Air-Ground Sensor Failure in Kabul - Part 1
This video shows a possible scenario in case an air-ground sensor failure occurs during the takeoff in Kabul. Please, read the notes bellow:
Have in mind that just because the landing gear lever does not move to the UP position, it does NOT mean it is an air-ground sensor failure. Some indications may give to the pilots the HINT that the air-ground sensor has failed and they may help the pilots to anticipate some actions. They are:
1) The CDU will NOT change from TAKEOFF REF page to CLB page after the liftoff;
2) The speed tape will NOT display the stick shaker (red) and the minimum maneuver speed (yellow) on the speed tape after the liftoff;
3) If armed, LNAV and VNAV will not engage automatically after takeoff and they will remain unavailable during the flight;
4) AUTOTHROTTLE will remain in THR HLD after takeoff and will remain unavailable during the flight;
5) The outflow valve will NOT move with the pressurisation in AUTO mode and the aircraft will not pressurise properly;
ATTENTION: whatever is the reason for the landing gear lever to not move to the UP position, do NOT pull the LANDING GEAR override trigger, unless directed by the NNC. When the workload permits, ALWAYS ask for the non-normal checklist.

Fantastic effort on your part to set up the PMDG and record these scenarios. Many thanks, captain.

Valeu Jonatas! Grande abraço!
Muito bom !!!!!
Very interesting...the absence of barbers pole on speedtape and correct AT FMA annunciation(should be ARM by 800' not THR HLD) are giveaway clues that its air/gnd and NOT ground spoiler valve problem...and that they're not going anywhere but back to origin asap.If it was gnd spoiler valve then the option to continue remains providing speedbrakes are not used.Although return is preferable,you could continue flight if immediate return was tricky/impossible.Also you can silence that horn by re-selecting flaps 1...that way you can locate the cb in calm.
Fantastik thank you...

Thank you very much
AG SENSOR FAILURE does necessarily require to follow an EOP over KBL City when an SID can be safely flown PRESSURIZATION in MAN MODE/ control.

I think you meant "does not necessarily require", what I do agree.
Good video!!!👌🏻😎 what flight simulator is?!

This video was made with FSX combined with the B737 PMDG.
Very nice .....one thing ....why did we climb to 10000 ?

Sorry for the late reply. I've been very busy... Climbing to 10,000 is just to avoid using the oxygen masks. Because of the air-ground sensor failure the aircraft does not pressurize. Some pilots may prefer to diret the F/O to switch the pressurization mode to MAN e control the pressurization manually.

@@boeing737pro3 many many thanks for your reply sir.... if oxygen mask avoidance is the issue we could hold 3000ft at complete the check list ?

@@ashrafulhoque5627 , the problem is that in KBL, the airport elevation is approximately 6,000 feet and it is surround by mountains. Not the best place to have a pressurization related problem.
