    Been watching movies for 50 years and this now ranks as the most depressing I've ever seen. I have to tell you it was really hard to beat The House of Sand and Fog and there was this movie about a failing salesman but I forget the name now. I am a survivalist, and this movie was very thought provoking about how many people you want in your group. Def useful to have more than two people, but there reaches a point where more people just equals more problems and mouths to feed. I DO think you need at least enough to guard the place around the clock.

Why does the US say it has 75 missiles with 50 warheads on each one? Why not 100 ot 1000? Or 10,000 with 100 each when 1 or 2 will do the job? But then where is it aimed when the "enemy" keeps moving to new countries? So 1 is aimed at Moscow? But what about Poland being on Our Side? Is it just collateral damage? Or France, Switzerland? Finland? Iraq? But what about Jerusalem? Or Vatican City? Here's a secret.... there aren't any bombs? Do you think when the bombs start launching that the US will scramble jets to retaliate? You think Pilots are gonna be so Gung-ho theyll just get in a plane? They won't want to be with their loved ones? Theyll only want to kick Putins Ass for destroying NY? Okay there might be Some small ones on subs and jets but no Stockpile like they claimed during the Cold War and Arms Race. A truly well made film from beginning to end! Plot, characters and their interactions are really brilliant. Unfortunately, it's just extremely frightening and sad how close the film is to the reality that will very likely take place after a nuclear war and under what conditions and torments the survivors have to endure the rest of their still definitely short lives. Let's never let it come to that!

    Well? Okay? I'll do my part to ensure we never let Nuclear War ever happen!! Seems like a tall order but if we all pull together and store food, water, toilet paper etc? We just might be able to survive the bombs dropping non stop for days. Enough to turn this planet into a bumpy sheet of glass 7 times over, even when 99% of humanity is a shadow outline on the pavement before the next round of bombs drop that peels up the pavement. I'm 12 mins and 30 seconds into this D rate after school special and can already tell this movie is garbage just because it has Edward Furlong in it? So far more than half of the survivors made the mistake of waking up that morning with vaginas? And the main character just taking over the driving? Picking up people and bossing people around in their own houses? Then he scavenges around those people's house? So stupid? Fox News says....when does the Bible make an appearance?

    As a 18/ 19 year old back in the early 80s in the reserves I trained for NBC nuclear biological & chemical warfare + conventional as a infantry assault that would be sent to fight in Germany. The motto was " survive to fight " I can tell you all the training was intense & I could imagine the utter terror of it. I came to the conclusion that I/we had to make ourselves better trained than the enemy & more prepared for what would happen if it kicked off to survive. From my training & experience in life I think the shock from a grid down scenario would debilitate most people . The immediate shock of anything happening and how they react. Even if their prepped up and ready . The debilitating effects will be the flight & fight syndrome.. stresses .. anxiety .. adrenaline rush and then drop outs .. the immune system will take an absolute kicking from this to the point of going from anabolic to catabolic . This shock factor won't take into account other very important things such as climate , and your present state of health. It's most important in times of a raised threat level ... that's all it is . Keep things in perspective. To adjust your diet to a more healthy one [ try to lose weight if overweight NB ] include some intermittent fasting if health allows ., adjust your cardio levels . Remember to ensure vitamin and minerals are consumed . Learn de stress techniques.. and how to re- set back to anabolic. This does work and will probably save your life. That's pretty much in my opinion enough to be able to cope and survive . Oh yeah .. some preps & a little forward planning such as what if ? I'm here... there .. or its cold / hot etc. Remember ... wear sunscreen . [ you could dancing the funky chicken on your 80th birthday 😊 ]

