    I just bought some of this to try. I am not a nail tech. I have watched a lot of your videos and I think I can do this. Bought my DOT lamp, it arrived last week. Excited to try this. Still up in the air about the e file, which to purchase, Medicool 20,000 RPM is what I'm leaning toward, as it is capable removing hard gel and acrylic coats. I will only be doing friends and family, not for business. Thanks so much for all the education you provide.

    I really want this just to have on hand. Akzentz is the first enhancement product I tried before starting school. Sadly our course only covered a very small portion of hard gel. I find myself going back to it now that I’ve finished school. I love Akzentz and wouldn’t be against just being a hard gel tech. Even when I was less educated the enhancements lasted very well.

Thank you so much for making this video about Trinity. Getting to understand the viscosity here online was the deciding factor between me trying out this new gel or not. Question: When will leafgel be returning to the online shop? Along with its return, will you be making videos like this for more leafgel products/colors/collections? I was a fan of leafgel before it came to TNH, but it was difficult for me to find english-language videos that contain useful product information and as such I would love to see leafgel featured more on your channel in 2018.

    Hi Liz, I love Trinity all in one for me. I have used it on my friend and she has dry somewhat fanned nails with vertical lines. First set most lifted and fell off. Reapplied. Some chipping at edges but not staying on like the success I have had with mine. Should I try another product on her? Maybe Trinity all in one isn't the right product for her. Is there another line I should be using and possibly pinching the nail for a c curve as she has very little. Sorry to be so long winded. Just thinking not best product for her. thanks so much!

    I have just recently started using my Erica‘s ATA to break through my topcoat so I can soak off quicker. I am thinking this three and one would make a nice thick base coat for my natural nail clients so I can actually file off all the color instead of having them soak every time… I think it will be healthier for their nails. With this be a good product to try? I already have the luck CEO build so I could use that for my clients with soft thin flexible nails. If I apply A layer of Trinity, would I go right in to my color coat and then topcoat with Trinity or a regular top coat

  • @TheNailHub

    @TheNailHub

    6 жыл бұрын

    You would go right to your color coat and then you can top coat with trinity as well. And yes we highly recommend filing off your color and maintaining a protective base layer to avoid the nails from getting overworked. Soaking off gel every two weeks really does seem to cause the nails to get more damaged and thinner over time from the regular scraping and buffing.

    Liz! I have a question! I was speaking to a gel company and I told them I was in between buying their product or Trinity. I explained I wanted a thin gel that was very strong and they basically told me that thin gels will never be as strong as thick gels. I am looking for an all in one gel so that I don’t have 100 jars in my drawer. This company said thin gels are not good for extensions because they don’t have enough strength and that I should be using a very thick gel for the entire nail. I currently use light elegance one step with fibre or builder as the extension and one step on top for the body. Would trinity be good for extensions in the same way? Is it strong for a thin gel? I had never heard of thicker gels being stronger before and it seems like this company wanted me to have every different viscosity and colours because each gel does different things and I am just not into that! I would stick with light elegance but one step is just not thin enough for me. In comparison of Trinity to light elegance one step, would you say they are about the same in strength or would you only recommend Trinity for overlays on natural nails?

  • @rebecaballeza13

    @rebecaballeza13

    2 жыл бұрын

    A little but late bur hope it works for you. Thicker consistency does not equal a higher strength, but they are better to build large extension because you need more time to build, if in this case you use a thin gel it will flow all around. But what you can do if you want thinner viscosity, is warm it, put the jar of gel in another topper with warm water and that's it, and if you want it to be thicker, you cool them like in a fridge a minute or less and that will do the trick.

    Liz, have you tried/ do you have an opinion on Polygel?

