Rahul Deshpande is an Indian Classical Singer.Rahul Deshpande (born 10 October 1979) is an Indian
classical music singer from Pune, India. He is the grandson of #Vasantrao Deshpande. Rahul developed his interest in vocal music by studying the music of Kumar Gandharva. Initially, he sought guidance of Pandit Gangadharbuva Pimpalkhare and Dr.Madhusudhan Patwardhan. He further learnt under the tutelage of Smt. Ushatai Chipalkatti and Pandit Mukul Shivputra. He also learned the tabla from Suresh Samant. His repertoire includes abhang. Rahul has judged Zee Marathi's popular reality TV show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Little Champs" and Zee Yuva’s “Sangeet Samrat Parva 2”. His work in the re-opening of the musical play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali was appreciated. He was the playback singer for the songs of "Khansaheb Aftab Hussain Bareliwale", played by Sachin Pilgaonkar in the film. The role was played by Rahul himself in the play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali. Also, every year he arranges Vasantotsav in the memory of his grandfather Vasantrao Deshpande.
His film named #MeeVasantrao is a very motivating story of Vasantrao Deshpande. Rahul did playback singing for many marathi films like Balgandharva, Katyar Kaljat Ghusli and many more. He also won the Special Jury Award as Best Singers in Zee Chitr Gaurav 2016.Sudhir Phadke Award for his outstanding achievements at a young age. Rahul Deshpande is one of the Best Male Playback Singers in marathi industry. Also, the legacy of Kumarji's search of including Nirguni Bhajans in the conventional form of music is learned by him. His repertoire includes renditions from classical ragas to khayal, thumri, dadra, natyageet, bhajan, ghazal, and bhaavgeet.

One of the Best Singers in India. It is incorrect to term him just as a Classical Singer. His renditions of Ghazals, Abhang, Semi Classicals,fusions are beyond words. His mastery and control over his chords is astonishing.

👍great sir, you sing with so much patience and enjoy each of the compositions like a child have a chocolate and eats it in small bites to enjoy it for a longer time. He is The Rahul Deshpande, a great classical singer from Maharashtra. And also he is grandson of Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande, the great classical singer of his time. Mind it well, he is not an ordinary young man. He is a legend.
