I'm not denying the fact that we as a people are the first human resource and we should participate in building our continent but governments should put in place measures to facilitate that. Should I inform u that most of these corrupt leaders would rather invest their embezzled billions in Europe than investing in their own country?

eddie b You keep missing the point of what @ange daniel zue is saying. It’s not about excuses. And in fact you’re wrong in what you’ve said. Govts in the West do set up conducive environment for biz growth: there’s the rule of law, well-maintained roads, reliable energy and well educated populations overwhelmingly from govt run schools. All those things are not common in Africa. The fact is Africans rely much less on their govts than Westerners because african govts tend to be incompetent, corrupt and lacking in money.

What Wode Maya is doing is phenomenal. I enjoy seeing all the intelligent, ambitious, focus-minded diaspora on your channel as well as the different African countries and tribes. Africa is beautiful and you've been instrumental in bringing a different narrative to balance the controlled messages we've been getting our entire lives in the U.S. Salute. It's powerful when you're able to connect the diaspora from around the world. Incredible work Wode Maya. I keep Africa in my prayers. I'm a professor and I'm learning more from your channel than I've learned in any text books. You're a more effective ambassador than any government official. I'm going to call you, Ambassador Wode. God bless you.

@California Cowboy but rare are people who recognise liberia as their home because of the civil war and the misunderstanding between the indigenous and the settlers.... We have to look at the history, read it together and learn from it so that we can't fall in the same error like before... What happened in liberia was very shameful from the settlers who treated the indigenous like slaves, banned them from better education and many other things.... Liberia is our home either black American or African... The word liberia says it all... Let's come together to build liberia and be united as one person.. Together we can

OMG, thank you foe what you're doing, very inspiring. I'm Haitian, married to my Nigerian Igbo Husband for the past 10 year. I have been connected to Africa way before I met my husband. When we met in college, he literally thought I was Nigerian, because I already knew some Igbo dialect. We spent a month in Nigeria last summer with the kids, and they loved it. we visited Lagos, Port Harcout, Aba, and Owerri. Since them I have been dreaming to have a business in Nigeria, I even told my husband I want to move there lol. But, seriously your youtube channel will help me developing my dreams into realty. I will invite you to Nigeria on day, who knows I might even have business in Ghana as well. Good job Maya. Watching you from South Florida.

This is so inspirational. We don’t need the government to fix things for us. Each of us has a potential to bring to the table, change, and build our beloved Africa! Thank you WODE MAYA for the wonderful work!
