Condolences to Trebek's family, the Jeopardy family, and his fans worldwide! Alex Trebek is a legendary TV host and humanitarian. His humor, wit, intellect, and charm were just some of his attributes that captivated those watching from TV sets, and from those around him. Most people recognize him from "Jeopardy," but he hosted a large array of game shows prior to that. Alex Trebek will be missed greatly! Hope a worthy successor will follow in his footsteps and be a living tribute to him. Perhaps Ken Jennings?

Dhruv is such a selfless individual and I hope he knows how much we love him for his selfless attitude towards the legend. My mother had Pancreatic cancer. In my mom's case she had a hernia right in front of her stomach. When my mom would lay back you could see her hernia really visible so everytime she went to her dr. with stomach pains they would blame it on the hernia. One day out of the blue my mom called me and asked if I would go to the hospital with her because her dr. was unsure of a test report a couple of days earlier. The next morning we were at the hospital when the test results came back the dr.'s assistant came in she called my mom and my daughter and I into this small room to have a seat. And with all my moms health issues she had Pancreatic cancer stage 4, my daughter ran out of the room crying calling her husband and I sat there while my mom was told there was nothing at that point they could do except to keep her comfortable. Alex is doing good where my mom and my daughter and I were suppose to go showing and going out to eat later my mom was put in the hospital right then , the nurses and drs. kept her so doped up to where she never looked into her children's eyes when we all told her we loved her and when we said she was an awesome mother. It took only 2 weeks after her diagnosis she took her last breath. I wish so many times when that nurse asked her if she was in pain and my mother said just alittle I should have taken her away to our planned shopping and lunch right then but instead she told the dr.'s asst. I trust you and whatever you think I need to do I'll do it I should have at least told her what I felt then but who knew .

Sweetie please don't do this to yourself... You had no way of knowing how long... Drs say things and we trust they know what's best... You did nothing wrong. Please don't beat yourself up for this any more... Your mother loves you & wants you to be happy, not live with regret.. my favorite aunt died of this too..much quicker than we thought she would. She refused chemo because she didn't want to be sicker yet...and her kids were angry she didn't take chemo to try to extend her time...we all make decisions that we second guess, but know that you did nothing wrong....God bless you, I will never know u but I hope u find peace💕

Alex Trebek is like the Fred Rogers of game shows. He, like Fred Rogers transcends the platform he is on and demonstrates what character and goodness are all about. He will become the standard by which everyone else is judged. He is a National Treasure and my prayers go out to him and his family. I wish he was in contact with Dr. Mercola because Mercola is on The Cutting Edge of so many Innovative treatments and would probably be able to give him the best advice possible on the planet while he is going through his treatment. I hope somebody already reached out to Dr. Mercola about him.

For those who do not understand, Dhruv, likely knew the answer, or he did not, but he likely did. However, that part does not matter. He had $2,000 and he gave away $1,995. This means he gave away 99.25% of his accumulated wealth on the show away to prove his love for the game show host Alex Trebek, who announced that he is battling cancer. The irony is that the dollar amount did not matter because Alex had not seen the wager. Alex was moved by the words and the 'heart' or 'love' emoji, "What is, We Love you, Alex!" This is where Alex was moved. The part after, how much he wagered, even cemented Dhruv's gesture. To prove that whatever money I made on this show, I will give away 99.25% away to prove to you Alex, that we, guests and, we the people, love you, Alex trebek.
