As an old Yes fan, I am always happy when Yes makes new friends. A song by them that you will surely like too: "Turn Of The Century" from the album Going For The One.

I hope she discovers many more awesome songs from Yes. I'm 58 now and love Yes since about 1980 or 1981.

Yes is layer upon layer of greatness,and just when you think the song may be ending,it is literally just beginning!It climbs you up a mountain,walks you through a meadow,lulls you on the waves of the ocean,soars you up to the heavens,then gently lays you down again in a gorgeous field of wildflowers! I've seen YES live a few times. Magical and majestic! YES was my first concert at the Forum in 1976. Incredible experience. Great reaction!

I'm so glad you were so affected. I saw them in the early days and for my money, they were the best live band of all.

Yes has been my fave band since 84'. So amazing and unique, nothing like them. If you like their pretty and mellow songs, try Wonderous Stories and Turn Of The Century. For jam songs try Roundabout first.

Yes is total music.... when I saw them play this song on their 35 anniversary concert tour I shed a tear....

Best version. I think I was about 6 when I first heard it back in '74. I loved it then. I love it now.

You can't be in a hurry while listening to Yes! I was in high school when I first heard them. Their live performances were epic! This was a B side on a single I bought in the 1970's. It might have been Roundabout. I played it for the first time late one night and it blew me away.

I had the album when it came out. If you would listen to every song from the beginning to end you will not regret it. Each song smoothly transitions to the next. What you are listening to now I think Teacher/Preacher. The entire album is like that.

The very first moments of this song were not originally intended to be a part of the song. Steve Howe was tuning and it just so happened Rick Wakeman was playing the beginning chord low key in the background. When they heard it they just said, yeah that;s a keeper

For another awesome Yes hit do "Yours Is No Disgrace" the first song from their 'The Yes Album' (1971) album. It was their seminal album that put them on the charts big time. Other great songs on that album too! @ 3:10 Wow is right on! LOL! Yes is like that. Wait until you do the title song off that same album you just did there!! Did I understand this is your first Yes song? Oh my! You're going to get pelted with Yes song suggestions Nasa! After doing 'Yours Is No Disgrace' consider the 3rd one called "Starship Trooper". All the songs are good on that album and the other albums that followed. ✌️😎

So...this is the kind of group that makes music for themselves...not for people to understand...to some extent anyway...they are all masters at their craft and intend to show that off.

Hello, greetings and love to you Nasa from the USA. I like your reaction on the Yes song" And You and I" from the album Close To The Edge. But may I suggest that you listen to the title track of the same album. It's an epic adventure (at least in my opinion) and it will blow you away. Plus also listen and react to "Wondrous Stories" and definitely listen to the final track "Awaken". Their both from the album Going For The One. I'm very glad that you had kept an open mind during and after you had listen to it. You know, just being out of your comfort zone. It's not often that I see a beautiful black woman, such as yourself, listen to something other than I guess what were custom too, I think. Some guy or gal of our own race will ask me what music and artist I'm listening to. Let's say for example The Rolling Stones and they'll ask me " well why you wanna listen to that?" And I'll tell them because I like it and they'll give me a negative look from their faces and walk off. I'm sure you felt the same way. But you're not the only one on this channel that listens and reacts to other artists. Other black women ( and men too) listens and reacts to other artists on other You Tube channels and that's very very cool. Now for the record I don't have a You Tube channel, I just like watching it. Listening to all sorts of music is like going to all different kinds of restaurants eating ( or at least trying) different kinds of foods. You see it, smell it, taste it, swallow it, like it and you want more. Music. You curiosity looking at the album or CD cover or by some easy chance watch it on KZread channel. You hear it, you like it, love it and want to hear it again and again and again. So keep tuning in. I'm sure you will find other musical tastes and artists that you may had seen and heard or not. It could be argued that every Yes song is a love song; love for a person, for life, for existence, even for whales. But if you want a romantic ballad, try Onward. IMHO, it's the greatest love song ever.

Steve Howe, voted World's Greatest Guitar Player, not once, not twice, not thrice, but FIVE consecutive years by his fellow guitar players, after which he was removed from the list of candidates so that somebody else might have a chance to win that award. And, yes, he does make a 12-string acoustic guitar sound fabulous, even when he is just tuning it up before beginning to play a song.

Wondrous Stories, Gates of Delirium, I've Seen All Good People, Turn of the Century, Don't Kill the Whale and plenty of other Yes songs have easily understood lyrics. Others are more esoteric and impressionistic...