    This movie really does makes you think.... We were given a planet that was self sustaining, endless supply of food, water, plants not only as food but medicine also, the abundance and sheer beauty of our earth was simply amazing, over whelming at times, but it was more than enough for mankind to grow @ prosper.... Sad to say and shamed to admit,we were never satisfied with what the earth was able to give to us, we wanted everything she could give plus all we could push for,demand, and take. I shudder to guess at just how many long, destructive years we spent knowingly robbing @ raping, performing mass destruction on our once majestic planet. Our greed killed our conscience long ago, no matter what we had or was never enough. We spread poison @ pollutants near and far,by land, in the seas, thru the air. The animals we were given for food, warmth, help in working the land and protection,we killed in mass lots, needed or not,our greed and cruelty knows no bounds. We kill for sport,amusement @ trophies, to the point many animals are extinct. The fish, struggling to survive in filthy water polluted by every chemical we can get by with dumping into our oceans, lakes@ streams,even filling them with our own stinking raw sewage , the same waters where we take fish as a food source. We have a pile of filthy,rotting garbage the size of N.J. floating across the ocean!! In the past, when they made a vaccine for a disease, then once you took that vaccine you were immune to that disease. Is it any wonder that now the vaccines they make are useless. I fact,I knew many ppl in tn who took the shots and died anyway, or were left unable to walk @ respitory issues from then on. So, watching this movie I can easily see this and so much more coming for us all . Our only hope is for Lord Jesus to return for us before we continue to mindlessly muddle thru until we completely destroy the earth and every living creature on it thru wars and filth. We have destroyed every single being or life form we could lay hands on. So, save us Lord,save us from ourselves..........

  • @flashgordon6670

    @flashgordon6670

    10 ай бұрын

    But are you really an expert in survival matters, or are you a big fat liar? The only way to determine what the truth is, is by a test in the form of a question. I have two questions that your answer will show your level of survival IQ. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions, only what you can justify by sound reasoning and logic, determines the rightness and wrongness of your answers. So there’s various levels of correctness that you can be and they’re multiple choice so they can’t be any easier to give a correct answer to. But like a double edged sword, they also reveal possible flaws with your thought patterns that are crucial for survival. Everyone can have they’re own right answers if they can adequately justify them and convict the other possible answers of not being correct. I have my correct answers, I know what they are and no doubt we’ll have a good argument afterwards, where I’ll correct and educate you, unless you think exactly the same way as me. To make it Even easier, there’s only 3 possible options for the multiple choices in both questions; now are you ready? No cheating allowed, I invented these questions myself, but someone else has probably thought of them as well. Question 1: In a survival situation, in what order of importance do you put, Food, Water and Shelter and why? Question 2: Which is the most useful and why? You may order them, or just choose one option. Fork, Knife or Spoon?

  • @flashgordon6670

    @flashgordon6670

    10 ай бұрын

    P.s. And if you refuse to answer my questions then you’ve failed to justify your claim that you’re an expert in survival matters and by default you’re justifying that you’re a big fat liar. Better to give your answers and be wrong than failing to answer at all. Bc you still get some respect for wrong answers that you’ve attempted to justify. That’s the essence of Survival, trial, error and correction and patience. If you display these qualities even by giving wrong answers, then you’ll pass the test. Have fun!

  • @flashgordon6670

    @flashgordon6670

    10 ай бұрын

    @@PamlUmber Sounds logical, but you didn’t answer the first question fully, either bc you didn’t understand it, or bc you’re deliberately trying to avoid giving a wrong answer. Either way you failed, bc I specifically stated that there’s no right or wrong answers, it’s your thought processes that are important and although you did demonstrate some basic logic, you didn’t strive to complete the challenges that the questions pose and so unfortunately, you’ve failed to prove that you’re a survival expert. In some situations yes, you can just whack up a shelter in about half an hour, sit by a lake or stream and food just walks or swims up to you. But that isn’t what Surviving is about now is it? What if there’s no lake or streams, or very little water source and limited means for sheltering and cover for prey? This is the whole point of Surviving, it’s about the struggles and improvising to find ways, to get the essentials for life support. What you basically said was if you already have unlimited clean water, focus on shelter first as food will be easy. So you prioritised water, then food, then shelter, although you said it in a backwards roundabout way to make it seem like you said shelter first, then food and last water, in the order of perceived difficulty. The question wasn’t about difficulty or ease of acquiring the essentials, although they’re factors in the equation. The question was about priority, for what you should focus on to maximise the chances of Surviving ANY situation, striking a delicate balance with seemingly competing objectives and how you reason and justify your answer. What you did do correctly as I alluded to earlier, is identify the connection between all the essentials and that’s an important stepping stone on the right path, so I credit you for that. You would probably survive in most situations, but you would struggle a little more than necessary. Remember though that we’re talking about a wide range of environments and possible situations that a real survival expert would understand. You can have another try if you think you’re smart enough, you earned it, but somehow I doubt it. Question 2: Why the Spoon? Are you just guessing, or do you have any actual reasons? Perhaps this question would’ve been better worded; If you could only have one of a knife, fork or spoon; Which would you choose and why? In conclusion I will say that you’re on the right path, but that doesn’t make you an expert like me I’m afraid. You must try better if you want to beat me in an argument and you must have something to back up your BS with and not just go around saying I’m an expert this or that, when you’re patently just a big fat stinking lying troll who lives in his mamma’s basement. Perhaps you should stick to flipping burgers your true talent, someday you might make it as chip fryer.

