Also, Dave's movie will be the culmination of the mandoverse, where I hope we see Han Luke and Leia, deepfaked and AI voiced, as well as Mara Jade and Talon Karde. And maybe it'll be called heir to the empire... or something close to that, but if course Dave's version. Shin and Baylan look so cool btw, and really hope Lars Mikkelsen plays Thrawn, his voice was so good in Rebels, and wonder if he has all red eyes, or pupils like in Rebels, his voice and look was made less creepy in Rebels for kids, but in live action he could have a really scary voice and look if they wanted to do that. Also, that first shot of Sabine from the side could be a teaser of what Mara Jade will, not would, look like in live action, don't know about casting, but I trust Dave.

Rey Stevenson's character has a different name in the sub titles but is probably based on Jorrus C'Boath from the original Heir to The Empire from the Legends continuity. Filoni has been adapting quite a bit of material from Legends.

I think Filoni is directing the first and last episode and then Steph Green (Book of Boa Fett), Peter Ramsey (Into the Spiderverse), Jennifer Getzinger (Daredevil, Jessica Jones), Getta Patel (House of the Dragon) and then Rick Famuyiwa (Mando, obv) is directing the other 2. That's a solid lineup

Joruus C’Baoth was the first thought I had when I saw the older dude with the lightsaber. I could see them going that way, but I could see them going a different route.

Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla already look so incredible in live-action. Also, I was quite surprised that Huyang from TCW is appearing in this.

That "Better Than Ezra" joke was pretty "Good," and this trailer left me "Desperately Wanting" the show to hurry up and start airing already!

They were talked about after the trailer. Nothing more has been said about them but fans assume Baylan is a survivor of order 66 and isn’t a sith or call himself a dark Jedi.

There is so much to be hyped about in that trailer, but I feel like no one is talking about the return of the droid Huyang voiced by David Tennant!

The hologram Sabine was looking at was Ezra!

The two new characters are most likely dark jedi, similar to Taron Malicos from fallen order. They are adding the Jorus C'baoth element/twist from Heir to the Empire into this series and I love it! Good to see rebels crew in live action and even Professor Huyang from clone wars. I'm so excited for August.

It’s like someone asked Filoni “hey, why do you love Ahsoka? What does she do?” And he made this trailer.

Was literally waiting for this lol. I know y'all gonna love this

FYI they spent half the day at Celebration in London interviewing the extensive cast of The Acolyte which someone described as Kill Bill meets Frozen... certainly fascinated to see this now And you'll be pleased to know that during the Andor session with Tony Gilroy and Diego Luna on stage the whole room ended up chanting "One way out!"... Doesn't get any better than that

Heir to the Empire trilogy and Brian Daley's Han Solo Adventures are my top two Legends books and hearing Ahsoka say the former gave me goosebumps. After existing in the universe for like 30 years, I'm so excited to see Thrawn in live action!

I never thought they would bring in elements from Heir to the Empire after Disney decanonized everything. I was a kid in the 90s and remember those books and had always hoped they would bring in Thrawn. So this trailer made my jaw drop.

just watched again on disney + in full size. at the end there is a micro second snippet of Sabine looking at a small hologram of someone that looked suspiciously like Ezra.

As a fan of Rebels, this trailer made me make noises I didn't know I could make

I was at the Ahsoka panel at Celebration and we got extra footage and I cannot tell you how excited I am for this

Adam's face of "I don't sleep, I need answers" speaks to me 😂😂😂 cuz same man. August can't come soon enough

I love how us peaches first thought when we see a new trailer is: "oooh! Can't wait to see Adam and Jay's reaction to this!" Then during and after watching the trailer we think: "OH!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ADAM AND JAY'S REACTION TO THIS!!"

As soon as I heard "Heir to the Empire" my first thought was, Adam's finds lose his mind.

The ones with the orange lightsabers are Baylon and his apprentice Shin. They will be the equivalent of Joruus C'Baoth in my opinion. So they will be dark Jedi who will be Thrawn's allies. It's worth noting that Ezra's old message appears for a moment. It seems to me that Barriss Offee will definitely appear here. We don't have a confirmed death, and Filoni said he had plans for her. Will Ezra be a villain? In my opinion, not necessarily. Surely his fighting style must have changed due to the loss of his lightsaber. But he wasn't engrossed in the dark side. What is already possible is a few seasons for Ahoska. There was such information, but it has not been confirmed at the moment, so you have to wait.

I am not saying I'm right, but I am pretty sure Ahsoka and that man were fighting in the world between worlds, look at the background and also the logo of the show is very much like the world between worlds. I CANNOT wait for this show.

