My mom is 65 and snagged a 45 year old...he can barely keep up...but they're happy...my mom has lived a hard life with horrible men..she deserves to be happy so I don't care..he treats her well and they have fun..I'm all in support of that.

Yeah but that's the uk and having sex at 16 is legal here !! All of these I think they are adults so each to their own that's their choice. However that guy who started a relationship with the 16 yr old just because its legal does not make it right and he had no right to encourage her and start a relationship with her that's just wrong on so many levels 😳 seriously she was bearly of legal age !! And him saying im with her because she asked me well he should have said no and known better. You are correct. The legal age for s*x is 16 but you are not an adult until 18. Morally it’s wrong. They need to up the consent age to 18.

For some reason, Hattie at 82 is more attractive than John at 39. I guess he needs to get in shape.

I had a patient in the hospital who’s husband was MUCH younger than her. We were discharging her and I said “your son went to get the car”, and she says “he’s not my son, he’s my husband honey”, I was mortified and said “I’m so so sorry”. She replied with “oh honey, I’m not!” I was like alright!

I went to a hardward store to buy a generator. My 37 year old son was there to help me get it home. The store clerk referred to him as my husband. I said 'that's not my husband, that's my son". It made me feel flattered, but not so much my son.

Consenting/ mature adults are able and within their rights to do as they please. On the other hand, when an "adult" is attempting to justify preying on a naive child that is literally criminal.

My husband is 12years younger than me and 11years later we still very happy and married for 4years,. He stood by me through my most difficult tile in my life, the big C and even after I had a mastectomy, he married me. I'm truelly blessed ❤

That 82 year old lady is BLOWING MY MIND. She's much cooler than me, and im 42. Definitely young at heart and much more fun even than some people in their 20s. I wish one day I could have even 10% of her confidence ❤❤❤❤

He's now in his 80's & is retired, can't hear, refuses to wear hearing aids, won't travel anymore & naps a lot of the day & had a heart attack & has health problems. He doesn't have the energy to do much around the house. She's still working & wanting to go out because she's still young & full of energy. It's only recently that she said she should have considered the age difference more seriously, but she was young & it's difficult to see the future 30 years later.

This is really a cautionary tale to not make age gaps in relationships be too lengthy! Always have a cut off point.. Anything 20 years older is virtually your extra parent you didn't have.... And if they start by treating you accordingly,then don't be too surprised!

I was willing to go for a surrogate woman, but he didn't want that either. Being older, I couldn't take the chance that he would be a bitter sixty year old with no children of his own, and blame me for that. I think in life there are no "solutions;" only trade offs, so they say. But I find this to be generally true.Regards.

16 when started is definitely all kinds of wrong. Moral and legally.

As a 62 year-old (yes, my picture is current), I was in a relationship with someone 23 years younger than myself. I loved his wonder about the world, his enthusiasm, and he was a highly intelligent nerd with a fantastic sense of humour. He has two kids now, and I'm glad he has found the right lady to start a family with; that part of my life was long past, I certainly wasn't going to have any more children, and I'll love him until my last breath - he's a phenomenal human being. I admire how younger men have a better insight into their own emotions, and aren't afraid to show it. People assume that with older women it's about a sexual conquest, but that's a stereotypical assumption that that is the priority, and it's a superficial insult to all of the other things people can have in common. He wowed me by calling me at 10 at night to yell out: "The northern lights are out - let's go!!" We sat in chairs on a lake front until 4 am oohing and aaahing about the hours of colors dancing in the sky. I'll never forget it, it was magical. It's about people and connection, and that isn't age dependent. Good on anybody who can make it work, you've got my overwhelming support!!

At least not in my experience I'm a large 55year old woman with big hips and booty and my 27 year old construction worker lover LOVES my body; he literally cannot get enough. I'm his physical type. We mutually decided to break up recently (after 6 years together :) I'm pretty sad but ok with it, we had our time, and because he also wants children and I'm past that. I was married to the love of my life who is passed on in 98 unfortunately. But there was a 21 year age gap and it simply was a non issue for Us. Other's at first took pleasure in trying to figure out " what are Issue was" that mental problem that brought us together... Lol The Only One's with a " Mental Problem" was THEM... My husband and I adored each other and never were jealous or untrusting. We could have a conversation without even speaking. Real Love is a Rare and Beautiful Thing.

Same... 15 years. I have lived 33 of the last with his stroke he had at 45. I love him with every fiber.. He was a Green Beret and the most powerful, beautiful man I have ever ever met. !!!!! he is now in nursing home, but enjoys me still "living".. THAT is love! REAL love! It DOES happen. he was a Soldier in Vietnam when I was 4 years old.

