It was with incredible joy that I went to see - and circulated - what is perhaps an yet unrecognized magnum opus in musical cinema and the joy doubled to see the wonderful representation of your illustrious grandfather who was without doubt a national treasure ( he was quite international but we in India should stand cognizant of our pride and privilege that Vasantraoji chose to manifest...take birth...in India). I couldn't help but comment (though I generally refrain from interacting on social media, mostly due to my paucity of knowledge and thereby paucity of courage to opine) - please keep enriching us the way you do. It hardly matters which school, which "sensibility" is "offended" - you are a Grandmaster in a lineage of Great Grandmasters. Honourable RAHUL DESHPANDE JI I am very greatful towards you for explaining how to learn music and for teaching how to think with in ourselves while learning music which I felt it as a very important advice for me because I love only the HINDUSTANI CLASSICAL MUSIC. I am a unfortunate person who has joined and left learning this vocal music many times even I have the godgift in me to sing raga s. Or copy them as a student for some extent. I left the opportunities of learning because I am sick from my age of 15 and now I am at the age 49 but still I dream of learning raga s by my favourate guruji ( SRI SHIVADEV) AND like to sing songs for myself satisfaction . Please bless me for learning this sangeeth continuesly and permanently. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Rahul you always sing well, but today was something else. I was constantly getting goosebumps. Kudos to the entire team for such a high quality production. The effective way to deal with trolls is to block them. They will not be able to bother you ever again.

Actually मी एक सामान्य व्यक्ती आहे आणि मला classical music मधले काहीही कळत नाही, पण जेव्हा जेव्हा मी तुम्हाला ऐकतो तेव्हा मी एका वेगळ्याच विश्वात जातो. मला असं वाटतं की तुमच्यात काहीतरी एक अद्भूत अशी दैवी ताकत आहे. माझ्याकडे शब्द नाहीत पण, तुम्ही ज्या पद्धतीने अगदी सामंजस्याने, अभ्यासुपणे आणि पूर्ण समर्पित होवून गाता यातून तुमची श्रद्धा, निष्ठा आणि तपस्या दिसून येते. अलिकडच्या काळात आपणासारख्या प्रगल्भ आणि निष्ठावान लोकांची संगत लाभणे तसं खूपच दुर्मिळ आहे परंतु या अश्या technology आणि माध्यमांच्या साहाय्याने आम्ही तुम्हाला ऐकू शकतो हे आमचे भाग्यच म्हणायचं. अतिशयोक्ती नाही परंतु तुम्ही या क्षेत्रामध्ये येवून खरतर आत्ताच्या आणि येणाऱ्या पुढच्या पिढ्यांवर एक उपकारच केला आहे कारण आपणासारख्या फार थोड्या लोकांच्या घेतलेल्या अपार कष्टामुळे आणि त्यागामुळेच आज शास्त्रीय संगीत अजून जिवंत आहे असं मला वाटतं. तुमच्यातील पवित्र श्रद्धेला आणि निष्ठेला शतशः नमन 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dear Rahul, It is so generous of you and we are so privileged that you share your musical thinking so unselfishly. The wealth of your musicality is only surpassed by your generosity. I was pained by the critical comment you asked to. As an erstwhile Punekar I'm certain it must have been a Nagpurkar. In this world we have both small and large minds and must live with both. U r versatile singer. U can sing any song, semi classical, classical, natyageet, thumri,banndish , nirguni bhajan, with very natural way. All these forms of music r there in u. Beautiful rendition. Loved the languorous exploration of the notes of Ahir Bhairav. The harmonium and Tabla sangat are both extremely talented. Especially the tabla playing is very crisp and clear bols. Accentuates the entire presentation that much more. Very nice demonstration of reflecting the mood of the composition through the stringing of the notes; albeit the same raga. Thanks Rahul Ji.
