My ancestors are greeks, thank you to share the beauty of Greece

Since I was a girl I wanted to visit Greece. Oh Greece you didn't disappoint me. I loved my time there so much. The food, the scenery, the sea, the warmth, the beautiful people, the art, the islands, the little villages and the food, haha the food is amazing!

So interesting so see that Greek food is similar to Arabic food. I love Greek food very much. I actually learned Greek because I’m so fascinated by the country, culture and food 🇬🇷

I tend to believe Greek food and Arabic food are just the same Mediterranean food, with local variations. In a simpler way, it's all olive oil food.

It is similar since they were both part of Byzantine Empire. And also part of Hellenistic kingdoms after Alexander before that. And of course relations of Greeks with Egyptians and Phoenicians and Lidyans and Hittites before that. So long time :)

Brilliant photography, the vibrancy of Akis and his love of his homeland came across in the film. Pity I could not understand Greek! Btw Akis is fab on the BBC Ready Steady Cook... I think us Brits would like to adopt him as the nations favourite cook!

I spent a year living just down the road in Alexandriea, beautiful part of the world. These videos are a great way for me to practice my Greek, ευχαριστώ πολύ!

I don't understand half of it, but Greece is a beautiful country and people look very nice

Oooh I did a climb like that about 3 years ago in Colorado. It hurt so bad the next day. 13 miles of mountain trails in 3 hours will kick your butt. It's worth it for the views, though.

For all those people who do not understand greek, go to settings-> click on captions-> select english And voila! you will have english subtitles ヽ( 'ω' )ﾉ its completely fine if you don not understand the language. What matters the most is how much you enjoy watching it ^^ I watch with subtitles on as well!

The Battle of Thermopylae is one example of Greece saving all our asses- but the Greek thinkers, philosophers, scholars, mathematicians, etc., brought much of the reasoning and civilization to Europe ; ) I won't leave out the cuisine, either!

just click "CC" under Settings, you will see English subtitles, it will be available every Tuesday after the original Greek version 2 weeks later. I guess they need time to translate
