Love how the biggest applause and reactions in the trailer came from Thrawn and Chopper, the two menaces of Star Wars. Also, Jacen is in the show. In the trailer last celebration there was a close shot in the Ghost of a hand trying to reach out to a cup on a table with the force, definitely him.

Yeah after hearing on Discord they were at the panel I was disappointed that wouldn’t get to see them react to all of that awesome! So definitely glad got something! On another note, considering how much they did show us in that trailer I makes me wonder how much they have to surprise us with!

I would legit weep if they bring Kanan back for a flashback live action cameo

Honestly, Ray Stevenson's physicality makes Baylan feel so *powerful* even from only getting a tiny glimpse of him. Feels like one of the most dangerous Force users we've seen in a while.

Yeah, tales of the jedi was incredible, but clone wars season 7 was so long awaited, as was this show.

I can't explain the feelings I had when I saw Thrawn and then heard Ahsoka say, "Heir to the Empire..." HOLY SHIT. Instant chills.

30+ years. It's all we (my father and uncle) needed to hear. For Thrawn to be called as Heir to the Empire. I really loved the OG books as well as the canon ones. I think we 3 broke the hearing of the rest of the family lol!

No risk, they're allowed to record their own reaction, snd you can record the sound or video, just not both.

I love watching Blind Wave for this very reason - They LOVE Star Wars!

I think the timeline for Ahsoka is that immediately after her fight in The Mandalorian she went to Sabine on Lothal and the Rebels epilogue scene played out. We are seeing clips from that scene, slightly adjusted for live action but essentially the same, some shots exact copies. Then after that they start the search for Thrawn and Ezra. There's some discussion that the World Between Worlds is the way Ray Stevenson's character comes from the past to find something in the future. Hence why his sabre is a bit weak and old-fashioned looking; he's from the Old Republic era. Not sure if that is even on the table as an idea, but it's a thought worth considering. Those ships arriving out of hyperspace must be Calamari, as the shot seen after with the holograms of Mon Mothma etc is located in a Mon Calamari briefing room (a la ROTJ).

Ngl, Ray Stevenson looks dead up like the Sith Emperor that ruled the Sith Empire during the Old Republic and turned Revan and Malak to the Dark Side. I know that he isn't that character, but the resemblance is uncanny.

Yeah, even without a face reveal, and in the most earth like costume, a navy admiral white outfit, but it suits Thrawn so well. Also, kinda weird seeing Blindwave so excited for the droid at the end, Huyang, for those of us who saw the leaked ahsoka first look from last celebration, and know about all the leaks, those being where Thrawn are Ezra are, the dark jedi's names and allegiance, and the world between worlds "what if" scenarios, no spoilers, but that's the biggest part of the show imo.

Glad this is finally out :) was waiting patiently. Hope you're having a great time in London!

Sidenote, the video of you guys watching the trailer made me 10x more excited for the show, hearing everyone cheering made me so emotional

My biggest hope for this, coupled with the announcement that Dave's movie will be the culmination of the Mandoverse, is that they sort of merge Heir to the Empire with the canon Thrawn books. Have him take over the Imperial Remnant and fight the New Republic, but also continue the as-of-yet unresolved Grysk storyline which is more or less the driving motivation for everything he does. They have such a great chance to play into that incredible story and round it out. Bring the Chiss and Grysk warships and weapons to life. Bring the Chiss characters like Ar'alani in. Bring in Eli Vanto and what he was left doing researching the Chiss girl with Second Sight. Bring in Krennic's assistant Ronan and his misguided joining of the Ascendancy to root out the rogue Jedi (the Sky-walkers) in Chiss society. Use this "Mandoverse" and the movie that will supposedly cap it all off to finish telling the story of the Grysk threat which has been steadily and ominously built up over six books. Hell, if you need to, ask Timothy Zahn to come in as a consultant or co-writer so that it all feels just right, so that Thrawn is just as unconventional as we like him, so that the concepts and designs of characters and ships and weapons feel the same as described and envisioned, so that he can help end this story that he's been slowly crafting. This is certainly a No Way Home idea, with a very similar level of just crazy it is and how it will probably never work, but also like No Way Home, miracles can happen, and hopefully this can be one of them, because if it does, then the "Grysk/Thrawn saga, the story told by six books, four shows, and one movie, will be one of the greatest stories in the entire Star Wars IP. And this is the time I'll say "screw it if there are people who haven't read the books or seen every show and don't know the full context". You have the opportunity to make something absolutely incredible. Dew it!

yes we need some grysk reference, maybe a sneak peak and then a full invasion in the New Jedi Order movie with Rey post ep9. And we need some real motive for Thrawn fighting the new republic, because yes he is a villain in rebels but he is first a protector of the chiss ascendency

@@xTehOwn well, one thing the Thrawn book did well (the one that explains how he got into the Empire) does a pretty good job of showing his view on the rebels. He's not exactly a bad person. He simply swore loyalty to the Empire and just sees the rebels as his enemies, as insurgents, traitors, and revolutionaries. And for a while, I didn't even realize that the "villains" he was fighting were rebels until they actually used the term "insurgents". Until then, anyone Thrawn was fighting were just the bad guys. So he could still believe the New Republic to be traitors to the Empire, which to him, is the rightful governing force of Lesser Space, which just happened to be poorly led and directed by Palpatine

@@jneumy566 i think the best reason could be that he doesn't see the new republic strong enough to help him fighting the grysk so he will try to rebuild a sort of empire because he need the empire strength. We'll see, today dave said that he consulted zahn about the character and he will do that again for the future. So there is a good chance of good thrawn's portrait.

