Too simple can be pretty bland. Too complex is obviously too much work. Water, flour, cheese, butter actually sounds awful without there being like other things like garlic, milk, egg, leavening agent, and salt in some combination.

When I did mine on the grill I cut one slit in the shell. And basted the meat with garlic butter. Cooked in the shell to help it not dry out. Kept adding butter while cooking. The meat was smoky, buttery, and the garlic just knocked it out of the park! I wish I made those biscuits though! Thanks for sharing!

The Navy used to pull out king crab legs whenever the crew was about to get screwed. The culinary team had the ability to so thoroughly overcook them that the spikes were no longer sharp. When they were done with them the crab leg had the texture and flexibility of a garden hose.

I don’t like most seafood, but crab is probably the most tolerable for me. I don’t like the sweetness of it, but it’s really buttery and usually doesn’t taste very fishy. I think most of what I don’t like about it comes from the way it’s prepared. A lot of times I’ve it - it tasted like something really sweet and buttery got rinsed before it was served so you have to get some butter and repair the flavor. It’s probably best with some lemon or other citrusy flavors

The cheddar biscuits looked like the red lobster box since there were herbs in the butter that was not mentioned.

Guga here in Louisiana we like to make a good crab boil and get the water to a rolling boil then kill the fire and throw the king crab in for about 30sec to a minute depending on the amount then quickly cool the water down and let soak for 20-40 mins then serve

You should try pairing it with Thai Seafood sauce (the GREEN one not red), Thai people love it so much that we dip every seafood dishes with it. Sometimes even with the crispy pork!
