Al Calpone’s lavish lifestyle had him eating the best food, dressing in designer suits, wearing his trademark fedora, flashing expensive jewellery, and of course smoking the finest cigars.
This flamboyant mobster was deemed to be a celebrity in the eyes of the public. Estimated to be worth $100m at the time, which in todays money is just over $1b.
This would all change though after the infamous St. Valentines Day massacre, where the public would see Al Capone as public enemy Number One. He would eventually end up losing his criminal empire.
