This song is a retelling of the story from the first Alan Wake game, delivered in an incredible way to bring new players who may have gone straight to Alan Wake II up to speed. Old Gods of Asgard have released an entire album called Rebirth with music they have made for Remedy's games, I heartily recommend checking it out. Take Control (from Control) and The Poet and the Muse (from the first Alan Wake) are my favorite tracks.

80's metal and goofy Nordic humour probably makes Alan Wake 2 the most Finnish game ever made. Old Gods of Asgard is the alter ego name of Poets of the Fall. A Finnish rock band. OGoF is an in universe band in Remedy Entertainment's game universe, where they have featured in both Alan Wake and Alan Wake 2 as well as Control. Though they also made the end credits song for Max Payne 2. They also used vocalist Marko Saaresto's likeness for a character in the first Max Payne.

That’s so cool, I did think they looked familiar. I’ve heard some of Poets. ❤️ I love what they did here, everything from the metal musical to the jazzy end. So good ❤️

I love it that they wrapped up their 2023 20th anniversary tour with the game awards performance that was perfectly timed with the release of their OGOA album ”Rebirth”. What a way to end the year and the celebration. Great reaction, looking forward to more. I’m always happy to see reaction videos that really appreciate their art and insane skill.

It would be great if you reacted to their live performance at the Game Awards. It's an abridged version of the song where Alan's physical actor (Ilkka Villi) performs while Alan's voice actor (Matthew Porretta) sings. It's quite great.

Lovely reaction! Old Gods of Asgard is great, but so it´s Poets of The Fall. Old Gods are more like 70´s and 80´s cheesy but good metal band and Poets are more... Well, poetic. :) I love the both!

@@ThalesMusicCorner I'm finnish so i got all of it + everybody knows usa things. Remedy haven't ever pushed finnish culture that way, like to your throat. Even i felt uncomfortable with it. Too much is too much.. it supposed to be game for everybody. Audio visual masterpiece but yea...lol
