Akathisia Stories Episode 4

This episode of Akathisia Stories features Kim Witczak, a leading international drug safety advocate and speaker with more than 25 years of professional experience in advertising and marketing communications. In this podcast, Kim shares the akathisia story of her late husband, Woody-and her subsequent experiences as an "accidental advocate." Woody was prescribed Zoloft for insomnia and had no history of mental illness.
After Woody's death, Kim's advocacy work took her to the nation's capital where she testified before House and Senate panels. Today she serves on the FDA Psychopharmacologic Drug Advisory Committee. In addition, Kim co-founded Woody Matters, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for a stronger FDA and drug safety system. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Physicians Alliance and as an advisor to MISSD. Kim is also an active member of the D.C.-based Patient, Consumer, and Public Health Coalition, ensuring the voice of non-conflicted patients and consumers is represented in FDA-related legislative issues. Most recently, Kim became a founding alliance member of the Know More About Drugs campaign started by Nancy Cartwright (best known for her work as the voice of Bart Simpson).

Excellent video. How wonderful it would have been to have had this knowledge BEFORE our little girl died as a result of this.

It is horrifying, that this has been out for over one year and only 469 views. THAT is disturbing. People would rather watch cat videos while THIS monster is loose. I have akathisia. THIS PISSES ME OFF. How do we get this information OUT THERE????

Talk to people you know. Post videos (short ones) on Facebook. I believe doctors and nurses are not being taught this.
