Rahul Deshpande is an Indian Classical Singer.Rahul Deshpande (born 10 October 1979) is an Indian
classical music singer from Pune, India. He is the grandson of #Vasantrao Deshpande. Rahul developed his interest in vocal music by studying the music of Kumar Gandharva. Initially, he sought guidance of Pandit Gangadharbuva Pimpalkhare and Dr.Madhusudhan Patwardhan. He further learnt under the tutelage of Smt. Ushatai Chipalkatti and Pandit Mukul Shivputra. He also learned the tabla from Suresh Samant. His repertoire includes abhang. Rahul has judged Zee Marathi's popular reality TV show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Little Champs" and Zee Yuva’s “Sangeet Samrat parva2”. His work in the re-opening of the musical play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali was appreciated. He was the playback singer for the songs of "Khansaheb Aftab Hussain Bareliwale", played by Sachin Pilgaonkar in the film. The role was played by Rahul himself in the play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali. Also, every year he arranges Vasantotsav in the memory of his grandfather Vasantrao Deshpande.
His film named #Mee Vasantrao in which he acted is a very motivating story of Vasantrao Deshpande. Rahul did playback singing for many marathi films like Balgandharva, Katyar Kaljat Ghusli and many more. He also won the Special Jury Award as Best Singers in Zee Chitr Gaurav 2016.Sudhir Phadke Award for his outstanding achievements at a young age. Rahul Deshpande is one of the Best Male Playback Singers in marathi industry. Also, the legacy of Kumarji's search of including Nirguni Bhajans in the conventional form of music is learned by him. His repertoire includes renditions from classical ragas to khayal, thumri, dadra, natyageet, bhajan, ghazal, and bhaavgeet.

Alabela performance . Rahulji's brief past is Worth sharing here. In his childhood he was carried away by not his grand father pandit Vasantrao Deshpande, but by pandit Kumar Gandharv .Later he picked up the essence of his grand PA also . A CA student before final exam , he was in a dilemma, whether to choose CA or classical music or both as his career. To the great fortune of we music lovers , none other than a literary legend P.L.Deshpande aptly guided and glided him to music alone. He was told to see ample CA nameplates . But a nameplate of a classical singer or Pandit was very rare !
Feeling bad that many chairs were still vacant. Not everyone's cup of tea ❤️
