Sirens blare In Kyiv and around Ukraine as Putin announces a military operation.
VLADIMIR Putin has declared WAR on Ukraine and unleashed his terrifying arsenal with a full scale assault on the country - plunging Europe into a bloody new crisis.
The tyrant declared a “special military operation” in Ukraine with a dawn raid after months of amassing his forces on the border and brazenly lying to the world about his plans to invade.
The world is waking up to what could the most horrific crisis since World War 2 as Putin seeks to tear down the world order.
His full scale invasion of Ukraine is all part of his deluded plan to rebuild the Soviet Union amid his paranoid fears over Nato.
Ukrainians faced the sound of booming explosions and blaring air raid sirens as missiles, airstrikes and artillery shells fell on their homeland.
Putin took to Russian airwaves at 5.50am Moscow time to order an aerial blitz in the first stage of his attack.
Moments later powerful explosions were reported and armoured columns were spotted moving towards the border.
Russia has some 200,000 soldiers ready to move in - encircling the north, south and east of Ukraine.
Hundreds are already feared to have been killed or wounded in a conflict that could kill tens of thousands and displace millions.

Was 13 years old when it happened to me. U cant even imagine the feeling of disbelief and pure horror. And after the sound came the bombs. I have a son now who is ten years old. I want him to have u future. How can people be so stupid and want a war 😢.

I live five miles away from a gas processing plant. I often hear sirens whenever there's a venting or mechanical problem - an explosion caused by propane or hydrogen is a frightening thing indeed and they have to evacuate workers quickly in case there's a blast.

Imagine hearing that during your child years. Well I don’t have to imagine
Where I live (Long Island NY). Our volunteer fire departments use air raid sirens whenever someone calls to report an emergency. The siren alerts the firefighters to get to the fire station as quickly as possible to get to where the emergency is taking place. The sirens go off multiple times a day. I’m so used to it because I’ve lived on Long Island for 15 years. I can’t imagine what it’s like to hear an air raid siren when an aerial attack is incoming.
