One day our pup got out and came home half beaten to death, his tail broken and his ear broken and he screamed when you touched his paws. He had to be muzzled at vets... But he was an innocent precious baby who lived long. 17 years. We had to euthanize him because of tumors in his brain and stomach on April 2nd, 2017. His cries of pain are etched into my mind forever. ;.; I miss him so much.

He did same thing, just his way- he`d press his head against my knee and look at me, with those dark, all- knowing eyes... Women on these videos who willingly degrade themselves and call themselves bitches with no shame. @stellarrat Maybe because humans have more complex psychological processes than dogs? Is a dog, the only thing he can do is like you or not like you. You can translate that into "love" or likability, but there's no complex exchange of thoughts, ideas, language, subject/object constructions, etc. Not to mention, dogs are domesticated and programmed/predisposed to be amicable toward humans. So, is not fair for the dog or the human to make such comparisons. No idea why some of you people like to compare human (higher psychological processes) behavior with non-hominin. Even primates and dolphins are closer to us in that regard, but you always like to compare us to dogs, cats, and parrots. 🙄

Rules should be more strict. Bet you can also tame a T Rex after 30 generations of work. Doesn’t make it a viable pet. It’s still an animal. Just get a golden retriever, he does the same.

@@franciscoechevarria174 I've always wanted to be able to own a farm where I could help give the unwanted animals from shelters and children from foster/orphanages a chance at real love and life. I've always brought in strays whether they be animal or human. I try to make it to the shelter a couple times a month to volunteer. It does feel good to help out and play with the animals and show them love.

We used to have a rescued (my aunt worked with an animal rescue outfit called "Homeward Bound") boxer-lab mix that we believed had been either abused or neglected, specifically by a man, since she was initially very skittish around me and my dad (but never aggressive, she wouldn't resist if we just wanted to pet her or something like that) but she warmed right up to my mom. She was one of 15 dogs who were going to be put to sleep because the shelter simply didn't have room for them, but my aunt's rescue outfit was able to save them. She turned out to be one of the sweetest, most intelligent, and most sensitive dogs I've ever had the pleasure to know. Even two years after she's been gone, I still miss her.

there's no forgiveness in animals, stop fucking treating them like humans. They're not. This dog only knew violence and therefore showed aggressive behaviour. Once he was shown care, affection but more importantly no sign of threat nor danger, his instincts (that previously kept him on guard at all times) told him he was safe and so he quickly changed behaviour. Treating animals, dogs, like humans is a disservice to them, it doesnt do them any good, you'll never understand how a dog thinks and acts if you stupidly think you're dealing with a human being. They are not human

There needs to be an animal cruelty law that when you abuse an animal you are subjecting yourself to the same type of abuse when incarcerated. I saw a puppy that was rescued and his eyes were halfway out of his head. It makes you wonder. If these suck people are able to do such horrible things to beautiful animals, they’re not far from doing such harm To animals. Idk, I feel like this is a one strike you’re out for good type of thing. No amount of rehabilitation can bring back someone who kills living things for pleasure. Fuck

@@JohnDoe-dq3hi The owner was cruel because he, too, had been abused. Dogs have FAR more emotional intelligence than people, perhaps because no one can lie to the NOSE! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TO SEE THE TRANSFORMATION. Be aware, thus dog will need more therapy for his PTSD. HE will still be likely to be reactive to triggers -- someone whose scent or behavior frightens him. My rescue turned service dog was terrified of tall men with fur hats. I recruited some tall friends and they helped socialize my 2 yr. old dog, tossing him kibble and LETTING HIM COME TO THEM (while we had him on a 6' leash.) You have to create conditions which tempt the dog to take the scary risk, one baby step at a time. This respects the dog, restored his sense of agency, and lets the dog feel more confident in his own power to be safe without being reactive. EVEN AFTER YOU THINK ALL THE FEAR IS EXTINGUISHED, it can return, especially when dog thinks his savior or pack is endangered. It's not the dog's fault, but buying extra insurance and taking it slow when introducing new people is critically important. My Rescued Aussie passed in July, after nearly 11 years of assisting me with balance and being Daddy's best buddy. We now take comfort in how good a life he had.
