked up a few times and didn't play like the studio version. But remember that he is performing a song which most people can't even play in a chair at home- while standing in front of a big audience and having cameras in his face-and sing! It's not always about being super clean. To me this is an outstanding band, song and performance.

One of the hardest songs to play live. Imagine playing the lead parts while singing and solo, and jumping around and that too at higher tempo than the studio version. That's Alexi level!

Takes huge balls to pull this off live.. and they had it...

I just dont really understand how does alexi manage to play solos and sing at the same time..no one match his..skills..great respect for this guy

If you can actually play this whole song sitting home alone in your bedroom, and even nail the video for youtube on you 243th try, then you really are a great guitarist! I mean it, you are! Now try to write 15 similar songs yourself and play one whole show without messing up once, while: 1. Jumping around 2. Doing vocals simultaneously 3. In front of thousands of people 4. Being drunk (additional stupid way of increasing difficulty level) You've got one chance to nail everything! If you do, then you can complain about him messing up :)

Hes drunk. I remember trying to play hangar 18 when I was hammered and couldn't even play the chords at the start.

My favorite song of all time from COB. The last minute is just a mind blowing show of musical talent.

This song is so heavy with the combination of the thrash and neoclassical elements, it has to rank up there with their more difficult ones to play, plus the song is structured like death metal in that every melodic line is different from the last one. It almost feels like you're listening to a whole other song by the time it finishes.

That galloping riff is so powerful, very Iron Maiden-like while being entirely its own thing. I’m sad I got into CoB literally months before Laiho’s passing, but I am happy to have developed an appreciation for this band and the talent it puts out. They are now one of, if not my most favorite of this kind of metal. Such incredible talent!

I think that Alexi should just give half of the lead guitar parts to the rhythm guitarist in the live performances . In this song for example Alexi has to play the main melody while he is singing . And I think Alexi can still play all of his solos and maybe some of the other leads but at least 30 % of the leads through out some songs should be given to whoever they're rhythm guitarist is at the time .

+Connor Deal all the guitar solos on this song are hard to play even for Alexi ! :) and I'm pretty sure Alexi would have recorded all the solos on multiple takes on the album version. Also, part of the reason the solos seem sloppy could be due to the reason that song being played live is faster than on the album. It's easy to mess up a song when played fast ...

Connor Deal it's because until 2011 Alexi was always completely drunk on stage and couldn't play most of his solos. Check out their live in Seoul in 2001 and you'll see he really able to play their songs

agreed, after watching this video my expectations for their lives shows went down the drain... then I saw them in february '12 and their set totally exceeded my expectations, AND they played this song too which was awesome because it was the first time I heard it live. In short two years can change quite a lot about a person and this time it was for the better
