Omg.. Placido Domingo is 64 years old right here utterly amazing and Agnes Baltsa is 61 that is also utterly amazing..

Agnes Baltsa is a vocal phenomenon. At the age she was then, her voice was still in incredible shape. Same sound, no diminishing of the power and strength, and vibrato hadn't widened at all. She said in an interview that she always knew from the beginning of her career that she was a dramatic Mezzo but she wanted to have a long healthy vocal career so since she also loved and could sing the lighter and agile repertoire like Rossini she started with that and continued with it as she would work in the dramatic mezzo repertoire but only sing it live occasionally. Thank god she made studio recordings of some of the great dramatic mezzo roles as well as included arias of this repertoire in her recital albums. Here is proof that she definitely knew what she was doing!

I think this was is beginning as a baritone Grande Maestro!! Bravissimo!!!

Nope, he still sang as tenor back then.

Gracias Yoland, 03-21may25, he visto este dueto en otro subido de hace un rato, pero este fragmento es poquito diferente, y es un poco mejor. El gran tenor y la diva mezzo, ambos todavia cantando tan maravillosamente. Mil gracias como siempre. Paz.

que pena escuchar a domingo en semejantes condiciones vocales, sin poder llegar a los extremos de la partitura. Lo único que conserva es el timbre de tenor

Pero la interpretación y la pasión es de 10, ya con las 3 primeras notas se come en timbre a cualquier tenor de su generación, y aquí tenía 64 años...