I love how unorthodox Thrawn is in his plans and how you only know as much as anyone else in the room, only fully understanding what he's doing once he plays his trump card, and I want to see that put to screen cause we really didn't get it in Rebels.

I really want Pellaeon to be a thing in the new canon. He was my favorite in Legends and had probably the best character arc overall.

That crowd reaction to the back of Thrawn's head tells you everything of how important / exciting he is going to be for the future of Star Wars!

Yeah, kinda looked Lars Mikkelsen, but kinda not, if you told me either one, I'd believe you. Wonder if his eyes will be all red or with pupils, and his voice is just perfect, especially if he makes it really creepy and evil sounding, which Lars can totally pull off, unlike in rebels, where that would've been too scary for kids, the glowing red eyes too, but hopefully we'll see him in the official and/or final trailer.

These are the two requirements we MUST get from Thrawn, the exact red eyes of Thrawn from Rebels and especially that voice. The voice is what made Thrawn so epically badass in Rebels.

So knowing that Huyang is alive, Ahsoka is active, and they are considering looking for other lost Jedi, Will Gungi, (the wookie youngling) who we know survived order 66 make a return? I really wanna see a reunion of these three characters, Gungi was a fierce warrior and a rarity of a wookie Jedi, Who the Saber maker, took a speacial intrest in, and Idk how I would react to seeing a live action Gungi, they reintroduced him in Bad batch for a reason, I mean why else show Huyang? Maybe we'll even learn what happened during order 66 how did that group of younglings survive or how many of them did survive, my personal theroy is that either the same guy that helped Grogu helped them out or the older Jedi with the yellow saber gave his life to make sure they got away, and idc how away from the plot it is, I wanna see a flashback from Gungis perspective of order 66. I really feel like its gonna happen.

My problem is that they can’t keep making Jedi live this long in the timeline. Ahsoka isn’t technically a Jedi…fine, Ezra is lost in space…fine. Everyone else needs to be dead by A New Hope. I like Cal but he needs to die in the next game (assuming a trilogy) Gungi surviving order 66 is fine but he should be on borrowed time after that.

@@civilcynic3725 Never said they were the first. But not a lot of big reactors do it. The proof is in the lack of proof, that is a lot of reactors who visit these shows simply forget. Or they can't post a video because they had the camera filming the other direction like everybody else in the room and it would get struck.

I almost never watch reaction videos unless it’s you guys. Seriously… you have THE MOST GENUINE REACTIONS and I don’t have access to SW fan friends IRL so it brings me lots of joy to feel your camaraderie albeit you don’t even know me 😂 I’ve been watching celebration live and there’s SO MUCH I can’t wait to get your takes on… Speaking of…. I haven’t read the thrawn novels since I was a kid and when Disney got LF I tried to actively forget everything in the EU. But I think we would all love a video where you guys describe the plot of the Zahn novels and talk about what can’t be a 1:1 comp but what this could possibly mean for our new characters and plot. Also I read that the last names of the shady orange saber-wielders refer to some type of mythological characters and could be hints to the story. Oh! And also I watched the novel preview panel for the HR era and I’d love to prep for the live action show that supposedly has a character from books and/or comic books that was cast for the Acolyte but I don’t know this character and would love to know more. That might be a good way to try and make a list of the most pertinent novelization content to brush up on before the new tv series’ (aside from Clone wars and rebels animation, duh)

The trailer took my breath away when I first saw it. So much fan service can be achieved just by adapting fan favorite characters into live action for the first time. It's not even that, it's just seeing them again after so long, regardless of media. Continuity is my bread and butter and it looks good to boot.

Ray Stevenson is Punisher in my favorite Punisher adaptation, War Zone from 2008. And he was also Volstagg in the Thor films.

My sister - who loves star wars but is not as in love as I am - watched the trailer with me after I had already and I told her I was super hyped and cried (i cry or laugh with most overwhelming emotions). She turned to me when it was done and said “yeah. I see why you cried”. Super excited to see how the show goes. Excellent casting and everything looks so good so far 😍

It was at the very least fun, very enjoyable and built upon clone wars and what came before. Thrawn was definately a highlight, but even more the mystique of the force in season 4 with the world between worlds, and the wolfs, like Mortis and Yoda's arc in the clone wars, this was missing in the prequels, which makes sense, cause the jedi have lost their ability to use the force properly.

Huge fan from Germany 🇩🇪 keep up the fun and interesting videos 🙌
