Air boating the Everglades for bass and oscars

Stepson Rich and I visit my airboat camp and fish for Bass and Oscars in a nearby canal. Water is high so the fish are less concentrated but they are still bitting! We finally have the engine running perfectly after super small little Beatles ( Camphor Shoot Borers),had drilled hundreds of small pinholes in the gas lines, causing the engine to suck air and not run full throttle! I talked to dozens of top mechanics and only one had ever heard of the problem.

We like to got on the canals along 27 to fish for the Oscars and Mayans with ultra lite gear. Always a blast with the kids.

I've been to the everglades 4 years ago to hunt snakeheads, they are an invasive and Florida was giving people $2 a snakehead if we bought it in. The past week we probably made about $1000. That's how much snake heads are in the everglades, and hey it was free money.
Anybody notice the sign beside the dock? It said no inmates beyond this point

I grew up bass fishing in the Everglades near Tamiami Trail. Used to be the only direct route to Naples and Fort Meyers until Alligator Alley opened. Used to be great bass fishing in those canals along the Tamiami. I caught a baby gator once on a purple plastic worm. The way it fought, I thought I hooked a big bass. 🎣👍🏼😎