Look a bit closer around them. That appears to be archaeology equipment similar to what we saw at the Jedi Temple in "Rebels". I'm not sure whether they're actually in TWBW, but if not then quite probably they're in the temple and next to the entrance of TWBW.

I just about lost my mind watching this trailer, no doubt going to watch this 100 times to catch everything! Can’t believe we’re getting live action Ghost crew, Thrawn, Ahsoka and David Tennants droid Huyang. Don’t think I’ve ever been this emotional over a trailer before, its an affirmation to all of us fans who loved clone wars and rebels for 15 years that it was worth the wait to finally see these characters in live action. This trailer reminded me what it felt like as a small kid watching Star Wars and I can’t believe this is happening, I am so happy!

Evil Santa and his apprentice are Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati and the actor that plays Thrawn is Lars Mikkelsen.

"Blood orange saber": best description I've seen of it so far. Regarding Ezra: his claim to fame is for outwitting Thrawn, however, I really think the greatest importance of Ezra to date is that he twice denied Darth Sidious access to the World Between Worlds. Had he not, everything considered "Star Wars" would be all over. If, as it seems, we've come across another Jedi temple and another access point to the World Between Worlds, then I can't think of a better place to discover Ezra, again seeking to guard access to the most dangerous place in Star Wars.

A few points of interest: We see a clear inspiration and homage to the original book series by Timothy Zahn, the so-called Thrawn trilogy from legends. In the trailer, Ahsoka even says the name of the first book, Heir of the Empire. Orange lightsabers are unprofessionally homemade, unstable, similar to Kylo Ren's. This is a reference to the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series, where the dark Jedi cult had such swords. From this series, we could already see Dark Troopers used in The Mandalorian. Filoni is a big fan of Legends and uses the best of them in the canon. Dark Jedi - not inquisitors, there are speculations in the trailer that it will be Jorus C'Baoth and Mara Jade. We see Ezra for the first time on the hologram. Hera is the wife of Ewan McGregor :)

When rebels first came out back in 2014, I was the perfect demographic for it. I was 8 years old and liked Star Wars. From the moment I watched the first episode I fell in love with the characters. I used to dream of seeing them in live action. Now, 9 years later, age 17, I cried watching that trailer. I cannot wait

I'm 100% positive Thrawn is being played by Lars Mikkelson now. That profile from the back looks exactly like him.

If you haven't read the legends thrawn trilogy, you definitely should. I just read it at the end of last year. It's the sequel trilogy we should have gotten. So good!

The male actor with sith lightsaber is Ray Stevenson. He was in Thor as Volstagg, Frank Castle in Punisher War Zone, Edward Teach/Blackbeard in Black Sails, Gar Saxon voice in Star Wars Rebels, and many other things.

I saw the trailer a couple hours before this video dropped and I got choked up thinking about how happy I knew it was going to make Adam. This show is going to slap SO HARD! And it comes out around my birthday!

I can't wait to see the Chimera. Loved both of the new Thrawn trilogies and want to see my favorite crew members.

What Orange Lightsabers Meant In Star Wars Legends. In Legends, orange lightsabers were most often wielded by Force-sensitives who identified as Gray Jedi. Rather than the Knights of the traditional Jedi Order, Gray Jedi had a foot in both sides of the Force and hadn't committed fully to either the light or the dark.

I liked ahsoka from the start. she was pretty relatable at that age and younger.

This reminds me of something I think Jay said in I think in the Mando S2 reactions: It’s nice to feel excited for Star Wars again.

I absolutely love the orange sabers. All the times this franchise has just dropped the opportunity to do simple Dramatic character design by just letting the colors of the blades expand beyond Red, Green, and Blue. It’s just such an effective way to catch the eye and evoke personality of the wielder. I also think they could have given Leia Yellow blade.

Just thought of Leia utilizing her Force powers, let alone wielding a saber (of her own design) is enough to give me goosebumps. Would be super cool to have a very brief montage of Luke training her in the ways of the Force.

Did you guys know that they announced at celebration that Dave Filoni is making a live action movie set in this time frame? I think it may be the first in a trilogy adapting Heir of the Empire storyline. But I also maybe mistaken but all the story sounds like it is pointing to that.

Thrawns air was the woman Ahoska fought back in season 2 of the Mandalorian

Worth noting that it was also announced that Filoni is also directing a movie for the climax of this story. So we'll be seeing the folks from this and maybe Mando+ converging on the big screen down the line as well.

Wait, really? I wonder what will become of the story’s antagonists then. Like, where will Thrawn end up? Hopefully he won’t die and will somehow return (escape) to his Chiss people. Would be cool to see him face a New Republics tribunal then escape and go back to the Chiss people somehow. Idk. Kinda like how Gideon escaped. I just want “this” Thrawn to somehow transition into the one from Zahn’s new 2017 canon.

