After Losing Father to COVID, Kids Lose Home, Survive on Mother's Meagre Income | The Quint

Fourteen-year-old Ajay (name changed), though very shy, spoke to me like a grown up about his father. When asked about his future plans after his father Arjun's death, he said he now feels responsible for his mother Kavita and younger sister Avantika (name changed).
Arjun died of COVID at 43 on the day of his marriage anniversary, 18 April 2021. He has left behind his wife Kavita and two children Ajay and Avantika.
While Ajay said that his papa wanted him to 'earn enough to live a respectable life' - Avantika said her father wanted her to 'become a good teacher'.
Avantika (12) found it difficult to express her feelings, but Ajay continued sharing his memories of his Papa.

@@sunrise8015 Street side vendors are one of the worst culprits, they don't pay taxes, they forcefully occupy roads, steal the electricity and earn money, bribe the local police and enjoy their life. While the actual lower class people tries to rent out a place, pay taxes and do the job honestly. I have seen many shops suffer because of this. It is so sad. So many rules and regulations goes into setting up some type of shop or business but street side vendors do everything for free.

The people who went around the entire city and hospitals to find oxygen to save their loved ones knows what they went through. I went with my family member to 20 hospitals (delhi+ UP) could not find a single icu bed. Saw dead bodies piled up like wood logs in hospital alleys. One of the most horrifying things that I've seen in my life till now. At the end when I begged on my knees to a doctor he helped me out of good will. Provided IV medicines and oxygen for few hours which made a huge huge difference. My family member is not healthy now, developed liver cirrhosis but she's alive. Thankful to that doctor. 🙏🙏 We just need to get over religion based politics. Religion does not matter! Humanity does!

@Sudhanshu Shreyas If a party has to remain in the political system then they have to do all this . Blame it on the people who put such a political system in place post 1947 . Thru the year some or the others Elections goes on in some place of the other. Costs runs into multiple millions in a country where the poverty levels remain near abt same as 1950 & the largest voters base the rural & poor do not even understand the responsibilities of State govt & Center..

It's just the older generation tend to restrict but in today's world ever parents want to educated their children whether it is son or daughter.
