Прекрасное произведение Шостаковича!!Вот как надо писать юным и молодым композиторам с конкурса Разманинова 2022 года , а не всякую галиматью из атональной музыки для зомби или инопланетных существ , прилетевших на НЛО , ЧТОБЫ ПУГАТЬ НАСЕЛЕНИЕ ЗЕМЛИ !!!

Умная, ироничная. Молодец. Во вторых скрипках похож на Шостаковича. Валторнист- не понятно мужчина, или женщина. А контрабас- красавчик.

Всегда забавно наблюдать, как капиталисьический мир пытаетмя освоить советскую музыку. Красота музыки несомненна, но она пренадлежит другим людям. Которых уже нет на свете. Когдато я слышала как это играл молодой Мацуев. А дирежировал Янсонс. И это был последний раз когда музыкальные люди понимали что именно они играют.

Did the maestro really cue her entrance? I think she knows where to start LOL. Shout-out to the bassoonist. I noticed the conductor gave him a full bar of preparation, too. Leaving nothing to chance I guess!

OK. She has a great technique like millions of other young ppl today. And, in the Andante, she can sing it beautifully. But she still has to really fall in love and feel the pain.....and use it in this second movement. Yes, Shostokovich's pain.......

No. Not millions of pianists can play this concerto. And your very pompous evaluation of this young pianists need to fall in love (with Shostakovich or anyone else) completely misses the point of her sensitive performance if not only the whole concerto, but of the 2nd movement in particular. I prefer to recognize superior talent and musical wisdom wherever I find it, be that in a very young musician or one who is more seasoned. THIS performance is wonderful on every level. And a fine recording, too.

My apologies, Tish. “Pompous” was a very poor choice of words. You are certainly welcome to your view of this performance and, I will agree, your perspective/evaluation is as valid (and valuable) as anyone else’s. I do like this young pianist’s style and manner very much, though. To me she brings a breath of fresh in her presentations, much like another young Alexandra and very much UNLIKE several older pianists who dazzle with ultra rapid playing and over-the-top affectations. … If you (or anyone reading this comment) has not heard several other recordings by this young pianist, it’s worth the time to take a look/listen. And again, Tish, I didn’t mean to be disrespectful of your or to be pompous myself. Mea culpa.

It is always like this: what you want to hear you hear, what you dont want to hear you dont hear. As my ears wanted to hear this second piano consert I found Alexandra. Or Alexandra found me. Now we are connected. I dont mind if there are more famous versions of this music, I think there is, but Alexandras version has a special value for me. So @tishhill9561, you dont know at all about the pain.

My wife does not like this, but I love it so much. She is going to get it for her daily massage.