Re: Rebels crew - let's not forget we saw Zeb in Mando Season 3, so he could be in Ahsoka as well as Hera, Chopper, Sabine, and Ezra, along with Thrawn as the main antagonist.

Blood orange lightsaber, or as Kyle Katarn called him, "evil Santa" is Ray Stevenson. Most people will recognize them as Volstagg from the Thor movies. As for his Star Wars pedigree, he is the voice of Gar Saxon In Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

It was confirmed during the Ahsoka panel that Lars Mikkelsen will be playing Grand Admiral Thrawn. He was on stage with the cast. They showed an extended version of the trailer to the audience where they revealed his face. I am even more hyped for this show.

For those who have not seen the Clone Wars the droid at the end is David Tennant who plays a droid that teaches younglings how to make their own lightsabers and is older than yoda and also kicks ass. So to reiterate DAVID TENNANT is returning to Star Wars

Finally orange lightsabers!!! I believe Baylon (the old guy) and his apprentice (Shinn? spelling?) are members of the Acolytes of the Beyond. Baylon may be on the hunt for Vader’s lightsaber that the Beyond cult was obsessed with.

I only know Ahsoka from her live action appearances and really liked her there, and remember Thrawn from the old books, so I'm excited. I never saw Rebels but those characters look cool in live action.

The guy with the red-orange saber is a former Jedi who survived Order 66, but fell to the dark side. I believe his name is Balor, the blonde girl is his Padawan. Ahsoka is also seen fighting an Inquisitor with that helicopter saber and a pair of Thrawn's droids. I think this will be a reworked version of the Thrawn trilogy, without the non-canon stuff. The holo image of a man in red and white is Ezra

You know how every season of these Disney+ shows has an episode that feels very “side quest-y”? I want an episode of this show that’s just her and Luke Skywalker. I want to see her tell him about his father and, more importantly, help him finish his training. I know Yoda did a lot, but running through the swamp and lifting rocks doesn’t get Luke to where we see him in the Mando season 2 finale.

So, I'm actually thinking that given the time portal thing in rebels, along with the development of cloning tech used to bring back Palpatine, that man with the blood orange saber and his apprentice is either a clone of, or an alternate timeline version of Vader, created to be subservient and an aid to thrawn. The cloned dark jedi in the trilogies name is Jorrus C'baoth. It is another possibility, but I wonder if they're that brave...

The scene with Hera going after the ship shouts to me where Thrawn's forces are stealing the mining pods in Heir to the Empire.

I have not been this excited for a show in a long time. Read the Thrawn Trilogy when it was canon and watched Ahsoka grown up since day 1 into possibly my favorite SW character ever. MAN ... Enjoy everyone!

Guys… this looks freaking amazing! I was kinda keeping my feelings contained until we got a first look and I wasn’t sure what to expect from the teaser. But now?… Now my excitement level just jumped like 50 notches. Don’t get me wrong this was right behind Mando in terms of anticipation for me. But now I have something tangible to be excited about. We got more than I ever thought we would in this trailer and that just makes me even more excited because we know how much Disney likes to hide. And the music was awesome! I mean come on what else could you want? I got so excited when Ahsoka said heir to the empire. The blood orange saber guy is a dark jedi and and an order 66 survivor. He’s hired by Thrawn to find Ahsoka. I think his name’s Shin. Or at least that’s what the leaks say. I hope we get Kanin flash backs or a force ghost. That’d be better than Ezrah. Guys I can’t even tell you how excited I am. This might actually break even with Mando in terms of excitement level. If anything can top that this can.

There's no way in hell that Dave Filoni would EVER let Disney make Ashoka a limited series. I'm 100% sure that it's in his contract for basically revitalizing the Star Wars universe that he can do whatever he wants with Ashoka. That's her baby girl, come on.

someone wise once said "No one likes 14 year olds." that's what happened with Ahsoka when she was first introduced to the star wars fandom. she wasn't meant to be likable when she was 14, she was meant to grow, learn, and change over time under the tutelage of Anakin Skywalker AKA Darth Vader. so she grew up and survived order 66 because the chosen one was her master and he taught her well. it took over a decade but she's NOW one of the best things to ever happen to star wars. #don't@me also i love how this picks up like if it was a new season of rebels!! can't wait to see chopper!

99% of reactions I've seen have missed Ezra. I did too on first watch. Too much coming at you on screen to process that little hologram image in 1/3rd of a second and then more shit coming at you haha. Looks sick! I really, really need this one to be good.
