@@awildmoose6541, I don't think it's all that bad. The editing or some things about it might be pushed - not to spend time on things they should be. I think it's more that they are trying to be secretive about everything. They're filming out of sequence, and that's half of the reason people complain about Hayden's acting. I don't think he knew what was coming and was asked to make it a little sus. It's foreshadowing his fall. They're trying to paint a particular picture - Sir Din Grogu chokes Cara Dune but can't do anything but defend himself after his training montage... It ends up with poor execution, but if you keep the writers' intent in mind, it will make sense, eventually. They have to rebuild Grogu's badness with purpose and Jedi-like goodness.

@benjaminroe311ify
Жыл бұрын
A lot of people are thinking that. I think a better take would be that his teacher that raised him was very close to the armorer, perhaps even her love interest. And that trainer is Dead. So basically she was there side by side and knows a lot about Din and who trained him kind of like Din's Mother but not his father or trainer. That makes more sense to me in the way she acts around him.
The fights in the episode were incredible! The flying Mandalorians was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in Star Wars! Loved every bit of that!

Star wars truly is a full circle story, First episode we see how much Din cares for the future of foundlings always giving a share of his bounties to forge their armor, now we see him adopting a foundling, teaching and raising him as a student and son, if the series ends here, I wouldn't be dissapointed.

I have a theory that Professor Huyang might be able to repair the darksaber and reforge it to become Grogu size, because he is over a thousand years old, he would have been around when Tarre Vizla first built the thing and has records of nearly every lightsaber built since.

The darksaber represented and even encouraged infighting between Mandalorians for over 1000 years. The whole point of it being destroyed was to further reinforce the line " we are stronger together " and new change of the Mandalorian culture. They're done fighting each other, it is time to rebuild. To then go back and rebuild the darksaber would be a *HUGE MISTAKE!* Din Grogu is now canonically on track to become the new Tarre Vizsla. Maybe in another 1000 years people will be fighting over the saber he will eventually build.

The Armorer is SO COOL this episode and yeah shame on anyone who said that she might be the spy LOL. She was, is, and will always be some kind of a 'mother', 'counsellor', 'guide', you name it, the closest personification of The Way itself. Personally, from the very first of her appearance I always thought, in a way, that her character is almost like a sacred being in mandalorian society, with how she carried herself and how others usually look up at her, emily swallow did a good job on bringing this character alive
I was so glad they didn't make us lose Woves! He just flew up there and took charge and rammed that ship down Gideon's throat!
It just dawned on me that we're going to see a live action Ezra Bridger, in person. All this time I've been like "yeah, Ahsoka is all about looking for Ezra", but until now, I never really thought about what happens AFTER he's found. We could see Ezra and Ahsoka, and maybe even Luke, fighting Thrawn at some point.
Mando and Joel are officially the same character. They're surrogate dads who have a kid with rare abilities, they're both smugglers/contractors, and Mando just took out a hallway full of people by stealing weapons and using them against their comrades.
This episode gave me everything ive wanted since the season 1 finale! I wanted Din and Grogu to settle down in a little house on some peaceful planet but still go on adventures! im so glad that my wish came true!! ALSO MANDOLORE IS BACK WOOH!
The Armorer is Din's adoptive mother. That's why she had a very specific tone when talking about Grogu's parents, her reaction to Din adopting, and leaving Mandalore like his teacher did for him. I am 100% onboard the theory that the title "The Spies" was a biblical reference to Moses and the Twelve Spies he sent to explore Canaan, each being from a different tribe. In this, the word "spies" basically just means "scouts". Also, if I remember correctly, last episode they sent 13 Mandalorians down to scout out Mandalore. Bo and her Twelve Spies (Scouts). Bo specifically also asked for people from each tribe to join her in her quest to do so. Loooots of similarities.

I actually have an interesting theory. As I've noticed, if we go back, we can see, that Moff Gideon had a moustache in first 2 seasons, but he didn't have in season 3. So i think that the one we were fighting here was also a clone like the other, that Mando killed. And the real Gideon is still alive somewhere in space
When Axe Woves escorted everyone out of the ship I thought he was going to sit down and smile like, haha fools they fell for it (I thought he was a spy)

Rest in peace Darksaber, you were a historical weapon for them and for us, the eras change but we will always remember you, who knows, maybe one day a force user and Mandalorian will come out again and a similar one can be created, This is the way

Meh more like 6/10, lot of missing plot points and the plot armour on the mandos compared to the darktroopers in this ep was huge like no mando dies but every darktrooper was gunned down like they were standard stormtroopers. The titles on these eps are just strange, like spy had us wondering but it ended being nothing like it could had been a huge plot twist but they just play it safe and favouring the mandos.
'the spies' appears to have been a reference to the 12 spies sent into Canaan to see how safe the land was... or something like that
Beskar could be worked because of the special properties from the water from the mines of Mandalore. This is how the Armorer was able to tell Din went to there because it reacted properly. So... does that mean the special ingredient to beskar armor is mythosaur piss?

