Aerts vs Warring Was Real Life Mortal Kombat - K1 Bout 3 Explained
Спорт
In the golden age of kickboxing there was a sudden elimination tournament, where 16 masters from all different backgrounds and styles came together to test themselves for honor and for glory.
Peter Aerts was a dutch kickboxer who had already won the Grand Pri once before. He used angled footwork to set up his versatile lead leg roundhouse kick. Nicknamed The Lumberjack, Aerts had felled many heavyweights by chopping them down until they toppled to the canvas.
James Warring was a former kickboxing champion as well as a former boxing champion. His punching power could end the fight in an instant, just like Aerts kicks. This was a fight where anything could happen at any moment.

K1 during its golden era was glorious. Combat sports at its finest.
Aerts was a true legend. He reminds me of the Larry Bird of kickboxing. He never really had the most chiseled or athletic body, but he was absolutely perfect at his craft and worked harder than anyone else.

Dude is a monster in person. I am a relatively big guy at 6'2" and hovers around 210 to fight under 205. Aerts easily had 3" on me and about 25 pounds solid. Just an imposing man whose skill set is terrifying. All the UFC fans have no idea just how many legitimately bad dudes are out there that dont want to engage in wrestling or jujitsu

@@Bognostrokulum Peter Aert hold the other guy. Any time a referee has to get involved in a fight it is because of a fighter being dirty. Now holding is the least dirty move out of everything else but still, the referee has to get involved, to break it up. Also the other guy didn't touch gloves because he knew how lethal Peter is so he wanted to start off the fight in attack mode.

In WCC Warring used the taped fist as a club. His hair pulling, I allow as it wasn't against the rules, but can be seen as a cheap tactic. His reffing was brutal here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/f3esksRylbLfZNI.html&ab_channel=RachellShipman

@@flowrepins6663 Thanks. His leg kick weakness is obvious to me but I never had a understanding on how he made it work. 1st fight - Brilliant psychology at work!
I love this kickboxing videos
Excellent.
Aerts , now 52 , said :" If the money is right , I will fight anyone , just give me 3 months" I swear , look at his training video's, he could still beat 99% of the heavyweights in the world, 20-30 years yonger then him. Thrue master of his craft.
Coming out cheap tells me 2 things about an opponent: he's an insecure fighter, also do not assume anything/ do not underestimate their lack of honor. If they win by some cheap maneuver they will never feel shame nor admit it was cheap. Because so many assume the opponent will be honorable sparring with someone including some dirty tactics from time to time may be warranted so youre not caught off guard by their next trick. Pulling down another fighters guard when their arms are tired (while not entirely dirty), using lace rubs, elbow rubs, sly headbutts or head placement to acheive 'accidental' headbutts, wrestling footwork, etc. BDC, i notice dirty fighting moves are not taught, probably with good intention, but have you considered an episode illustrating some dirty fighters/ tactics so fighters know what to look out for? Edit: as always love the hard work and super educational content of your videos!!
