Aircon Trunking, False Ceilings, and Paint! | Renovation Vlog #3

The renovation of our 4-room HDB resale is progressing well! We find aircon trunking unsightly and made the decision to box up and conceal all of the aircon trunking. Overall, we're very happy with how it looks! We also added a false ceiling to most parts of our home as we really like recessed lighting. Paintworks were also done and our home looks so much brighter now! We're looking forward to how our doors look like after paint 🤩

Is it possible to leave the aircon drainage pipe outside of the house without routing it back? Let the water drain outside

  • @LivingwithSun

I think it's ok if you have a drain outside where the water can go. If there's no drain and you have neighbors downstairs then you might not want to do that. Depending on the humidity, a lot of water can come out of the Aircon drainage pipe.

Hi, may i ask how do you get the installer to drill hole for drainage pipe from ac ledge to inside shower area? I asked my installer whether he can do it, but he said if he damage the hidden pipes inside he will not be hold responsible. Do your installer said similar things? Is it a risk worth taking?

Our AC installer were there while our plumbers were there so our plumbers help to advise where it is safe to drill and reduce the risk.

Use casement air con to avoid trunking for power cables and refrigerant pipes.
