can you use a g19 slide on a g17 frame, basically would use this with a barrel mounted compensator to fill out the frame.

With the magazine fitment is that you never actually fired the Glocks with the different mags in. The biggest fitment issues are typically with gas router to nozzle seal, and how the knocker impacts the release valve

I recently picked up a KJW G23 - I've been trying to find out which parts are compatible... I found some G19 internals, a CowCow Enhanced Nozzle Set and a CowCow Recoil Spring Guide. Should these work with a G23? I'm new to the sidearm scene, all I know is that G18c parts are for G18c only. Perhaps G17, G19 are compatible with G23? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for watching! I think TM would be the only one i can think of... Comparing my custom glock I made which was a mixture of we/tm parts on mostly WE internals (Internal frame, BBU, Hammer assembly, all WE),the lower, mag release, recoil spring were guarder and the inner/outer barrel and slide were TM. it can work with some serious modification. Its risky too because if not done right you can lose your investment as the slide/outer barrel combo can run about 100 dollars like it did for mine when i bought it in 2014. I got it from ehobbyasia.com but i feel like they dont sell anything we glock related anymore.

@rfc25 basically all the g17 mags, g34/35 are the same with the g18c and will work with it fine. It’s the small Glocks that will not work with the g18c platform, they will be too short and will not lock in place when Inserted. When you say smaller, are you talking about smaller than the oem g18c mag? If so, that’s the smallest it was take is the one it comes with or any of the ones that I listed above that would fit.

That one is a little on the rarer side to find these days. This brand discontinued the g42 so really its probably going to be a private seller at this point, if anyone sells it that is .

i have a few questions for compatibility between the airsoft pistols and the real steel parts. i picked up a EF glock 19x and EF glock 18c. i was wondering if certain parts from the real steel stuff will fit on the airsoft stuff. we all know sights work. i believe with Elite Force they are 1 to 1 replica in size so they should work with real steel holsters. i know the internals won’t work but will something like the mag release, mag base plate, grip plug, slide cover or even a mag well will fit the airsoft versions? Now questions regarding EF glock 17 gen3 and EF glock 18c gen3. Will barrels from g17 fit the g18c? looking to put a threaded barrel for g18c so i can put a tracer on it. would like to test the auto in tracer mode.

So for the real steel question, I am not sure there. I usually to tend to keep my real steel and my airsoft separate since fitment I here is a hit or miss. I would recommend to look at some online forums regarding the holsters. For your next question, if you are talking outer barrels, it should work. I have done this with WE since the outer barrels are identical width and length as I image the EF glocks are as well.

@sdvsviet I’ve used airsoft mostly for the ‘force on force’ training you simply can’t get as a civilian.. As for compatibility between certain real gun part’s vs airsoft part’s.. I can just mention a few thing’s that I’ve messed with.. there are A LOT of real steel add-on’s/upgrades that you can modify to fit in the airsoft counterpart.. For example, like you mentioned, the iron sights do work.. a few other thing’s like grip plug, and (most magwells, with the exception of the Magpul one, real steel polymer magwells, you can modify to fit the airsoft version) but most metal magwells won’t just drop-in.. the plug that’s on most magwell’s for real steel are too big to fit the airsoft version. Another real steel part that can fit on 99% of the airsoft counterparts is the mag release.. (just make sure to use the same real steel Gen in correspondence w/ the airsoft Gen counterpart). Same goes for some guide rod’s, like if you wanted to run one of those guide rod’s that have a red/green laser that emits from it, some do work, some don’t.. (again, make sure to get the same real steel Gen in correspondence with the Airsoft Gen counterpart).. 1 thing I know that does not fit, and I know this because I love to run all sorts of different kinds of magazine base extension’s.. (both in real steel and airsoft) If you try to put a real steel extended basepad/baseplate on the airsoft one, it won’t fit.. the basepad is too big, so the only way is to somehow modify the mag? I’ve tried, but no luck.. Since I have both of a lot of the same counterpart’s in both real steel and airsoft, (not just Glock’s, but other pistol’s, SMG’s & Rifle’s) so say you ended up finding some real steel slide set for dirt cheap.. anyone that knows anything about Airsoft Glock’s, (more specifically TM & WE Glock’s), when you buy a brand new airsoft version slide set (full slide/outer barrel) even those aren’t what you call “drop-in ready”, those slide kit’s, you have to take sandpaper/files not only to the new slide, but you also have to fit the slide to the frame.) So regarding a real steel slide, if you did all the sanding and fitting, you’ll get it to fit, you might even get it to cycle with a strong enough guide rod spring.. but because the slide is so heavy, your putting a huge amount of strain onto your internals, and will definitely shear off your sears.. pretty much the same thing with the outer barrel. Although, I have seen it done, BUT the person that did it, had a TON of relief cuts in the outer barrel to make it WAY lighter.. As for trying to use a G17 airsoft barrel with a G18c airsoft gun.. just buy a threaded G18c barrel.. Hope this helped.

@sdsviet Also, real steel holster’s for the most part do fit the airsoft counterpart’s.. especially the licensed Umarex Glocks.. I mean I would just recommend custom kydex.. you can get a full kydex setup (main holster w/ mounting hardware & 2 Glock mag holster’s for around $50-$60 tops..) I wouldn’t pay anymore than that.. (unless it’s a light bearing holster, and/or has some sort of retention device).

I have versions of all 3 airsoft but haven’t tried RS sights… and they aren’t all interchangeable between brands. I’d rather not just guess since it’s usually $90-150 for good sights. What about a g17 gen 3. Thats a gen 4. Gen 3 glock 17 ef mags ate impossible to find

idk if its just me but my EF g17 gen 5 mags will NOT work with any TM/WE/EMG glocks they will cycle and fit fine but when fired they will just blow gas everywhere

or get just ejected😆 i have 3 ark17s and i use vfc mags just because i can fit the real steel emp +5 extensions(wich tm/we dont fit) and that for looks...lol. the tm/we with changed router function very nice on the other hand.

So if I was to buy a G17 and a G18c slide and a G18c hammer assembly it should work right?

Technically yes, the g18 hammer assembly is going to be the same measurements as the g17 hammer assembly because the lowers are the same size. This is theoretical though and quite frankly, probably just cheaper to buy a we g18c as a whole and save the headache. Thanks for watching!

Great question, never owned a TM but I imagine that maybe with modification it may work. I have only owned parts of a Tm that intermixed with we and I had to do a lot of Heavy modifications for it to work and even then, I was not super satisfied with performance.

Dang it all I wanna know is if the Elite Force G18c mag works in the Elite Force G19????????????????????

Oh yeah, glocks are great! EF glocks are probably the easiest to acquire if you are looking to avoid international shipping and live in the states.

Probably would say to stick with gen 5 barrels for your gen 5 as I am not sure on the dimensions.

@@Haven_games I think so since G19x's barrel and slide are the same as the G19. It's a G19 that's on a G17's lower, I think the G19 barrel should fit.

It should because the frames are all the same when it comes to g17/18. Obviously the hammer assemblies differs from each other on those models.
