After YEARS of using the first Aeroccino (which will now become my back up) I gave in and bought the 4. There is no comparison! The first one, while nice...is no where near the superfoaminess of the 4. Also, the 4 does almond and oat milk beautifully. The first one can only do skim or 1% really well. Best investment ever!

The prepared milk in this video doesn't look like the froth you'd need for a cappuccino. Looks just like regular hot milk.

My Aeroccino 4 has been working flawlessly since purchase in April, and suddenly, for the past 2 weeks, the foam collapses to just a few large bubbles when the cycle completes. Have tried several brands of milk these past few weeks. No difference. There doesn't appear to be any fault with the machine, but it seems hard to believe that all these brands of milk have suddenly become unsuitable for use in this thing! Very odd. I'm in NYC in case anyone local has experienced similar issues! Maybe our milk supply is just a bit "off" at the moment?! Thoughts, anyone?

@@TheTractorboy91 it was the milk!! Even though I tried a few different brands, must've been a weird batch at the dairy! Nespresso sent me a replacement Aeroccino, so I have a backup/spare now which is always nice! Couple of weeks later, the milk was back to normal. Half-and-half (if you're in the US) makes very reliable foam, by the way. Good luck! Probably just a temporary glitch.

I bought Aeroccino4 Milk Frother form Nespresso boutique shop in Dublin 3 months ago, it was working perfectly well until last week - it stopped frothing the milk. Customer service in Nespresso kindly pointed out that this machine is not designed to be used for plant based milks (soy, almond, coconut, etc). I found it strange as it was frothing the almond and soy milk perfectly well for the last 3 months. Obviously, they did not agree to replace my frother, only suggested to use semi-skimmed milk instead of plant based alternatives. So to summarize - I do not recommend this product to anybody, especially if you are not using cow's milk. Very disappointed with Nespresso on this one.

What you may be experiencing is that your producer of alternative milk has switched the source ingredients. What allows frothing is the presence of protein and the amount of it - thus animal milk possesses this protein and creates froth without issue - the more the protein, the more stiff the froth becomes. Because of the pandemic and issues of supply chain, your producer of plant based milk may have had to switch up ingredients - and the amount of protein in the ingredients just happens to be lower in the change.

Even when selecting the second option, hot milk, the aeroccino 4 makes foam. Is it required to remove the whisk ??( it says whisk for all preparations). It is not mentioned in the user guide.

We do not recommend adding anything other than milk to the Aeroccino4 as this could clog the whisk and impede proper operation. If you would like to create recipes with additional powders, syrups, instant coffee, etc... we suggest using the Barista Recipe Maker instead.

Better barista advise: Use WHOLE MILK to get the best out of your coffee drink.

In fact I really don't understand why machine producers always say semi skinned milk... every bar/caffetteria in Italy is used to use whole milk, premium quality, to make cappuccino, latte macchiato and caffè (espresso) macchiato...

@@andrearighini4123 because semi-skimmed milk foams better than whole milk. The efficacy of the machines used in Italy; the ones you mentioned, is faaar faaar better than this, and can handle whole milk easily and make proper foam with it; foam that is stable. This is weaker, obviously, and is for 1/100th the price, and this is not able to make stable foam with whole milk. It can foam whole milk, but the foam wont be as stable as if you had used semi-skimmed milk. Hope this clarifies it. -Barista for 12 years.

To achieve foam, you need a specific kind of oat milk. Try oat milk for coffee, for baristas or the like.

I'll try my luck on here as +Nespresso haven't responded to my query from their website. Can someone tell me how you can wash the Aeroccino 4 by hand making sure that you don't get the element on the bottom of the jug wet but you can place it in the dishwasher? Contradictory

You can put the entire jug in the dishwasher. They just mention not to put it over one of the 'pins' in the dishwasher, probably to prevent damaging the inside coating. So just put it on one of the flat areas. Note: The base (with the buttons and the power cord) cannot be washed in the dishwasher.

I think there may be a safety cut-off if the underside is wet. I suspect this happened to me. Does it say on their website not to get the bottom element wet? Be aware that only the Aeroccino4 is dishwasher-safe, not the other models.

I just used my aeroccino 4 for 4/5 times. Now the milk isn’t being heated enough while using the hot froth option. What went wrong?

So, this is a video that is supposed to tell me how to use this thing, yet all it says is put the whisk in the correct position - without any attempt to describe what that position is, while the video also seems deliberately designed to hide the action of placing the whisk. meanwhile, my frother doesn't work at all (it won't even attempt to froth the milk before shutting off), and a bit of googling implies it's improper placement of the whisk, which is described as user error in multiple places... not sure how it's user error when there is no attempt to tell the user how to do it properly in the first place.

instructions so unclear. Says prepare 110ml of hot milk, but then shows a cup 90% full. then says to prepare ANOTHER 110ml of milk, but this time frothed. And somehow that suppose to fit in the glass? very confusing. Another note, earlier in the video, it was said to fill to MIN line for max foam, while in the macchiato instructions the commentator now says to fill to MAX for foam... TWICE !! VERY VERY confusing video.

You can rinse it out after every use and then end of the day, wash it out.

I use half & half because I like a breve' and I froth half & half for my coffee also. I make sure to clean my Aeroccono after every single use and to this day it froths beautifully. I even add organic stevia when I froth so I can drink through the sweetness. The trick is cleaning it! I always break apart the whisk to make sure there is no residue. My Aeroccono has not scorched and the non-stick coating is still perfect!

Compré un Aerochino 4 hace 2 años y 3 meses, dejó de funcionar, no reclame la garantía sino que me dieran asistencia técnica, Nespresso no responde, al final me quedé sin dinero y sin Aeroccino.

@@nespresso Ahora mismo no me es posible contactar con Ud. por Facebook, agradezco enormemente su interés soy cliente 3320831 Uds.tienen mi tfno y datos, en resumen el pasado día 7 marzo mi Aeroccino 4 dejó de funcionar, en concreto el mecanismo que hace girar el batidor, la base enciende y después de unos segundos se apagan todas las luces,el aparato se probó en su Boutique Nespresso cambiando las piezas. Entiendo que los dos años de garantía han pasado por unos meses, pero no veo normal que sólo dure dos años, cuando lo compré no se me comentó que esto podía pasar. En el manual en problemas solo indica 'error Aeroccino ' no dice nada más. UN SALUDO Y GRACIAS JRCI

Gracias por escribirnos. Tras comentar el caso con nuestros compañeros del departamento de asistencia técnica, nos indican que ya se le informó que el fabricante cubre los dos primeros años desde la fecha de compra. Pasado ese plazo, no se hace cargo de la reparación del aparato. Un saludo.

If the milk is not cold you are not going to have foam

dont bother buying I bouth it in ireland was making foam for 2days then decided it dont want to got replacement same thing. and yes I did try full fat no fat semi skinned same outcome makes cold foam but when I want worm its only heating the milk. Total crap will be returning

Hey dude. I've got the UMilk, so does the company I work for. My own machine works flawlessly and I have it for more than a year now. Still makes a perfect cup of coffee. My work's UMilk machine gets used A LOT, and on a daily basis. After a while I noticed that the machine no longer frothed the milk correctly. It would heat the milk, but not froth it. After some research I learned that if you do not clean the frothing whisk correctly, the milk debris would affect the consecutive frothing attempts. After a thorough cleaning of the whisk, the machine frothed correctly. So I would definitely give this a shot before taking the machine back
