His record prior to the Sunderland job was actually quite respectable. Did well at Leeds and Preston. It's a shame that people will look at the Sunderland documentary and just brand him as a terrible manager despite not taking his previous jobs into account.

No blame on Simon Grayson at all. Feel sorry for him leaving a good job he had created off 4 years of hard work. He didn't have a chance with the state our club was in at the time. Impossible job for any manager

Tony Adams thinking he's in Miami Vice.
Tony Adams just got in from burning down a rival's nightclub in Miami......
this guy is a good manager...worked wonders at Leeds on a shoestring budget...championship clubs cud hire worse
Fair play to Grayson, showed no malice as I’m sure a lot of other gaffers would have if given the chance with the position he was in, yes he might of done better but he was facing the near impossible with the job at that time. Deserves respect for what he’s done at the football league level over the years
Greyson and Coleman were top tier for the championship, but the problem of the club, from financial to the the disdain of certain players were crucial to the demotion.
great show on Netflix, really felt for him sold 2 strikers on him in the transfer window then didn't let him buy 1 after that......Horrendous what they did to SG, hope he bounces back as he deserves it, so do the Sunderland supporters, disgraceful operations in the background
The alarm bells for fans rang after about 20 seconds.
Tony Adams getting his TV studios and Studio 54 mixed up. 😂
"we had players there that didn't want to be there" after explicitly telling fans in Autumn 2017 that "all the players here now, want to be here".

@@bracey9591 life isn't about extremes. He didn't have to say "nobody wants to be here" and he certainly didn't have to say "everybody wants to be here". He could have answerred the question a million different ways, but instead he made a point of emphasising that ALL the players wanted to be at the club. Which is particularly insulting since everyone in the room at the time knew he was full of sh*t when he said it.
