This wasn't a sacking. This was a case of the manager not really wanting to be there. Poch's stock is high and there's currently a thin manager market. He probably stands to make more money from a new contract with another team than he would under his current contract.

Same morons who are saying Poch should stay have been complaining saying he should be sacked all season. In all seriousness, Poch must really not have liked the set-up under Boehly. Because he actually low-key did a great job turning around Chelsea from 12th last season on 44 points to 6th on 63 points. People can banter and mock all they want but it’s clear Chelsea have a ton of young talent. Something virtually nobody mentions is they are literally the youngest side in the entire league. Poch must have really not liked the set-up behind the scenes to leave such a young and talented side.

People talk about those last 5 games, but in those last 5 games Pochettino was forced to make the changes he did to that team that was winning because of injuries. If not for the injuries he would not have made them. Madueke has been there all season, but he kept him on the bench. As for the players wanting to take penalties, Pochettino threw Madueke and Jackson under the bus who were following his orders that he explained in two press conferences that the player confident to take the penalty should take it and that Palmer was not the penalty taker. You also have Enzo a world cup midfielder, Caicedo a player all the top teams wanted and Sterling the highest scoring winger in Premier League history if you exclude penalties all bought for these reasons in a fight against the top teams and not being provided a platform to produce what they have shown they are capable of under Pochettino's management. of the last 5 games, 2 were won because of one of these players being brought off the bench to save Pochettino from failing to win and the last game was won because of that same player he had been keeping on the bench in games before who only played because the player Pochettino wanted to play was injured following a concussion. This all sounds like disorganisation to me and a team that has achieved what it has not because of, but despite Pochettino's management and more could have and should have been achieved this season. What would Abramavich have done? Pretty much the same thing this Chelsea management have done. It's the right call. Peace and love

The lads decided to start winning matches on their own because following Pochettino lack of management had they going in circles. @@KJuniorMuzik if there's one thing these owners have shown, it's that they are committed to making this work and build a team that can compete consistently for the next 10 to 20yrs (its evident in how they pursued certain players). Now they are using a scatter gun approach due to the lack of expertise, but they are successful business men and should learn quickly. Chelsea will come good eventually guaranteed.

In this case Boehly is not to blame. There's a reason why Egbali, Stewart and Winstanley are prominently being mentioned in most reports whilst Boehly has remained silent. Boehly recently backed the team and Poch's performance as well as took him out for a personal dinner prior to all of this. Boehly may be the public face but there's too many decision makers behind the scenes and something worrying is clearly brewing. I'm gutted to think that we ousted Poch because of disputes in player sales and wanting to keep our academy players. That's crazy to think that's one aspect a manager should have the ultimate say in. He wasn't asking for more players but fighting to keep the ones that we have. He simply wanted more say in players which is a fair ask. Surely we should all have a say in what resources we have available in our jobs, same applies here. We've just pushed out a manager who was trying to uphold the club's culture. Strangely enough he was the one person who understood what Chelsea is and Roman's vision of having a brimming academy is finally being realised. The club has now embraced Reece James as the undisputed club captain (rightfully or wrongfully), we've put him front and centre of the team yet it was Poch's decision in the first place; now it seems as if it was always destined to be. Fans and pundits alike were pining for Silva or someone more experienced to be captain yet Poch understood the long term vision. He was trying to develop a homegrown/English-oriented captaincy and hierarchy within the squad with James, Chilwell, Gallagher, Colwill and Chalobah being the lynchpins. For years we were mocked for solely having continental players now we're sacking a manager for wanting to establish a fundamentally English core. He's given debuts to Alfie Gilchrist, Michael Golding, Alex Matos, Josh Acheampong and Leo Castledine, in his first season, more than any other previous manager, under arguably the most tumultuous conditions. What makes this all the more disappointing is that previous years under Roman we felt as if every sacking was ultimately in order to course-correct, in this case it seems as if we're just steering ourselves into uncharted waters with many fighting for the wheel. Poch knew the league and now knew his team, whoever we get would need another adjustment period. Plus even then, what guarantees would have that he won't be sacked for a above-average season? The entire team wanted the manager to stay. Even under the great Tuchel, Conte and Mourinho we had players fall out with them, not with Poch. This is the odd occasion in our history where the team had more faith in the manager than the board. If anything the player's opinion should matter most as they are the ones who work with him daily. Players can never truly buy into a manager's tactics now because their opinion is not valued by the higher-ups. Eventually the players will develop their own "player power mentality" since the managers will be an ever revolving door whilst they're the constants. Poch developed into a father figure for this young crop, helping them develop their games. That's what Fergie did all too well. He may not have been the "winning-mentality" manager we needed long term but he was the right coach for right now. The next manager will be likely be stoic and cold because he'll be fighting for his job from day-one, no patience for these young lads, he'll get frustrated and leave, then the cycle continues again. Just gutted.

🤔 This is not how you run a club. Most of the great teams that won trophies had managers who were given time to develop and work on the team’s structure and tactics. This will be Poche’s first proper preseason. Under the circumstances, I think he’s done a wonderful job, and you can see the progress. I’m in absolute shock. When the next manager comes in, the whole process of building team structure and tactics will start all over again. It’s most likely going to have a negative impact, and who knows where they will finish in the table. It’ll be yet another transitional season. I wonder if Todd understands this.

Not convinced and we only got 6th because Man U and Newcastle fell apart. The players should have gelled much sooner than they did and his starting lines up were questionable and he played players out of form, just look at the Arsenal match where he plays the two french dopes especially BADIASHILE and lost 5-0, when they had Silva and Chalobah on the bench. I actually feel they will get the Taylor back, Antonio Conte, he has the ability to use what he has and actually improves players.
