This is a machine you build for the sheer joy of flight. It has no pretence of being a touring aeroplane but for sheer up there looking down enjoyment it has to be perfect. I appreciate the logic of forward to fly back to land control set up. If it will give you a mph per horse power it's a winner.

Was interested in the Aerolite in 2004 but never got a chance to learn to fly at that time. Now looking into flying again but can only admire the aircraft. They look like a lot of fun. Glad to see they're still being made, even with another company. Thanks for the interview.

Hey, Walt, great to see you doing your favorite thing, reporting on the interesting people In Experimental Aircraft but so sad to see you damaged. I wish you a speedy recovery. I had a Forced Landing myself with the hard Kentucky earth about a year ago in May flying back to my Iowa home from a wonderful Just Aircraft fly-in in Appalachian Georgia . I walked away with only a scratch on my shin and bump on my head when my nose wheel dug into the soybean field and flipped over. But my beloved “Heart’s Desire” Highlander was declared “Totaled” by the insurance company. Two months later I was diagnosed with lymphoma so the past year has been occupied with my recovery and now, after my 5th round of chemotherapy, my tumor is gone, praise God and modern medical science and treatment! Loosing my “perfect airplane” has been hard to get over. I had finally gotten the Rotax 912ULS to run perfectly, the Garmin instrument and communication panel allowed me to fly anywhere, weather permitting, removing the right seat made it a fine, flying camper and I could land it in my pasture on the farm. For the moment I’m sublimating by riding a Honda Shadow motorcycle (like flying, just quicker to hit the ground if things don’t go right) building a Chevy cargo van into a camper (perhaps we’ll visit again at Billy’s in the fall?). Take care, thanks for your great videos, keep on keepin’ on!🤗

Bob, Thank you so much for your comments and the update on what has happened since I last saw you a Bill's Plane Fun Days weekend in 2020. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful Highlander but glad you were not seriously injured in the mishap. You have been through a great deal of trauma recovering from lymphoma and I wish you the best for a full recovery. It is always a pleasure talking with you and would love to see you again in Brasstown if and when you can make it. Thank you again. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Best Regards, Wayne Whitley

Thank you for the great interview. I own one but never knew much about Terry. Only rumors. It was awesome to see and hear the actual inventor in his own words. That said, keep the great content comin. And it IS a great lil ultralight.

I find the plane's aerodynamic is very good and beautiful. But it is only an aircraft for the spring and summer. If it's only raining, you can not pilot it anymore.
