Thank for Sharing your review. It was very helpful. You need a stronger WiFi Router that has more memory/ram and multiple faster processors and a later version with local Wi-Fi channel bonding plus local 5G Wi-Fi for faster speed. Then those OTA Channels should buffer and begin much faster. I've seen other reviews where the OTA channels load much much faster.

Seems similar to 4th gen Tablo. That also takes about 10 seconds to load a channel with a Roku device (takes about half as long on my old iPad).

Can you make a video to update the AirTV2 firmware?

I very recently re-started my SlingTV account to watch the Blue service selection of paid service. I am working on getting the best antenna for local broadcast networks, finding it difficult to obtain connections in the remote/mountains/trees area I live. DTV connection map says that I should be able to get a limited number of stations. I have a 2 story condo, with an attic. I just ordered another indoor antenna. Is it expecting too much for any indoor antenna to work? When I moved the TV connected to the antenna to the 2nd floor deck, I deck a few more stations, but I don't want to watch TV on the outside deck.

Usually, trying a bunch of different indoor antennas does not yield tons of improvement. More often, switching from an indoor to an outdoor antenna gets the best improvement, as your experiment shows. Bottom line, for best results, you would probably need to get an outdoor antenna installed, or put it in your attic. If you don't want to run cable up there, you could use a Tablo or Air TV to broadcast the signal via Wi-Fi throughout your home. More on that: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZG2jtLN6htOogtY.html - Brian

@@disablemycable Thanks for the response Brian! I have previous viewed that video, with interest I might add. An outdoor would need approval from my POA since they maintain the roof. My plan was to order an Air TV to try it out. It's a small home but does have 2 floors of living spaces before reaching the attic. Perhaps the 2 floor where the sliding glass doors leading to the outside may even work with the Air TV. In either case, you gave me enough information to look into and I appreciate that. Thanks again!

@@sfink16 OK, great, best wishes! Note that according to the FCC, you can't be prohibited from mounting a TV antenna on your roof or even a balcony: www.fcc.gov/media/over-air-reception-devices-rule

On my free Sing Account, (not Free stream Sling) it shows I have 10 hours for DVR recordings. If I get an Air 2Tv device and attach to my antenna and connect to my internet, if I schedule to record off the air tv with the free sling TV app, will that directly record to my app, or must I record it to a hard drive and than upload to my app?

The AirTV doesn't record streaming shows; it only records broadcast TV. So the DVR on the app will continue to work the same way as before if you get an AirTV. - Brian

You didn't mention whether it can DVR streaming channel shows

AirTV cannot record streaming channel shows. Tablo Gen 4 can do it, but only the streaming channels it comes with: www.disablemycable.com/blog/tablo-gen-4/
