    Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati are named after the wolves Sköll and Hati Hróðvitnisson from Nores Mythology. In Old Nores the name Sköll means "Treachery" or "Mockery," while the name Hati "He Who Hates", or "Enemy" They were the children of Fenrir.

    Love the reactions! Just as a bit of info: The "Unknown Regions" are within the main Star Wars galaxy, not a separate one. The Chiss also live within the galaxy, hidden in the unknown regions. The reason the location is so "unknown" is due to the lack of any safe hyperspace lanes through them. This means it is very unlikely that the map, different holograms, etc. are Chiss technology (or Grysk, since the Grysk Hegemony is also in the Unknown Regions), as it sounds like those things were created by the race from the second galaxy, which would be something entirely new

  • @JaigEyesStudios

    @JaigEyesStudios

    10 ай бұрын

    She didn't beat Kanan, in fact this isn't about beating someone in a saber combat. It's about surrendering her stubbornness and let it all out by expressing her emotion so it doesn't hold her back from connecting to the force, and in that moment connecting to the kyber crystal. Overall, Sabine could potentially tap into the Force, but it wouldn't necessarily give her powers like Force push or Force speed. It might be more along the lines of how Chirrut Imwe operates, as he is not technically Force-sensitive but still calls upon it to guide his actions towards their intended outcome. The Force needed to put things in motion and Chirrut was protected by it. Perhaps Sabine could use the Force in a similar manner. Surrender herself to the Force so it can guide her actions to it's goal rather than her own. "I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me."

    My problem with the lightsaber shankings in Kenobi wasn't that the stabees survived, it was how quickly & easily they recovered. Reva and the Grand Inquisitor just sort of... walked it off? Shit, Reva was chasing a 9-year-old across the sands of Tattooine ON FOOT like what, a couple hours later. After little to no medical attention. At least with Sabine we see that it was a life-threatening injury that she wouldn't likely have survived without being rushed to the hospital immediately, and took a while to recover from (perhaps days) even with the best of Star Wars sci-fi medical tech.

    I mean yeah, an argument could be made for those who is mad that Qui-Gon died that he only died because he didn't get immediete medical attention like Sabine and also Kylo Ren who got healed directly by Rey. Maul had the dark side to keep him alive. And the grand inquisitors species has two stomachs so it would be logical for him to be able to survive when the lightsaber cauterise his injury. Feels like something they just pulled out of their ass after-the-fact to hand-wave it away, y'know? Remember, the "show, don't tell" rule in filmmaking exists for a very good reason. In Ahsoka, they SHOW us just how badly being stabbed with a lightsaber will f*ck up your whole weekend. In Kenobi, they don't, characters just recover offscreen like it's a new stage in a videogame or something.

I love that he seems to be continuing jedi traditions with how he is training her like with the jedi braid, i like that they are really showing how being a jedi was also being part of a unique culture that is more than just its specific beliefs, cause Baylan would have been raised since infancy as a jedi, even if he has left the path of the light and the jedi way, he is still part of that culture. The only thing i wish the show would maybe fill in the gaps a bit more with Ahsoka and Sabines relationship, cause we dont really have any context other than Ahsoka left Sabine cause "she wasnt ready" but that she is now ready i guess. I wish the show would help fill in those gaps a bit, or i wish we had a book or comic that did at least.

    @@unincognito3689 It was never confirmed that it is determined by birth. And it is more in the philosophy of SW that it is something far beyond the scope of anyone to determine. The force is mysterious, and even when you think you understand it all, you don't. Hence why the greatest Jedis kept open minded to everything. Just look at Yoda in the comics, when he ends up on a random planet where the force dosen't work like he expect it to, and has to relearn everything... Yes, a force user kids usually are force users... Yet a clone can sometime, and sometime not. The truth is... No one knows. Why did it gave back Kanan he's sight ? How ? My theory about Baylan Skoll: he was a Jedi when Order 66 hit, but he survived, likely by learning that he couldn't continue to ignore the Darkness while he tried to avoid getting killed. Experience taught him that, if the standard Jedi way was open to extermination, then he could not embrace it as the end-all be-all. In refusing to embrace the Sith path either, he did not so much "fall" to darkness, as learn to navigate it. His comment about "power such as you've never dreamed", I think, is his desire to become so strong that no future "order 66" could threaten him again.

    There's actually a fair chance Sabine could take on a trained Force user. Remember that Mandalorians have all their gadgets, many of which were specifically designed to distract or prevent Jedi from being able to use their abilities. Plus they have their Beskar armor, which protects against the lightsaber itself.

While he's not a reactor or even KZreadr per se, Jacob Fullerton from Funhaus also has an insane level of SW knowledge. And so were seeing Hera and Chopper arguing about exploding a hyperdrive in the middle of a city. xD Interesting that they are going with the idea of Sabine being Force sensitive indeed but way below average according to Hyaung. Also i can't believed how much a missed seeing a series where we are bound to have lightsaber action every episode. ♥

    I think there is (or should be) a difference between force extracting memories and sensing the history of someone when they aren’t present. In the hospital room, it could have been reading / extracting…. but outside the tower, that seemed more like a replay than a memory? It seems that would take the combo of Sabine being able to make an impression on the force AND the more developed skills of Ashoka. I think remote force extraction would be way to messy of a concept for writers to implement.

    6:30 speaking of people from distant galaxy, there was supposed to be a novel that lucas film was about to green-lit but then changed their minds in the end. It was called alien exodius, it touched down on human escaping earth that was taken over by self aware technology, they traveled across space and then get suck into something similar to a black hole which sent those humans back in time and into the star wars galaxy. Then humans got enslaved along with a few other alien species such were the rodians, twileks, mon calamari and others. It explored how the human race first arrived into the star wars galaxy from our solar system. This novel was even suppose to show how the characters first came up with name “skywalker”

    Baylan wanting power could very well be about Order 66 rather than just wanting to fill the power vacuum. Like most jedi during Order 66, he probably felt hopeless and like he didn't have enough power to stop it, therefor his trauma response to it would be wanting more power so he never feels that way again and can take on anything and he believes Thrawn can give him that kind of power, I'm sure it is also to do with wanting to fill that power vacuum thought

    I think for those who have seen rebels this show is just golden And amazing. But while it's nice to know who Ahsoka, Sabine, Hera, and chopper are it isn't necessary. In 1977, no one know who obiwan, Anakin, r2d2, c3p0 and jabba were but old Ben gives Luke this history laden take about Jedi, the force, the clone wars and Vader, yet everyone rolled with it and the show taught you what you need to know about them. If you watch the prequels and the clone wars then watch a new hope or will hit very differently then if your watch it first. Either way you can still watch the movie and enjoy it with whatever knowledge you have. The same is true with this. You don't need to know there history to enjoy the show it'll mean more to you if you do not if they do their job right you will end up living them anyway and hopefully make you want to watch rebels to learn more about them
