    I am Scottish. A lot of my sister's friends are Swedish and we did this in a little garden in Glasgow. It was a lot of fun. We drank, ate Swedish foods and danced round a decorated washing line pole.

    @NorthernLight I'm an American from Maryland and I've always felt different from most if not all Americans. It's like their cultural values of extreme pride and consumerism don't align with my values of togetherness, simplicity, and love. I've always felt more soulful than my peers, do you think I would do better in Sweden or another European country? I think I would, but validation would be very helpful.

    @@diron1270 Thank you so much for your kindness 😊 and I am actually African American so I doubt that I have any distant Swedish relatives lol. I definitely feel spiritually related to Swedes though! And it is my dream to leave this country. I am convinced I was born in the wrong one! America is a living hell for people who are in touch with their humanity. Trust me. I've honestly gotten to the point where I would rather live on the streets in a country where the collective consciousness is of purity and kindness, then live among people in a country I cannot identify with.

    Katelyn Roper midsummer, kanelbullensdag!!!(cinnamon buns day), Fettisdagen (it’s also a “fika”), the Swedish national day isn’t very big and then we have a lot more days around Christmas (like advent and the days after Christmas Eve) and Easter but no one really cares about them hahahah. But okey advent is pretty huge, but it’s nothing special.

    One of the happiest weeks of my life was the week of Midsommar I spent in Sweden. My father (who lived in Sweden for a couple years), taught us the song and dance prior to visiting. It was INCREDIBLY fun to join and everyone was so gracious.

    It's actually a British song meant to make fun of the French, "the little frogs". Somehow it became a popular kids song in Sweden and sung at midsummer.

    I saw Alexander Skarsgård at a restaurant close to Vättern here in Sweden a little over a month ago. He was wearing sun glasses indoors on a cloudy day, so it was pretty obvious he didn't want people to greet him and take selfies and stuff.

    Really like the fact that dad and mom of their big family kept a lot of traditions going as well as taught all the kids their native language. Hopefully all children will carry on this type of learning with their children.

    I'm Swedish and although I agree that this sounds absolutely ridiculous it's impossible to be sad or angry when celebrating. I come back to this video every year around midsummer just to appreciate that this small piece of Swedish/Pagan culture that hasn't been erased.