We got teased like twice in a row because at first I thought they were going to make Grogu say his first word, then when that failed, I thought Din would seek out Yoda’s species/homeworld, just for him to say I’ll adopt him when practically adopted him in season 1
Anyone else notice that in the S2 finale a Mandalorian fought Gideon with a spear whilst Gideon used the darksaber. Now its a Mandalorian who uses the darksaber and Gideon with a spear-like weapon.
I was really hoping Gideon would walk out from that fireball, adjust his suit, turn to face the camera to reveal that half of his face was missing, and then drop dead. 😂 He was really giving me Gus Fring vibes in the previous episode when he was talking to the other Imperial officers. It was like they were the cartel bosses that he was secretly plotting against, and I loved it.
So can we put to rest the INSANE theory that the armorer was a spy?

I think Gideon is dead - but maybe one of his clones actually survived, the one that woke to scare Grogu. We may have a force Gideon return soon.

the ones in that room are dead, but the possibility of Gideon clones that predate the force-fused ones is still there. After all, he did say "...were finally going to be perfect." Implying that there were earlier models without the force. Gideon could be like Stargate SG-1's System Lord Ba'al and have clones trying to carry out his plans for some time to come.

oh my god....was it just me or did that music that played when grog was shielding Bo and Din from the fire sound (16:19) eerily similar to the music that plays in the Prince of Egypt when Moses splits the Red Sea? it might just be because both pieces are orchestral but....those first few powerful notes gave me serious flashbacks. (if anyone wants to compare the music tracks themselves, the music starts at about 1:30 into this video: "The Prince of Egypt (1998) - Parting the Red Sea Scene (9/10) | Movieclips". I swear, they had to take inspiration. I'm glad they did, both tracks are very emotionally powerful and awesome (as in, awe-inspiring.) Was not expecting the reference at all though, if it is intended to be a homage.)
I like that in S1E1, The Mandalorian was introduced in an opening iris transition (saloon door opening), and S3E8, he (and Grogu) is shown in a closing iris transition.
That jetpack fight was incredible. What really impressed me is that none of the moves felt wrong. Often with those kind of fight they float weirdly and it feels like gravity is off, but it was perfect. For example the shot where Bo slides on the deck for a second before dropping off, hovering, and firing two knee missiles. That whole thing was believable from a physics perspective

Can't wait to see Axe become father figure to Ragnar as way of honouring Paz' death. (Notice he's standing next to him at the forge). Also, Din Armourer confirmed? @@Commander_Shepard. he was filming LOU at the same time. But also narratively there’s no point in showing his face this season. Regarding “issues” there’s some KZread channels “reporting” that he was difficult to work with even going as far as saying that he was being fired from the show, however if we see how his fellow actors and Dave and Jon talk about him it’s obviously not true, just some channels chasing clicks and some people believing them.

Something about seeing the Armorer drop out of the guantlet was so fire.
According to what I have read, a fourth season is in development. Interconnected spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew expand on The Mandalorian's timeframe, with an untitled feature film directed by Filoni set to serve as a conclusion to the interconnected stories.
Don’t know if this was said or discussed, but you noticed how the Mythosaur opened up its eyes once Grogu officially became a Mandolorian. Yes, I know the Mythosaur had its eyes open when Bo flew by, but I take that it was being disturbed from its rest.

OMG I love Star Wars. WOW
There will be a season 4. Favreau finished writing it in February; they are in Pre-production as of this month, so building sets, creating costumes, etc. Filming is hopefully to start at end of year. I believe a Spring 2025 release date at the earliest but likely later, and I believe there will be a 10-15 year time jump with Mando older, Mandalore being rebuilt, and Grogu as a toddler (warwick Davis-esqe actor walking around instead of puppets).
I love that with the black and red armour, the horns and the double-ended staff, Moff Gideon resembled Maul during the fight with Bo-Katan. It's like Bo was fighting for Mandalore against the previous usurper of Mandalore who killed her sister.. It's like poetry. It rhymes.
I think "The Spies" is a reference to the Biblical story of Exodus, when the Israelites sent twelve spies into Canaan. The scouting crew of Mandalorians were the spies that were sent into Mandalore (Canaan)
Just imagine how different it would've been if Gideon had some Dark Troopers from season 2 left

Now season 4, just Din doing his job getting ressources for Mandalore, finding scattered Mandalorians and a little sideplot with Bo and the Armorer who're rebuilding around the forge.

Not only that, I read Jon wants to take the relationship between Din (D) and Din (G) beyond Season 5, as long as the interest is still there.
Axe woves didn't fly to space, he went to the upper atmosphere of the planet where the ships were waiting. We do it on earth. There's a level between space and the uppermost atmosphere on earth we can traverse. There's a video where a astronaut leap from a perched with his breathing helmet then when he got to the lower atmosphere pulled a parachute then landed.
Love the Finale! The symbiotic relationship demonstrated by Grogu & Mando, demonstrating that the combined skill sets can overcome any enemy. Storyline was great, and looking forward to Season IV!! Calling it now, Grogu will come back and bond/ride the Mythosaur! Also "Spies" can easily be a low-key reference to Thrawn having a plant since Gideon had no Love for Thrawn and I'm sure it was reciprocated. Remember Thrawn plays the long game. Loved story arc.
I like how since Gideon was beaten with the dark saber by a spear he now shows up with his own spear to beat the dark saber. Also Bo has KNEE ROCKETS!!!
There's something oddly comforting about hearing The Armorer say "Lady Krieze."