  • @TheNailHub

    @TheNailHub

    6 жыл бұрын

    My personal opinion...I hate it. It is the worst of both worlds. I get that it's "easy" for people who are acrylic users in that it allows for the "pat pat" type of application and doesn't run, but I find it to be very gimmicky. You can also make polygel out of any gel by just mixing acrylic powder into it so it's not really an innovation. I have also found that when doing longer nails the polygel will either crack and break off easily (I imagine due to the powdery nature of the mixture which causes brittleness) or some formulas are actually so rubbery that you can almost bend it and mold it after curing! I think manufacturers are trying to find products that are easy for all levels of techs to use because a lot of nail techs have not been educated well enough to use acrylic or gel properly/successfully. So here comes reverse molds, polygel, dip systems, etc to save the day. But in the long term I think it is actually a bad set of training wheels that may never come off and may also make it harder for techs to relearn proper techniques as they advance in their careers. Obv just my 2 cents but I really frown on these "set it and forget it" products. Part of the beauty of our trade is being experts in our mediums and in our fields and I think a lot of these gimmicks are really taking the industry in an unprofessional direction.

    Hey Liz! I know my comment is super late, but I’m new to your page and I must say I’ve been soooo in love with your videos and teaching methods. I heard you say it has a bit of give/flexibility, but as it’s a hard gel would this be okay to build extensions with? Like a full set of long stilettos for example. I know there’s better ways of building nails, but was wondering if it’d be okay to do a full set with Trinity.

  • @TheNailHub

    For long nails I would use something a tad stronger. This gel is great but it doesn't quite have the finished texture I would want for doing long long nails. For that I would use balance for the extension on the form first and enhance for the rest of the nail.

    Nicole Garcia it might be too rigid. I would recommend Luxio Build (which is a soak off builder gel) if they have really weak flexible nails. But you could try it and see. In my experience the more flexible the nail the more flexible of a product you want to use especially if you are just working on top of their natural length. If however you're going to extend and create a completely artificial length and structure then you can use more rigid gels without issue.

    Do you have any recommendations on how to stop the natural nail from separating from the hard gel when doing an overlay? I clean and prime my nails but my natural nails always peel or separate from the hard gel overlay with a day or two from doing my nails. I have very, very thin nails so I usually attribute that as the cause. Any suggestions?

  • @TheNailHub

    @TheNailHub

    6 жыл бұрын

    Sarah Daniels use a more flexible gel. Hard gel doesn't always work well on thin flexible nails as it is a rigid layer sitting on top of something that's constantly bending and flexing. This leads to the natural nail separating. Just like I did in this video cure a layer of gel on a form and see how flexible it is. A more flexible gel (usually more common in soak off formulas) will be better suited to your nail type.

    Jovelette Anderson This isn't a soak off gel. It's hard gel and cannot be removed with acetone. Most 3-in-1 gels usually are hard gel so that's probably why you had issues trying to get it off.

  • @maryward9373

    Katherine Magwene it hurt because she "ripped" them off like a client sometimes does......you will generally soak off the gel or use an e-file to remove (liz has how-to videos for each method), which doesn't hurt at all when done properly. Hi I am bio sculpture trained. I would like to know is akzentz soak off? I have a client who works a lot with water and hand sanitizer so the bio sculpture don't seem to last and lifts with in the first 2 weeks, will changing to akzentz help?

  • @TheNailHub

    @TheNailHub

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi Akzentz has both soak-off and hard gel products. The Options line is similar to bio-sculpture in that it is a potted soak-off gel system. The Pro-Forman (which Trinity is part of) is a hard gel line that cannot be soaked off. To be 100% honest clients who are always working in water have a hard time keeping anything on their nails. I used to work on a dog groomer and her nails would never last longer than 10 days due to the amount of water exposure, soap, and wear and tear. The issue is more with the natural nail under the product. When exposed to lots of water the nail will swell, then when it dries the nail will shrink. This expanding and contracting causes the natural nail to pull away from the product. There are a couple things that can help: 1. the client should use cuticle oil and/or salves constantly. This will fill their nail plate with oil which will prevent the water from causing swelling. 2. The client should wear gloves if possible to protect their nails from water. Bio-sculpture is a very high quality flexible gel so I don't think the issue is with your product. And even though I love Akzentz and want everyone to use it I don't want you to hop over to another product just to experience the same issues.

    All gel has a heat spike. Just depends on how much you use, thinness of the nail, and the lamp you are using. In my experience using it with the Akzentz Hybrid Pro lamp it does have a slight heat spike, but nothing major.
