Ya know who I think really started this? Chris Jericho. The EVPs were EVPs. They'd know factually whether or not CM Punk went to Tony and said "if I sign, I refuse to have Cabana in the building". I bet Jericho heard about the day Cabana approached Punk and got the Elite all riled up like "you know he's gonna get Colt fired over that, right?". And TYB, never being in a true big league shark tank environment like Jericho and Punk had, fell for it hook, line, and sinker. I think Jericho felt betrayed by Punks comments on AoW and held a vendetta. Who was right outside Punks locker room at Brawl Out screaming "you're a cancer, man!" ?? Whos a top guy in AEW who isn't in the Little Dick Kliq but has always been tight with Meltzer? And who got promoted to an office gig, which surely came with a raise, right after Brawl Out?? It sucks, but I think its true. Just like the allegations about that girl. You know 90% of women in that situation would just go with it, out of fear of either violence or being fired, esp if the boss knew they were being "sent to Jerichos hotel room" to "hang out with everyone". There was no bigger Jericho mark than me. When AEW was Jericho, Mox, Punk, MJF, Omega as their Top 5, I thought the sky was the limit for AEW. But he realized it's better to not teach these guys and just tell them "great stuff!" with that worker's smile and collect his check from the money mark while he coerces the young women on the roster.

I hate this narrative coming out of the AEW Ninny Gatekeeping camp including Tiny Clown that people "want AEW to fail". Um no, no one is making that argument, people want the product to be better. Theres a difference between shit talking and constructive criticism, Tony and their diehard fans cannot handle constructive criticism because that means personal accountability. But being the constant victim, projecting toxic traits and stances, and personal attacks is easier for these kind of people. It's no wonder they cannot grow their product.

Do i buy into the politics of others or do i just enjoy the shows being given! Punk shoulda stay retired in all honesty no offense to him but everyone involved woulda been better off.. glad hes gone now and doin better for himself! 🍻
