They need to stop making music under AFI. Davey was amazing in his prime, I rather remember his greatest success. they should have not risen AFI from the grave.

Glad I'm alive in this era. I grew up on AFI in middle school.

Grew up with this band. No one, single band had a bigger influence on me than these guys. Their albums got me through some of the darkest times. Thank y'all 🤘🤘 Much love and respect from Florida

Davey Havok sure is one of those persons that ages a little every 15 years, and he is awesome!! I love AFI since Decemberunderground, and they always get to connect with my emotions. Amazing!!!

Had a proud parent moment. Picked up my 7 and 3 year olds from after school, and when this song came on, they BOTH started singing along. 😭😍

Such a good video. Great modern twist on an 80's goth/arthouse style video. Absolutely love it. Love how AFI does not stick to a blueprint. They write the songs they want to write at that time, and change as they see fit.

Once again: I'M SPEECHLESS. Incredible, AFI kills it every time.

Old school fan here. I didn't follow them past STS and there was 19 years between the first and second time I saw them live (2000-19) ... but elder AFI is maybe more special to me. Love the Depeche Mode feel of this. I don't feel nostalgia from it though which is even better. It sounds fresh and engaging. For a band that has been a chameleon of style, their creativity is always intriguing.

Way ahead of their time as per usual afi. This piece of cinema is a work of art

New album has grown on me something fierce, I've always loved these guys and I love their evolution

Work of art. They outdid themselves with this video. The visuals here are stunning. One of my favorite AFI videos for sure. That ending with the burning trees and the bodies logo is chefs kiss.

I've listened to this song dozens of times now and I swear I get goosebumps EVERY. SINGLE.TIME.

Wow. I don't know how I feel about this song. It's such a trip

Digging the sound and hair! Reminds me of an artist of the 80s....spicier hair ...braids in back. I really do love that sound

[Long, probably dumb, lyrical analysis.] When I think about this song's lyrics, I can't help but feel like it's alluding to some sort of retrospection, despite a lot of recent press from the band saying that they're not a nostalgic band. Perhaps I'm just reading my own feelings into it. But this album feels like such a departure from their older works that I can't help but see it as a ending and a beginning. I draw some meanings in the lyrics to older works. Whitest hare could be Rabbits are Roadkill and/or a reference to Decemberunderground's imagery. Dying Stars could be a reference to Death of Seasons. and "Pink Eyes" is well, Pink Eyes from the Blood Album. The blackest hole may be where Davey's darker lyrics come from, and the referenced dying light is the end of that version of him. The reference to "you" (to me) is the fans who really cling to those earlier times in their music. The way those fans feel stuck in those lyrics "tied up by your hair" This is, of course, just a concept that keeps coming back to me. I have no idea. Judging by the majority of Davey's other lyrics in the past decade, it's probably more likely about a failed relationship or unrequited love. But who knows?

Not being rude, this was pretty in depth and I get that sometimes it's cool. I just feel as though everyone will pull something different or some deep personal meaning to this song or any song. I'd compare this to 3 people reading the same scripture in the bible and getting 3 different outcomes depending on the variables in their lives. I mean at the end of the day it's either you like it or.... you dont like it.

AFI, what a tumbling bag of emotions through the years, all the way back to the punk hardcore times, to the emo goth, to the pop, then to the darker alternative. Change is rough, but I keep coming back. I may not enjoy the album but some songs are bangers. Tied to a Burning Tree, that's a metaphor of life!

This sound is haunting, gut-wrenching sadness. "With the pink eyes in the blackest hole" you can't get anymore forgotten than that.

This is a pretty amazing song! More of this plz!!!
