@@yomommabanger I pray they grow to live and appreciate you. My husband and is have been married 14 years. My(Our)oldest was 7 when we married. He’s almost 22 now. My(Our)middle child was 2 months old and she’s 15 now. We also have a 12 year old girl as well. To be honest, my oldest resented my husband because he wanted me with his dad. His dad(also my middle child’s bio father)was not good for us though. He was on drugs and would not work or provide at all! So, I had some guilt and I overcompensated in other ways and it messed my son up. I wouldn’t allow my husband to discipline him and I got between them in that way. I should’ve let my husband discipline him because I sure let him be a dad to him in every other way! If he was good enough to pay for every single thing, he should’ve been good enough to be allowed to make him mind. Anyway, I messed up and it caused them to have issues. I don’t know if my son will ever fully respect my husband the way he should and it’s my fault. As far as my daughter goes, she was so little when we married and he is her dad completely! They have a very close bond and I love that. He’s been the best thing to ever happen to me. He has raised my kids as his own and never ever made any comments(like step parents sometimes do)when we went through rough patches. My kids were his in his mind from the start and he’s always remained committed to them no matter what. It takes a very special man to do what he and you have done. As their stepdad, you will have to make sacrifices for them just as you would your own. There may be difficult times, as there is with many families through teen years but those hard times with pass. As they mature, they will look back and admire, respect and love you for all you did for them as their dad.

I remember seeing my family at Graduation from Basic Training. The 1st time anybody in my family said, "I love you" to me was when I was at the local airport waiting for an airplane to take me to Basic. I didn't know what I was supposed to say or do. The only other times I heard those words spoken in our house was when my mama was coddling my baby brother. She told me and my older sister, a number of times, that she never wanted a girl, just a boy. And, that was the way she raised us...in the knowledge that nobody wanted us or loved us.

I was a single mother of three, my youngest a Marine. When he left to the bootcamp in South Carolina, I knew I had three months to save money and make it to his graduation. I worked day and night in Florida doing Uber, 12 long hours a day, I made it and not just only that, I made it posible for his dad to (he’s in Connecticut and a Vietnam vet) my other son didn’t have $ to go either, and it was important for me that also my aunt was there . I rented a full house, paid my tickets, my aunts tickets, even my oldest son best friend went (another Marine) my Marine though no one was going to be there for him, until we got there by surprise for the family day. @@kuningatar well for anyone who knows how it feels on a personal level, im very proud of you. Those words are super simple, but for some they carry great meaning. I know, well knew, some people who didn't make it as far as I did in life. Had a friend pass away a few years ago. His name was Kaleb Barton, he was on the news and everything bc of how young he was. But he was on of my best friends. And then a couple years ago, 2019 to be exact, was a really bad year for me. There was this girl, won't get into it too much but she was leading me on for 2 months and then went back to her ex after saying that she wouldn't do anything to hurt me, like going back to her ex. Her exact words. That happened April 27. Sad I remember the day. And then Sept 1 2019, my real best friend passed away, my grandma. Since that year I have been depressed. When I had my graduation ceremony, my parents & Family were stuck in Mexico,so only my Friends parents (me and friend joined The Marines) told me how proud they were of me and told me I was like their son. Only one single tear I shed. When their son passed (K.I.A) They hugged me so tight that at the Funeral, I felt like his spirit entered my body so that I could hug them for him. I remember when I graduated BMT in 2015 none of my family came to my graduation so one of my fellow wingman’s family tapped me out to go with them though I had like 5 others who wanted me to go with them as well. So I did and we went to the Alamo, river walk etc. they let me in their family group photos and everything. I can’t imagine how it feels to actually have your family there! ❤️ that’s nice.

I felt this man ❤️ My mom came to my apartment after I had been distant because of my own problems, all it took was her asking if I was okay for me to break down in tears and give her a big ol hug. I hadn’t cried in years up until that point and I gotta admit it feels good to let it out once in a while
I love how it was the mom he tapped out at first❤❤