    @@flashgordon6670In this situation of nuclear fallout from the movie's setting, step one clean air, wet a cloth mask and get to work. I would pump as much water above ground as possible before it became contaminated. Sandbags can make a personal sleeping fallout shelter to get "out" of the radiation. I'd keep all my food and water in the sand bag shelter and the bunker down and conserve energy like a hibernating bear. The knife is 101 tools in one so it would be my choice, I'm no expert just thinking ahead. I currently have a few thousand gallons, a gas mask and a few cans of tunu but I should order some sand bags after watching this. If this happened today I would have to improvise with clothes and blankets to make sacks of dirt to make a dirt roof over me. One thing to keep in mind though. As the elites have the money, they did not 'build' our civilization. It is the labor of the 'masses' that did the building. The elites could not figure out how to bust a hole in a wet paper bag, much less rebuild a civilization. They would live as long as their provisions lasted and then they would start to turn on each other for what provisions were left between them. Elites are greedy and they would take from, and kill, each other to be the last one standing.

    What a fantastic movie! 🎉 Great plot, fantastic actors, excellent camera. Too bad the sound is so low. Also I could hardly understand the black guy, because of his typically bad pronunciation. But all the other actors did a fantastic job here. This is not a science fiction thriller. This is our future if the current politicians stay in charge, or are substituted by some of their like-minded kin. Politicians must understand that it's not climate change that is destroying the world, but the current politics, such as mass migration, terrorism, wars, experiments with societies, etc. All the war mongers should be put in a ring, where they may fight each other, instead of spreading hatred, sending other people's children to war, committing terror acts, migrating into differing countries with foreign cultures to assault the people living there and destroy thriving countries and nations. May only the peaceful nations and people prevail by fighting for their peoples' freedom and healthy future! Cheers from Germany to all those who are of my kindred spirit! 🎉

Lets hope that humanity has a different future in store, and will, if needed , step back from the brink, though it seems hell bent on self-destruction and its role in climate change. Thank you for uploading this excellent movie 👍

    You all think that this vorus and the subsiquent "inocculations" weren't all preplanned....... hence the term "scamdemic" or "plandemic"..... millions died, because few of you challenged 9/11 ...... they saw how feeble minded the "sheeple" were..... So since many of us have died, and this won't be the only "incursion" into our lives......

    This is John Connor in a parallel universe where they didn't stop the nuclear blast. Funny seeing Furlong playing a wanker. He's usually a good kid. Even in American History X. He just idolised his brother's ideals a little too much.

    This movie shows how it could all end and yet Humanity doesn't learn from its mistakes. Having had Japan go thru this . We are still working on distroing our selves. God must be waiting for us to do what he has only treaten us to do with us. He must be saying i should just wait they will eventually do it themselves.

    For the first time ever I'm happy I live by a nuclear power plant... if a bomb falls on it I won't have time to know I'm dead. The Doomsday clock is already at 11:58 in rl.... this could really happen depending on how crazy Putin or other world leaders feel moment to moment.

    Similar situation. We live near a primary target. Not happy at the idea of dying at all but it is inevitable, whether by old age or deadly encounter. At least with the latter, there will be no time to even realize death is at our doorstep.