I met my husband when I was 22 and he was 32. When you're younger I think a 10 year age difference is a bigger deal. We've been married 22 years and I can HONESTLY say the age difference between us has never been an issue. I recently asked my mom if our age difference mattered when we were were first dating. She said, "It wasn't my relationship and your Dad and I figured if it didn't bother you why should it bother us?" I think that pretty much sums it up.

I was 18 and my boyfriend was 24 when we met and he was a bit worried what people would think but we was both adults so thats all that matters, I am now 26 and he is 32 an it doesnt sound as bad now even though 18 and 24 isnt bad

@@pearlkelly6337 Exactly. I think it's all about perspective. Obviously at 18 (high school age) you're young and haven't had as many relationships. At 24 (college age) you're a little older with a little more life experience. I think that's how OTHER people see it anyway. In reality there can be an 18yo who's very mature for their age so a 24yo partner is on the same level for them. Or an immature 24yo is just fine with an 18yo partner. Or maybe it's a little of both and the 18yo and 24yo partners average out to be around 21. If that makes any sense? That's kind of what happened with myself and my husband. I was a mature 22yo and he was a bit immature 32yo. We met in the middle so it worked for us. Now at 48 and 58 we're but just immature! Guess he won in the end. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Im 12 years older than my boyfriend, and for some (again, probably sexist) reason, people act like its worse that I'm the older one. Like there must be something wrong with me since I don't 'find someone my own age', or what he would want with 'an old woman'! No one ever says that when it's the man thats 12 years older, that's considered totally normal.

I am 24 currently talking to a 43 year old woman and i love the fact i was able to communicate with her without being childish and not wanting to talk like girls this generation seem to have a problem with. The guy dating the 82 years old seems to be very controling and an angry person who is not looking for love but for a doll or a manikin that he can use as he please. This 82 years old can be a little intensive as he said, but everything that she was doing was bothering him. He should find a manikin that won't do anything to make him angry. If he behaved with this lady like that in front of the cameras I wonder if he gets violent with other women.

My heart broke for Steve, you can see the pain in his eyes as she sits there making jokes about how he won’t live long enough. He may seem like he’s going along with it, but inside that man is broken and crushed, and the fact that she is/was a cancer nurse, repulses me. Cancer is no laughing matter, I lost my own Mum to cancer and the thought that someone could mock it, particularly their partner whom is dying, is outside the realms of my thought process, it’s sadistic and a total lack of empathy and respect. I like a joke and a good laugh, but her words caused that man pain, you could clearly see the turmoil and misery in his expressions as she sat there citing how he wouldn’t live long enough to use a bottle of aftershave.

@@Bombabingbong66 Sorry Kerrie, I fail to see humour in Cancer, also, I am British and understand our humour quite well. I'm a fan of Lee Evan, Michael Mcintyre, Peter Kay and the alike. I totally understand how grief can sometimes be dealt with, and joking about things can often be a comfort. I just feel there is a time and a place, and whilst the lady in the film may get comfort from that particular joke, the man whom was dying, clearly found that moment quite distressing. Cancer isn't about us whom are left behind, as I'm sure you'll agree. Our grief process is no match for the person with the death sentence, and although we're all deeply touched by that wretched disease at some point within our lives, we should always be mindful of what we say and when, especially around the person whom will inevitably pass away. I understand what you’re saying and a little while back I would have agreed. But recently I was talking to a lady down my gym who had had cancer, told me how awful the treatment was and although she is clear from cancer she still struggles with her health. Told me the only way she coped was if her and husband made what some might see as sick jokes about her not making it. Very dark humour. It worked for them. We all handle things differently. I definitely won’t judge how people respond to what lives throws at them.

I'm almost 52 (yes, my pic is recent). I'm dating a 36 year old (7 yrs). People dont realize im older when were out together. I'm 4 years younger than his mom, which was a little weird at first but treats me better than anyone my age I've ever dated. Ivef been abused, lied to and cheated on in the past. He's so patient with my issues. I do have health issues too (type 1 diabetic)and going blind. He takes me to my Dr appointments and helps me as much as he can. I worry he's wasting his life with me but he is constantly reassuring me he's happy 🥺 no point to my story, just sharing 😆

My advice, is ignore ppl talking about u. I'm 38 and with someone 25 yrs older. I don't give it a 2nd thought. U love who u love. He also helped me to see i was in an abusive marriage. But, the younger person in the relationship, needs to be mature enough to understand the relationship. Enjoy what u enjoy..... much love to all of the couples. ❤

At 24, I married a man 24 years older. Before we were married, he swept me off my feet. After we married, he became controlling, and jealous of my friends and family.
