I hope that Morgan Freeman went back and bought the land that Alfred and Ceele and their children were buried on. That's his family's story to pass on to new generations. My family has a little nothing cemetery in Alabama but it's still kept up.

At minimum, get with landowner currently to explain that is his relatives, and make a way for him to be the upkeep on the general area of rest, maybe updated head stones with dates/information, rectangle of stones around area with white rock covering marked area, flower holders, using the existing stones to be cleaned and restored and set back in next to new headstone.

Morgan is literally the byproduct of defiance through love & unity. Beautiful.

Same...I was born in the same Mississippi town Morgan was raised in. By the time he opened that book and saw the graves stones I was crying my eyes out in the Kroger parking lot and wiping my nose on my sleeve. I looked up and a whole family in a van was staring at me. LOL

That Morgan Freeman family story is amazing...would be a great movie

Morgan's story of his ancestors is so very touching. Sullen yet also very hopeful. It should be a movie narrated by him.

Not only did she live with a white man he lived 30 plus years with a black woman and raised his children with her. That's called a family. This is my family's story in Alabama, except there is a marriage certificate of their union.

2020, regarding all the historical programs I have seen this happens to be one of the best programs that I have watched. The host of this show he is excellent when it comes to representing people trace their ancestry DNA. Love It!!

Slavery was only 5-6 generations ago so it could very well be your great great grandfather.

Tina is so regal, I am not sure I have seen a woman as beautiful , talented, confident, accomplished, and traveled as her. She is like a soul model.

5 years after imagine that!! I never heard morgan voice so high!! Your ancestors action directly link to how you move and think! Wow I'm shocked my people went north......

Been searching out and finding graves of my ancestors lately. An incredibly moving and humbling experience. Highly recommended to all if you can get there, and do it sooner rather than later - as you see, not all will be around for that much longer.

Wow..I haven't seen this yet before until i was searching some video to have some idea for looking for my roots or my family history .I love it.I am one of the Avid Fans of her..

All of our stories are colorful, we are no longer a lump sum, but real individual families.

The graves next to each other, surrounded by their kids, tells me that this couple truly loved each other. Even though they went through very hard times in a society where first mixed couples were forbidden and then looked down on, they still managed to stick together and have a family which they protected as well as they could and kept close to them. I sense a huge harmony, understanding and true love. Something Morgan Freeman can be truly proud of.
